Looking for a new smart watch and can't decide which one to get? First world problems, I know. Watch the video to see if the new Galaxy watch 6 classic is really better that last year's Watch 5 Pro. Let me know what you think!
@@skyecloud968has to do with the screen and cpu power needed. My Garmin can last a week without charging, while reading my heart rate etc. But.. It has a terrible screen and very limited apps. But lasting just 1 day us a huge deal breaker for me. The 5 Pro with 3 days sounds a lot better. Wish they would drop a 6 pro though.
Both have i sent classic i kept pro coz the battery 1st 2nd classic it's too big not feeling satisfied with it but there was some things nice on 6 classic begins with the premium looks and the screen resolution and colours and the brightness is much better than pro but this doesn't even matter coz the pro also looks awesome and more useful and can use it the whole day even while u sleeping but classic it's possible to use it at any time and possible to sleeping while u wearing it coz it's too big so the final result is the 5 pro is the best and lighter than the new ultra also so everyone goes to 5 pro without thinking or regret the end 😂
I wish the 6 had a better battery. 😔 Trying to decide which to get. And the pro being titanium and bigger battery just is much better for me. Even if it won't last as long from updates
well there is promised 4 years of updates and I think 1 year of security updates after that. watch 5 pro came out in Aug 2022, so you have a few more years left. Although with the watch 7 coming out soon, think about the new watch or look for a good deal on watch 5 pro. good luck!
@@techgadgets100 i dont think 7 will be in my budget :( i wish! and thanks! im glad it will have a few more years. my understanding is 6 came out in 2023?
Just grabbed a 5 pro cellular refurbished through amazon for $150. I am coming from my 13 pro with apple watch ultra to the s24 regular with the 5 pro due to battery life and the brushed titanium look. Thanks for the video!
great choice... especially as the refurb will have slightly less battery health, but a massive bump up of the 5 pro will soak that up rather than the 6 classic which might struggle to get a day if it's only 80% healthy
Loving my 5 pro! It was factory refurbished from samsung and battery lasts 3 days and a few hours. I charge it while I shower and it goes up about 20 percent which is fast! Happy to know that if I need the full battery capacity I can count on it lasting
@@minusmartin2 For me, for watches- battery life factors heavily in decision. I love the watch 5 pro, mainly for the battery and the digital bezel just grew on me. Enjoy your new watch!
@@reverseside7387 Also you can probably get most of your money back with trade in promotions for the Watch 7, if there are any must have features. I hate to think like that...
You're absolutely right, the classic is a day and a half battery, when i had an Apple watch i had to charge every night so i doesn't bother me so much, but i wish it was like my Garmin, that thing last me at least 15 days per charge
I have the 5pro amongst other galaxy series' and no ways will I get the 6 although I love the 6 classic more the battery is a huge deal for me they should chuck it in the bin, super disappointed perhaps future models will have for the least a battery like 5pro
I agree, the battery life of the watch 6 classic is disappointing. They should have made a 6 pro. I should have my one plus watch 2 tomorrow which runs wearOS but supposedly lasts for 4 days. That might be an upgrade option?
They were giving these away the watch 6 when the new phone came out in my area and I see why. I would have gone with the Pro if this wasn't free when added with an already existing line
The classic is much nicer looking, and does not look as big a lip and screen not as far down as the 5, and the 5 pro has thicker edge which looks ugly and lacks indentations like the 6 has.
For sure they have different looks, hopefully seeing them side by side helped you decide which to get. Agreed, the Classic looks more modern with the thinner bezel.
I got a pixel 8 combined with pixel watch 2 lte through my carrier at a crazy 2yr contract deal price. Long story short, I couldn't stand that setup so I bought a s24u from samsung for 1200 and the 5pro lte from bestbuy openbox for $250. Night and day difference.
@techgadgets100 Unfortunately, because it's a contract, you can't return them. I'm stuck with them. Funny thing is I am trying to sell this pixel 2 watch for a cheap $100 and NO ONE is even biting at that price.
@@NigelM18 Thats crazy, especially since the Pixel 3 watch does not look like any big upgrade. the crappy battery life kills it for me. How about $25? 🙂
I don't agree. Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm is thicker than Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Have them both at same time and I kept Watch 5 Pro and sold Watch 6 Classic 47mm.
