Should You Buy an Xbox in 2024? 

After 4 years out. Now the Xbox series x is starting to become worth getting. With games like cod black ops 6 coming to gamepass later this year. Fable and Doom the dark ages, the console will be worth it. If you want to have a budget console, Xbox is the go to.

I think this gen is mirroring the ps3/360 era. The ps5 is falling off like the 360 did and the Xbox is finally gaining steam. Will Xbox surpass ps5? Probably not. Is the Xbox becoming far more favorable for the majority of users compared to the ps5? Yes

I've been a Playstation guy since the ps3 but I ended up buying a series x a few months back. Now my ps5 is strictly for Playstation exclusives. All other games are played on my series x, it just looks better and feels more smooth to play.

I’m a ps4 owner but I won’t pay $700 for digital only ps5 pro nor pay $80 disk attachment. I am willing to purchase Xbox series X special edition 2TB for 600 as it comes with 2TB plus Blu-ray drive. I missed out on this generation of consoles because of the pandemic. Even years after I couldn’t find either one. So now since I have gaming laptop plus games pass it makes more sense get Xbox series X as my ps4 ruined my copy of stargate. Also I never bought systems solely due to the gaming library. I bounced from psone Xbox ps3 ps4 so I’m no fanboy. I even briefly had Wii and 360. I loved handheld as I had psp, vita, dslite, switch and before that game gear and gameboy advanced sp. I grew up Atari 2600 then genesis. I never was Nintendo guy.

I got Xbox series X on sale at Christmas time for 349.00. Maybe it will go on sale again at Christmas time.

200 dollar a year for renting games, not for purchasing game. Very different.

I don't know why anyone cannot see Xbox game pass is not a good deal Xbox game pass is only useful for browsing and testing out games but for long-term it's a total rip off not everybody likes to play all types of games some people like fighting games some people like sports some people like racing games so in light of that it is better for a person to purchase the game that they want and own it for as long as they want without paying a monthly subscription to play that same game it makes no sense and to top it off they are raising the prices That's a joke to me, it is sad to see people are getting played like a fiddle and they are not enjoying the music because it is all about money 💰💰💰💰 Believe me when I say they don't have there supporters best interests at heart so why should you add yourself to that list

I own a series X and every time I hear backwards compatibility it just irritates me. I have too many games that were on Xbox 360 that will not play... Walking Dead survival instincts, Aliens colonial Marines, ext.

Yes. Especially if you're a budget gamer. Buying a used Xbox One, or a budget Series S and then getting Gamepass is a great deal for budget gamers. And since the PS5 Pro still isn't out, Series X is still the most powerful console on the market. Can't go wrong.

My goodness, the backwards compatibility, wow! yes, Series X plays so many games it is just sick!

Can someone help me here, I was thinking between series S and X. I have a ps5 and a switch and I only want to play xbox exclusives and use its backward compatibility. I think saving 200$ should be considered in my situation cuz I already have ps5 as my primary console of this gen. What should I do?

Had a series S and only used it for Halo and Rockband. Everything I played on ps5, and only kept the Xbox cause of Indiana Jones. But seeing some of the titles like Doom and Black ops are coming to ps5. I ended up selling my Xbox for a steamdeck and I’ve used it more and just rebought the Xbox games and the new titles will be on steam day one. So I felt like I didn’t have a need for Xbox

Current XBOX One S owner.. It used to play all the BATTLEFIELD games on it just fine... Deleted everything off it, didnt game for a while. Recently got back into it, like last week lol.. Purchased COD MW3.. Sometimes it's cool, sometimes it's not. Internally I had the thought: "maybe this old XBOX just can't handle the game / data ?!" It has to be the reason.. I have SUPER fast internet, like ridiculously fast fiber-optic internet. Either it lags / stutters cuz it cant handle, or people are cheating. People CANT be cheating every other game right ?! So then I said.. I think I just need a new XBOX. Do I wait for one of those new ones ? Or do I just buy a current Series X thats out right now ?!

Personally, I've been steadily losing interest in gaming since the start of the PS4/XBO generation. The games just aren't appealing to me. Everything feels like a soulless cash grab. I did buy a PS5 because someone offered me a good deal on it, but I haven't bought a single game specifically for it. It's been collecting dust for months now.

I wanted to buy a PS5 but I bought a switch OLED because I invested a lot in my series s and if I would of got a PS5 I probably would of dropped my Xbox and spend a lot of money to build up my games for ps5 and ps network every month and it's to much money to put fourth between my Xbox series s and PS5 if I was to buy it if you know what I'm saying

I was genuinely interested in buying one like a month and a half ago, but after a lot of thought I found no reason to go for one over a PC/laptop IN MY CASE, considering I already had a PS5 for next gen games + a few exclusives. If you don't have any next gen console and also have the means to save up more money, I highly suggest going for PC instead. I've also found games are WAY cheaper for PC (a lot of times even when full price), so you'll be saving more money in the long run, i.e., Hellblade 2 is $49.99 on Xbox and $22.99 on Steam, Silent Hill 2 Remake Standard Edition is $69.99 on PS5 and the Deluxe Edition on Steam is only $36.99, just around half the price for the standard on console. And that's not considering other legit platforms like GOG that sometimes have even better deals than Steam OR the fact that you can still get Game Pass for PC.

I had 2 xbox series x and i sold them both. Imagine getting excited because a console which has been out for 4 years with hardly any games just got a showcase for new games 🤣

So after owning both PS5 and Xbox series X I would like too say ps5 all the way … the remote felt cheap from Xbox and made loud clicking noises .. the graphics looked terrible on my tv and for Some reason the Xbox would turn off mid game .. also the lag killed me with game pass …. Xbox seems more accessible because it’s cheap .. ps5 seems like a quality product .. my internet runs fine so it’s weird that the ps5 played cod effortless but on the series x it was laggy and the quality look terrible
