As a freelance architectural draftsman and visualization expert I would say revit and 3DS Max are like reinforced concrete in such, with the properties of each software one complement the other..so where one is weak there is guaranteed strength in the other...Good video still Balkan Architect thumbs up bro
Do not stuck into one program, just try to learn basics of all of them because some time you need one part of any program. I used revit than max than lumion etc. Every program do something faster than others.
Can I import rhino models to Unreal for rendering? I have heard of Lumion but it's the first time for me noticing Unreal. I have never used Lumion nor Unreal coz I normally use vRay for Rhino.
@Ben Veasey thank you for the reply❗ Do u mean Datasmith is a plug-in of Unreal? What do you mean by 'cleaning up Real-Time rendering in Rhino'? In which software should I set materials for rendering, in Rhino or Unreal?
Great video as always BA! I basically learned Revit by watching your videos so thank you a lot for it! In regards to this particular question... Honestly, it makes little to no sense. I mean, it's like asking whether you should use a screw driver or a hammer. If you're dealing with screws then you'd go with the former and if it's nails then the latter. 3ds max and Revit are softwares devoted to handling completely different tasks , there's no one better than the other without context i.e. what you're gonna use these softwares for.
Thanks sir. Balkan . Yes i really do agree with u that 3d max is rellay highly recommend for rendering and it has powerful material outcome look .so, if u know how to setup and use 3d max , could u pls make a tutorial about it such as the process of importing until the rendering.. thanks Balkan. Appreciate ur effort
Thank tou ...I agree with you revit is faster to do 3d models but 3d max is better on render ...but i prefer twinmotion for render it's faster and give good results
Completely agree sir.revit is best as compared to 3ds max.i have been using Revit and I am having 4 years of experience in same field my imagination and everything increased by using revit.i love Revit and the way you explain.
thanks bro.i understand my need is modelling so photo realastic not needed so i am going with revit..once agian thanks for the amazing video do more ALL THE BEST
hi balkan Architect, İ have been learnt two software for architecture and İnterior design.Because i make a double major in university. You are always so beautiful teacher in youtube .Please, Rhino files export to 3ds max in rendering and revit files export to 3ds max rendering.Thank you for everything, I love you, keep on.
Always use 3ds max where any design is needed or rendering . There is more freedom and versatility. Revit is and will always be a cad program who benefits contractors as in the end they save money and make profit. Unreal is amazing and it has been taking strides to arch viz. Any software > for design than revit Revit = documentation and BIM.
i love revit very much when i learnt 3ds max i felt Revit is much smarter than 3ds max but i needed 3ds max for the reason u talked about the material and the real material ,, i have a Q here that Vray for Revit resulted in better rendering shots ?? can i use it and stop needing 3ds max ?! Also plz can u make tutorial for exporting files from Revit to Lumion and 3ds max ?!!
What if we use revit+vray as an interior architect? Actually i hate the environment of 3d max program but at the same time i wanna get realistic photos!
lol... Who requested for this comparison? Revit and 3D Max compliment with each other; One produces and the other renders respectively. It is not like Revit or ArchiCAD.... Revit or Sketchup... Revit or Chief Architect... Revit or AutoCAD... Such comparisons compare software packages that aim to achieve some similar outcomes.
Hi I’m a cvivil engineer graduate. I like to learn both designing part and interior designing. But I’m confused between revit and 3ds max software for using textures
Hello sir l live in India you can say out of country who are tha best software revit or 3ds max please sir reply your answers I am waiting for your answers
Can you post a video on how to get a DETAILED SITE MODEL? Like site plans are cool. But if you're doing projects in the city (like a student at university normally has) we need the site model for revit. For our 3D views - plans - sections - elevations etc. Right now we do something like importing the digimap file, and then combing it with like building heights (from buildingheights website) or rough calculation via bricks. This is kind of easy, but you get a very blocky volumetric model, any idea of how to get something more details without manual correction?
3ds is depreciated software, unless you've got a really obscure use case or using an a pugin like krakatoa you're literally paying 2k through the nose for something blender can do for free. Maya still has its use case since its excellent at rigging/animation.
You are saying wrong bruh!. People do not use 3ds max for animation. People use 3ds max for modeling and rendering because of its awesome tools like hard surface modeling and vray or corona renders. Where as for animation, people use Maya because its an industry standard, maya pipleline is very strone because of scripting like python and its own.
can you tutor us into making one of that scene in the revit render you posted... or maybe just explain the workflow quick without going into doing everything
Hey buddy! I have a question as an architecture student...... Should I learn 3D max or Maya for the future environment as now that the required animation and 3d environment is getting more and more prevalent?is 3D max works better with Revit?
hey! I am a civil engineer i just got my degree in june 2018 and now looking for job opportunities in this field...I have knowledge of revit, autocad and staad as well what should I do??
of course, knowing the architects part is very important as well, but when you reach MEP, electrical and plumbering, becomes more usefull than you think
@super- troll ya why can't u understand simple things in simple way, my question is very specific, is there any other bim software to make easy and fast, which is not always possible in revit. As I know very few people use revit for this kind of complex family, so how they paid in architecture office.
@super- troll my question is about making complex family in revit. I think even you also know I hope, in revit not always possible, so what to do???? My point is only that. Pls do some job instead reply