The difference of trying to use the Internet browser, and the difference between using the Samsung keyboard and the Google keyboard. Those are the things that I want to find out about. The browser on the 5 Pro is terrible, and you can't even hardly read anything because the resolution and screen is so tiny. I hated the watch 5 pro and returned it, and now I'm realizing that even though galaxy watches are ridiculously phone dependant and are complete trash, that they're basically my only option. I found a watch that's basically a tablet on your wrist, but everyone is saying that the straps are trash and one they snap, that the watch becomes basically useless because you can't use the straps at all. Overall, the smart watch game right now is complete trash. I'm tempted to just save my money and avoid what watches all together.
I remember i was in that same realm as you back before the apple watch ultra came out. yeah cool they had cellular back then but they only lasted a few hours actually standalone. finally apple upped their game and i enjoyed the watch ultra. I just switched to android so i am doing research on the android wear of things. at some point theyll offer what you need! for now, save your monies. you dont need a watch!
I had the always on display off, I think HR and SPO2 were set to every 10 min. I did not wear to sleep. Wifi and NFC were off. and maybe I was a little sedentary, so GPS was not draining battery much. Even if you are heavy user, 24 hrs is definitely on the low end, if you had the watch 6 you probably would not get through the day. Has it always been like that? If it is a new thing maybe reset the watch?
This was an AWESOME video... So many OTHER people get on RU-vid and are just trying to get their fame and they TALK TOO MUCH... Not you!!! You get STR8 2 the point and I, for one, very much appreciate it... You're highly knowledgeable... Thank you... And stop being thin-skinned... You do to work...
Link to the charger at 2:00 ? I have a similar one but the watch part only worked on my s2 active and not the watch4 😢 i have the 5 pro and 6 classic now sealed in box, trying to choose which to upgrade to..
Here is the link to purchase charger from Amazon: amzn.to/43d4hoj Here is a quick review I did about the charger if you have questions. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aojU0GeUcJE.html Thanks for watching!
@@techgadgets100 I've been hearing that 1000 nits of brightness is not enough when under sunlight are other youtuber kinda lying or something? and i read too on reddit, but you seem to not have that problem is it different case to case bases or no? I mean my samsung a70 phone bright enough and I can see it outside even when it is sunny out, but idk if the nit brightness is the same on the watches.
Sorry for the delay. The watch 5 pro gets to 1000 nits, the Watch 6 gets to 2000. I can see both even in sunlight, no problems. Your phone only gets to about 600 nits. Also keep in mind that this listed max nits of brightness cant be maintained for long or they would overheat, so they will automatically dim from max brightness. I would not worry about the brightness, both watches are brighter than your phone. thanks for watching!
Very nice review - glad to see you agree with the digital bezel being good, even though I have previous versions with physical bezel - the new digital is fine for me Battery is the big plus for me on pro
I know that everyone wanted Samsung to bring back the physical bezel but Im not sure why everyone hated the digital bezel so much. I thought it worked very well. Thanks for watching!
I think the pro version is dead, which I think is a mistake. I wish that Samsung would give us the option of a watch 6 with a much bigger battery. Agree that a pro version would have been great!
That's possible, but I think a lot of people would be upset that the Classic and the Pro are not being updated yearly. It would be great if they just made a bigger battery in the Classic!
I read that 5 was suppose to have a blood pressure thing on it. Yet it can not be the us version. Though do I want to spend 500 on a watch or spend 50 on a watch.
As far as I know, Blood pressure is only available in a few countries, not the US. I don't believe samsung has any plans on bringing that feature to US. So buy the watch based on what it has now, not what it might get.
@@techgadgets100 until they have a bp thing I think I am going to try out the blp 5. As that seems to be the overall best for me at the moment. I like the style of the band 7 yet it offers no speaker or mic.
On my country, Watch 5 pro and Watch 6 Classic 43mm are almost the same price. Wich one would you choose? I'm coming from a Apple Watch SE 2022, that's will be my first Android watch. Thanks for the video!
to sum up, big differences are digital bezel, better battery life and GPX file support on Watch 5 pro. Watch 6 classic has physically rotating bezel but needs daily charging- per my usage. In the video I highlight a few other differences but those are the deal makers, to me. I really like longer battery life, so my pick is the watch 5 pro. I think either one is great though.
@@techgadgets100 went for watch6 classic, as it is less bulky. I'm used to recharge my watch every day since I'm a Apple Watch user. Thanks for your opinion!
