@@IronsideGeorge it’s on 13 out of 13. I didn’t really click with Edward, and I couldn’t get myself to liking the naval combat. I didn’t enjoy it in any other Assassin’s Creed game either, but at least in the other games it’s just a small part of the game, in Black Flag it’s the main thing. Rogue too, but Rogue had the puckle cannon which helped a lot imho and was shorter anyway, also Rogue’s story was a lot more interesting to me and I liked Shay a lot more. Then Black Flag also didn’t feel great in both its stealth and combat, combat was AC3’s but I felt less menacingly, and hardly ever could do a double counter kill which was a real shame given how common and cool they were in AC3, and stealth lacked ranged silent deadly weapons (basically one throwing knife only). The overabundance of seas didn’t help me liking the game either, and all the tailing missions got a bit boring as well, and naval tailing missions were even worse. I heard a lot about the final cutscene being great so I eventually did force myself through the game but I just wasn’t satisfied, the ending was disappointing, but maybe that is because I just couldn’t really care about the game anymore. I feel like the game would have been better off if they didn’t force the assassin stuff in it, after all even though he understood all he had done wrong in the end Edward wasn’t a character that fits the idea of the assassins, guns and cannons are all but “hide in plain sight”, the modern day story was the first one to be lacking, I think if they made it a full on pirates game it would’ve done a lot better. It wasn’t the worst experience I’ve had with games, the antagonists were the best yet as a whole imo. The map was really gorgeous (at least the land was) and the setting is pretty interesting. I don’t think I had many glitches during my playthrough either. I guess it’s a 4-5 out of 10, so could’ve been worse, but sure should’ve been a lot better. It still stands as the only AC game I just couldn’t enjoy

Sincerely respect this comment. Whilst sometimes they’re a little longer than than they need to be, overall they’re “good” tailing missions. But, for me it’s the sheer volume of them. They make up 25% of all missions and it just feels like too much to me ✌️

I whole heartedly 110% agree, it's a horrid game, black flags supercede's it in every possible way, I know alot of older games waaay better than the newer games, look at the environmental, cloud, fire and particle effects at red dead 2 compared to modern Interpretations, another game over 5 years old putting modern games to absolute shame

Appreciate dude! Completely agree with you on the story side of things, which whilst great were Assassin lore lacking. I loved Pirating though, the overall gameplay was just so satisfying 🏴‍☠️

I like Charlie as well, but Matt Ryan actually gave his voice and likeness to the character. So if there's ever a movie, which I doubt given how awful the 2016 movie was, it should be him. 😁

@@jeffw.1854 on again off again, and there was a stretch of years where I didn’t touch it. Just so many distractions and it really didn’t hook me in. I got Unity and finished that before this game.

What a way to start! Do you have an idea of what you’re going to play next? Yeah they can be guarded sometimes - fun to boot them off and keep running though 😊

I'm playing black flag on switch and it's so good....I ordered AC2. I beat it years ago when it came out. I honestly thought black flag wouldn't hold up, but it's awesome. So it made me wanna get 2. Probably get 3 again as well

I'm just worried if they'll think I used some kinda crack to get the dlc because I used a mod to solve the Kenway's fleet loading problem.

@@IronsideGeorge First playthrough of Origins was 320 hours for me. Odyssey was 418 hours and Valhalla was 423 hours. All three games included the DLC's for each game. Maybe I can break those records on my second play through. 😛

It's a really bad optimised game and the PC port too, cyberpunk runs better. I'm on a high end pc and have to turn of Phys X to get stable framerate

It’s as I say, it is super enjoyable! Though to be honest I think the combat in most AC games is pretty easy to learn too, though I guess you have more options like abilities and heavy attack in the last four games. Either way, it’s awesome 😁

yeah for me if here are any main reasons for playing AC games is must be about being bad ass character doing whatever the fck i want around the lively open world in a great beautiful story with full of bad ass cutsceens . Why would i choose AC games for a great combat system when games like Dark Soul, God of War, Devil May Cry exist ? AC franchise never should be about combat focus.

That’s a really good point to be honest. I definitely think they should be a staple of any AC game, but I still think they were over used in Black Flag ✌️

You will want to spend time on the ship, it is really well implemented and actually a lot of fun.

Basically an open world game. Some mission required to use the ship and some mission are on land. But the naval combat is the best part of this game.
