Right?!? I suppose if you don't know how to diagnose a problem correctly you can always just bill the customer for the labor to replace a bunch of parts that were perfectly fine 🙄 It's those kind of mechanics that have laypeople thinking all mechanics are dishonest. 👎

@@TireSlayer55 That's exactly what they do. And then real techs must go behind them and try to undo the shoddy work to find the real problem, costing the customer even more money.

That’s why if customer doesn’t wanna pay diag take it on down the road. Knowledge cost between a parts changer and a mechanic

@@drippedoutnick5053 Problem is, most people are fine with parts changers if something is free. Just like politics, same mentality, only worse, then a bad vote affects the whole country.

The overseas version of all launch units is absolutely useless if you run into a snag as well, if anyone purchases the north american (Canada I beleive) versions of launch scanners supposedly it's better.

Thats a tough one. Launch due to longer in the business. So far I love topdon but its still new and im still learning its features.

Most over complicate topology and its uses. But just like anything, repeated use will help understand

@@MasterTechLou this is my point, but trust me I know many people out there in the repair industry who don’t want people to know how to get used to using the obds because they don’t want everyone catching on to it, they don’t want the knowledge to be shared..some people are haters it’s simple as that ..

Yeah I hear you. Its tough finding one scanner that does everything you need to do on all makes and models. I dont think there is such a unicorn. So yeah it is hard to justify huge costs. On the flipside if you charged a flat fee of $Xxx for diagnosis it can cover the cost of the scanner BEFORE you purchase it . Dont say “I cant” say” how can I” and the brain will show you the way 😉 💫

@@MasterTechLou I’m buying the xtool d9 full version tomorrow..and if I’m honest it’s common sense to learn how to use one, just like if you want to know the weather on your iPhone you go instinctively to the weather app, you want to know how to travel somewhere you go to maps and so on, in the car if customer says the windscreen wipers are not working after checking things like fuse or switch or relay you would go to the menu on your obd which will be dealing with the module on windscreen wipers if no luck check the motor..it’s still a process of elimination even after all these decades..this time it’s only we have more technology within the car and we are holding a OBD2 and a scope meter and a multimeter..

Is it one of the best in price range for cars work shop? Or there is better?

In what facet? There are constant updates to software almost each time it’s powered on
