After surviving a near fatal bout with cancer, I bought a 2010 Victory Vision Tour with ABS. I was 65 years old at the time and had not swung a leg over a motorcycle since my 20's. I had to learn to ride all over again. This year I finally had the strength and stamina to ride from Sioux Falls, SD to Custer, SD, almost 400 miles, for the Sturgis Rally. Outside of just killing it on I-90, this bike ran like a champ in the challenging Black Hills, including a 5 mile run each day and evening to get from my friends house to the paved highway on hilly dirt and gravel roads. It is just an amazing machine, extremely reliable, fuel efficient, and a torque beast. I have put 9000 miles on it so far this year and it only gets better. Every time I consider selling it, I just cannot. Even the Victory-Indian dealer's service department has advised me to never sell it. As you mentioned, Victory is being appreciated now by a younger generation and they sell before the ink is dry on the listing. So far no problem with parts. I plan to put a Lloyds Timing wheel on soon, and perhaps a few other performance mods, but I have not had to make any mods on it since I bought it. At 6'5" and 280lbs it has been the only motorcycle that fit well right out of the box. I am glad I found your channel and look forward to seeing more of your content. Be safe out there!

I will never sell my plasma lime magnum such a unique bike, just wanted to share in regards to the timing wheel. With my bike I put a fuel controller had it dynoed and the timing was adjusted during the mapping process, I highly recommend this first and dyno as you add mods. Victory sends out the bikes on the lean side the first fun after it was a very different bike in a good way ...that my experience wanted to share ...happy trails friend

Just purchased a 2016 CCT last month…traded in a Harley Ultra Limited 2015…I honestly feel like I upgraded…more power, more comfort, suspension way better, air ride smother than Harley air ride…I have put 2000 miles in a month and I’m here to tell you…this bike is superior to the one I was on…very happy, wife is happy, never looking back…and I rode Harleys for 34+ years before I made the decision to do different…only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner!

The 106ci is an absolute monster of a motor. Cams, intake, exhaust, and tune will out perform a 114ci stage 2. My highball sure does. It's insane to think about as how much time has passed to allow competitors to compete with such an old motor.

My 05 vegas 8 ball with the 92" and 5 speed ran with both my brother in laws factory 2020 112" harleys. I'd like a Harley to ride hard and save my victory for the nice mountain rides strictly because of parts availability between the two. However the price of upgrading my victory into a 100" with 6 speed is justifiable so much I may just buy 3 or 4 victory drive trains to hang onto for a rainy day.

I have a 16 Cross Country with a LLoyds filter, timing wheel, PC5, gutted stock mufflers ((stock head pipes)), and a dyno tune. She makes 102 hp and 120 tq to the wheel. That will walk any stock 114 today and even keep up with the new 117. The 106 is an absolute beast!

Great video, thank you 😀 I`m always happy to see people showing support for Victory Motorcycles, they really are great bikes in every way. Polaris made a fantastic Motorcycle with there Victory Brand, I can only hope someone will buy the name and bring them back. But for now we can continue to show our love for them through social media and keep them alive!!! I have a 2016 Victory XCT and absolutely love it! I have a 2011 Cross Country. I did a Maximus tune, 505 Cams, a custom 2-1 exhaust and a new air cleaner. It’s an absolute beast now. One of the fastest baggers I’ve ever ridden. It’s super smooth and the power is incredible. Victory failed because of their marketing approach and they never developed an identity. Victory was a superior bike to Harley.

Sounds like a beast! I’m planning on doing the exhaust, advanced timing gear, and a power commander with a dyno tune here shortly. I’d love to do the cams too. And, in my opinion, Victory is STILL superior to Harley in many ways.

My wife and I own 2 Victory's each and we both want a few more on top off the ones we own now. Started buying them summer of 2017. Not at all worried about parts for them. Dumbest thing is to not buy because of parts. Go to your local car dealer and ask for a part for a 10 year old or older car. They ride great, fantastic power and at any bike night/show they always get people to stop and stare at them. Till the Wheels Fall Off !!!!!!!

Good video, I put 50k in a little over 2 years in my 2014 xct. Very reliable, the only maintenance issues were changing the oil, tires and cleaning the throttle body intake of carbon build up. With Lloyd's and witchdoctors you should have enough aftermarket parts support to keep them as long as you want. I have friends with 120k+ miles and they don't burn oil and have not been rebuilt. Keep the rubber side down!

I have owned 5 of them. Sold my last Vision a year ago to get into a home. Had the garage now so a place to keep a bike. Could not find a Another Vision at the year and price I wanted. Parts are finally dwindling especially after market. I ended up with a Honda ST1300 just a sportier Vision and all ready has the power from the factory. Already had aftermarket exhaust so just perfect. But since Victory was way ahead of its time it perfectly fine today. Especially a bike that likes and responds to simple mods increases performance easily., There is still enough aftermarket since Lloydz is still available to include the VicShop. So there is still some support just few and far in between. Luckily Victory bikes are easy to work on as simplistic as a motorcycle can get.

@dieselmutt8865
@dieselmutt8865 2 года назад
@@AG2W The comfort wasn't there compared to the Cross Country. I'm not a big person but the CC gives you ample room to move around with the legs and feet. The dash on the Challenger seemed kind of 'in your face', especially with the huge touch screen and the gauges seemed harder to read but maybe a person could get used to that. The engine had good power but also seemed it could be better refined which seemed odd given the throttle by wire vs the cable throttle of a Victory. Maybe all this technology is actually a distraction from what's really important.

I looked at the Indian Chieftain and while it looked like a nice bike, i found getting on an Indian was like getting into a Toyota, it had that immediate plastic feel. I will be sticking to my Harley's, currently own a 2009 Rocker C, 2014 Dyna Wide Glide & 2021 Street Glide. I've bought three different bikes from SLC Powersports over the last 6 years. They're my go-to. I almost went there to look at some sport bikes they have last weekend.😅 You can't go wrong with any of the Vics that they have listed! I had the classic cruiser models with the 92ci/5 spd l staged them u could make good power out of it. It’s overhead cam 4 valve heads. Also it has strait intakes from the throttle body this makes a difference with air flow where as on HD it’s mounted on the side of the motor so the intakes have a curve in them. Also the primary is gear driven and the secondary belt is opposite side. Alot easier and faster to change. HD finally found out u could make more power by having 4 valve heads. The timing wheel was not out yet when l had my bikes. But l read about it. It’s probably one of the best engine performance mods developed. I believe Lloyd developed it.

I think marketing and the fact that the fit and finish on many of them just was not in Harley’s league. I have heard more than a few victory riders complain that the paint gets damaged way easier. A few of them looked really good but there were a few that just looked more like they belonged in a Jetsons episode. I agree that performance wise they were there. I’d for sure say you are safer buying a victory now than you would have been before the internet days. But Indian dealers are way fewer and farther in between than Harley dealers, and an Indian dealer that could work on a victory if it did break down are even fewer. And todays Indian isn’t nearly the same that started over 100 years ago no matter how much they like to beat the “heritage” drum. They paid someone for the name and material and are now slapping it on Polaris. Darn good bikes also kind you, but can’t say it’s the same Indian at all.

Victory values have shot down in 2024. I can not believe how cheap you can get one. It is probably the ending of support by Polaris in 2027. People are afraid there will be no parts or parts will skyrocket. I would still take a chance on one for the 2024 prices.

I wouldn’t get a bagger as your first, so I’d stay away from the XC for right now. Any of their other models would be great.
