Hang in there, i started at launch and never got a 5 star gem in the first few months,i quit the game and came back during the was bloodknight launched then the flood gates opened, now I'm running a 4/5 BSJ & 3/5(Bottled hope, gloom, starfire, roiling ,seeping bile) The starfire is the only one I bought with plat, the rest were drops from rifts

You should consider making a new series of playing, one where the only thing you can purchase is the battle pass and nothing else, see how far you can take it :)

Yes. If you want a fun game with long progression, go for it. I am F2P and as a player who plays Diablo games only for PvE, I can play a lot of content without need to spend money. I know that PvP is P2W but I don’t play it so it is not an issue for me.

If u already have plat, yes. Its great because u can buy resonance for cheaper, if u are new to the game and completely f2p u will find it painful to level up. It's 100% different for different people

Only problem is at end game you will have to make a choice to spend or not. The game almost demands you do, especially if you want to be relevant in PvP. So you'll end up full circle, stuck in that quagmire of not being able to progress as fast as others and slowly getting tired of the grind and game itself. Game's making you nostalgic for the good old days. That's bad.

In pvp f2p is killed by Blizzard. Until a few months ago it was playable but not amymore. Pve is way to easy

Low spender isn't f2p. F2p is without spending a dime. And... about gear level grind. What does it have to do with f2p? Lol. All player are grinding scrap/dust doesn't matter if you're a spender or not. It takes time to max your gear level. You can't buy scrap and dust 😂

I'm free to play and I'm having a great time. I dobt even notice the pay players nor all of the concerns they complain about on reddit or RU-vid. I just go in, have a good time, run the dailies, try something new and see if I survive after some very modest upgrades. I clearly see the progress of my time spent. To be transparent I don't pvp. I save that for other games that don't have the p2w mechanics.

I'm f2p and finally just obtained my baby wings. Feels so good to have earned them without paying for it. Also get a new cosmetic with the wings xD.

Are you serious? on my server, the market is dead, lag is insane, you have to be combat rating 38000 to finish path of blood to get the extra damage it gives you, the blue and gold runes dont drop to increase your damage, you do elder rift and bots are in it stealing your good gems and all you get are 1 star gems, the bots are level 30 to 43 and when you check their equipment they are not wearing any, do you want me to keep going. You're just pushing the game because you're affiliated with blizzard and the games dying

You won’t even touch PVP as F2P only if you played this game like a job to keep up with all the high Res player and making sure you played from start… PVE would only be fun at the beginning parts of the game, once you reach end game you can’t do much it would take forever to upgrade anything. So that leave you to get an active warband or guild to carry you through everything which is boring..

Here's the thing, they've made it easier for f2p. Pay to win isn't worth it but neither is f2p right now when theres a known bug around class change and the armory system where the game can just up and delete legendary gems with no warning. all of that progression gone.....theres so many bugs in game right now that it's not even funny. I'm glad people are having fun but there are others that the game has been ruined for.

I just get the battlepass and ignore battleground. Still enjoying the game. Play mostly solo and tend to group just for heliquary and terror rifts.

Summary: you can enjoy DI even if your F2P. But you can only truly enjoy the game, P2W is the way.

It isn't f2p friendly at all.. for example, a f2p person can not complete path of blood. The cr requirements for floor 100 is 38k +. Not a chance f2p is hitting that at paragon 360. They'll barely have cr to do Raids or challenge rifts. They'll need carry for almost everything.

Thats not entirely accurate. Im f2p from the beginning with 38334 CR, easy done Path of Blood, Raids (inf1), Crift (at 235 i thing) etc.

This guy is out of his mind. 😂 No dude u won't. U can't farm resonance specially now. And no u dummy u can't make plat as a f2p if market is the way it is now. Buyers market means u already have plat or u buy plat to but stuff. If u are free to play u can't make plat if everything u caj sell, sells for dirt cheap. Grinding for gear ranks is hard af and u won't get enough cr to do pve content without dying frequently.

F2p here, I don't even buy BP, sader, Legend in both BG (2nd on server) and tower wars (1st on server)
