Just a few days ago I ran across a victory motorcycle that had a aftermarket S&S complete engine on it. So that told me that even if you’re low on options with victory brand parts to maintain and repair the bike, the aftermarket definitely has you covered. So even though the motorcycle is not produced anymore, it’s still a very popular & common motorcycle that parts will surely be plentiful for many years to come.

I agree. Aftermarket parts are usually a nice upgrade as well. I almost never buy anything from the dealership on any of my other bikes.

I love my Victory! I lucked out and bought my 2016 Victory Hammer S with only 342 miles on it from a dealer for only $7K out the door! I'm riding it to Sturgis this year.. from Florida lol! I have the 1/4 turn throttle, a throttle lock, Ness Shooter exhaust, K&N air filter, Hammer exclusive front fairing (that the seat cowl can mount to) Lloydz adjustable timing gear, KewlMetal quick release luggage rack w/quick release Viking bags, and I'm really looking forward to riding and camping on my trip to Sturgis.

7k!? Damn you stole that bike. It’s pretty much impossible to find a better bike than that for $7000. Enjoy your trip man! I’m riding the Oregon/ California coast with my victory this year! Can’t wait.

@JT2JZ I agree! But the dealer did try to screw me over by adding almost $1800 worth of fake "fees" but I said we had negotiated an "Out the Door" price the day before I came in to pay for it and pick it up, and when they started their "I need to talk to my manager" B.S. i simply walked out. My friend and I were a 1/2 hour away to go get a Moto Guzzi that had only 26 miles on it when the dealer called me back and said 'okay' they would stick to the original deal. Btw, it was bone stock when I bought it. I put on all the stuff. Some of which I got brand new this year! Parts are out there if you're willing to search it out. Enjoy your trip as well!

I like that you stayed firm on the deal and it all worked out. Nicely done. I bought basically the exact same mods for my victory as well. Very easy to find parts still in my opinion.

Well finding parts isn't a big problem yet. But! Finding a shop to work on them is extremely difficult. I am now having an issue with sputtering, could be my fuel filter which is overdue for replacement or fuel pump or something else completely which I don't have the know how to diagnose the problem. Plus riding on a long distance Trip in my opinion is risky due to the difficultly finding a shop to work on them. The vast majority of shop won't do anything beyond tires and oil changes on Victory's
@JT2JZ
@JT2JZ 2 месяца назад
Indian dealerships or aftermarket shops will always work on them. If a guy is mechanically inclined these bikes are very easy to work on for the most part. I do see your side though. A bit more risky still doing long distance. In my experience on a road trip you are screwed either way though. Last season I got stranded with my Yamaha r1. Starter failed but no one stocks parts anymore so in my eyes doesn’t really matter what bike you have. If you have issues it’s going to be a bad trip regardless of what you are on.

In my area, which is Western Massachusetts. I'm lucky I found ONE shop that is willing to work on My Victory. I've called many others and they won't touch them except for tires and oil changes. Thank You for your response. Love My Victory and really struggling with the idea of parting with it

@michaelroy925 that’s understandable. It’s sad they discontinued these bikes because they truly are great value for what they are. Very well designed. When mine gets higher in kms I will likely sell it as well.

I just bought a 2017 Victory Octane as my first motorcycle. There are many websites you can purchase parts from, the bike itself was very affordable and from what I've heard about Victory's reputation is that their motorcycles are very reliable.

I dont know about Canada, but the government in America requires vehicle manufacturers to make repair parts readliy available for 10 years after they go out of busines. Plus, there are places online that have wrekced ones you can get good used parts and engines. In fact, I'll be buying a Victory before December.

I just read on a forum some guy wrote "Victorys are overengineered", I googled it and your video came up. So! is it a safe assumption to say these motors are bulletproof? I've just got my Victory now in 2024, seems like my steel-horse was made to develop tons and tons of torque, and man! does she like to rev!? I've already hit the speed limiter, which kicks on at about 115 mph on 6th gear, nevertheless I'm getting the feeling my sled likes to cruise at 5th gear most of the time, unless you have a long stretch of asphalt without too much traffic in front of you, then you engage the overdrive. She can cruise at 5th gear hitting 110 mph pulling really hard and raising hell with that triple displacement v-twin sound and staying there for miles. Cheers! 🍻🍻😎😎

@@JT2JZ Indeed they are simple yet formidably designed; most OHC motorcycle engines need periodical valve adjustment, this motor is one of the few out there that doesn't need that; already loving her! and love ripping the streets on her! cheers! 🍻🍻😎😎

I bought a 2015 Vision November of 2023 with 32,000 miles. Currently I have 52,000 miles and the bike still runs like it’s brand new. I absolutely love my Vision. Performs like a sport bike and the only thing I worry about is tires and oil. This parts availability thing is waaaaaay overblown. First of all you won’t need any major parts because Victory motorcycles are solid. The most I’be ever heard of people having issues with is minor parts like a gasket or a washer, which can easily be replaced. These bikes are worth every penny.

Those Freedom motors are superior reliably, technologically, efficiently and powerfully wise to those new "indian" engines. The engine in the new chief is 10 C.I. bigger than the last Freedom motor, still, it provides much more heat and 'bout the same hp and tq numbers as the Freedom motor. Cheers! 🍻🍻😎😎

Hey man! Thanks for this vid. Your highball is awesome. I’m a brand new rider and I got my license last year. I fell in love with the Gunner, Highball and Vegas, but was quite discouraged when I figured out they don’t come with ABS options except in Europe. Would you consider any of these bikes good for a complete beginner, also have you had any problems riding without ABS?

I’m looking to buy an r6 can you recommend a few things such as what years models are good I don’t want anything newer then 2017 I prefer the old look better and how much millage it should have and etc..
@JT2JZ
@JT2JZ Месяц назад
The R6 is one of the most well rounded / reliable bikes in my opinion. I have owned many over the last 10 years without any issues at all. Get one newer than the really old generation R6s and I agree older than 2017. They are the most iconic body styles. They were relatively unchanged throughout the years. You would be happy with any of them. The exup edition like I have is a nice touch with slightly more aggressive tuning but not really much different for the average rider. Just look for one with under 30,000kms in my opinion. ( under 20,000kms is ideal when I look for a new bike ) After that they do start to show wear and tear especially if it was not looked after or stored outside.

Just bought a 2013 hammer 8ball today. it was fine at first seemed like the shifting was a little clunky, but after about an hour i noticed it was rattling (from what i think is the exhaust), is that normal? and it was freakin hot man, I've had a few motorcycles, does the 106 run hotter than usual? sorry for the dumb questions. thanks for the help if anyone can
