Have you guys used 0patch? let me know below.
@greenonline5469
@greenonline5469 Год назад
Hey Brian, I can confirm I used 0Patch on Windows 7 from May 2020 until 18th January this year (now I use Windows 11) and I must say I do appreciate how you didn't just talk down on it for being 3rd party and actually checked it out and suggested it as an option if people can't or refuse to upgrade. It definitely worked out for me for the last three years but I do very much agree that it's time to let go of 7 now. Going by XP's history, Chrome ending support will be the beginning of Windows 7 software deprecation which will quickly follow into other software and very quickly into other web browsers (unless maybe if 0Patch finally gets widely recognised which it wasn't in 2020) so in time people are going to be forced off the OS because of that anyway, so to me it makes sense to migrate now that's all starting rather than later. Also I would say it's 99% definite 0Patch will security adopt Windows 10 since they are going to security adopt Windows Server 2012 & 2012 R2 when they reach EoL in October. In fact I imagine the 0Patch demand for Windows 10 will be a lot greater than Windows 7 ever was (which was already pretty huge itself) because of the hardware restrictions on Windows 11 (and maybe Windows 12 by that time too).

@@randomgamingin144p yeah I have used the registry bypass on VMs before, but my old PC was so faulty after a BIOS update that not upgrading to Windows 10 again or going for Windows 11 felt like a safe move. Windows 7 worked reasonably well and I didn't have any idea we were getting a Windows 11 until September 2020 (to me it was very obvious a lot sooner than it was leaked we were getting Win11) so I felt best keeping my original OS until I got I built a new PC.

Windows 7 rocks I'm listing to his video now and I'm waiting for him to say the reason why Windows 7 will come to an end because he said 2025… The only way you can kill Windows 7 is to take away the browser. Browsers globally would have to be written no longer be capable of being installed in Windows 7 it doesn't mean Windows 7 couldn't use them the code has been written simply to not install. And then even somebody will probably make a hack and remove that code preventing it from going in. Windows 7 truly rocks and in many ways better than Windows 10 or probably I've never used it Windows 11. You're right about software Microsoft rights the programs to refuse your software it's not that your software wouldn't work it's been told not to… Talk about illegal yes there terrible people… I have a dictation program sorry for rambling

When these new in the wild virus's/ransomware came out. Our Windows 7 boxes crashed preventing the virus from infecting it. Hello, I am unwilling to use Windows 10 because of the Telemetry issue. I have researched Telemetry and my understanding is you cannot completely turn off Telemetry, only set it on Basic. Have you ever been able to completely shut off Telemetry and verify this with utilities such as Sysinternals TCPView, Nirsoft LiveTcpUdpWatch or Nirsoft CurrPorts? I know there are various tricks to shut off Telemetry such as using the Registry, Group Policy Editor, Task Scheduler to disable the "Customer Experience Improvement Program" (CEIP) and to remove the execute setting for file CompatTelrunner.exe. There are experienced users who report even Windows 10 Enterprise returns data to Microsoft. Mozilla Firefox still supports Windows 7. However, Guitar Pro 8 and other guitar programs do not. Also, Anaconda Python stopped supporting Windows 7 almost immediately in Jan 2020 which is sad. Furthermore, Mathematica 13 stopped supporting Windows 7 although Wolfram has priced themselves out of the market and this is not as needed as Python. Maybe you could make a video on Windows 10 on how to completely disable Telemetry and verify this with one of the above three utilities. Even Windows 10 is getting old and will only be supported for 2 more years unless Microsoft changes this. I will not be using Windows 11 because their TPM disables anonymity and allows other software to identify you using the onboard motherboard key. For this reason I will be using Linux in the future. It's just a matter of when, not if. I am hoping I can run any required Windows software I need in Wine.

That is good to know, i'm poor and my computer truly sucks, 4GB RAM, my GPU burned and i barely can use browser on windows. So i multi-boot with Linux. I know Win10 will f- up things i have. My friend also had a 4GB laptop and his DAW (the same i have) simple couldn't work with Win10. My brother (using Win10) says his CS:GO lags, and when i had my GPU, CS:GO was running fine. If i can keep for two more years, that will be great, after that, i'll go full-blow Linux. I don't understand that, byte is byte, if Linux manage to always work, why does Windows always have to change things in a way that forces you to "modernize". Some people are born in third world countries!

I have mixed feelings on the topic. I believe that overall, 7 was the best o/s MS ever released....in comparison, 10 and 11 feel harder to use, and bloated with features that most users would never want or need. But there's no arguing that 10/11 are more secure. I run 10 (begrudgingly), and will update to 11 when support for 10 is nearing it's end

Yes, totally agree, with you. We will half to upgrade to new platform, of this will happen when Microsoft stop violating our privacy to make an extra buck. Why do you think that the end of life for windows 8.1 is ending soon? Microsoft has embed their spyware so much into windows, by just removing any spyware, you will get problems. Is our violation to our privacy really the cost for security? Most people like I uses Microsoft for the amount of software that is available for it and back in the day during Windows 7, Microsoft respected our privacy, well; much more then they do today.

the only thing to stop Windows 7 would be everyone to write browsers special code to refuse install in Windows 7. Computers are all 64 bit nothing has changed but they can write the software to detect Windows 7 and simply not go in. But when that day comes there's probably going to be someone that will have a browser hacked or make a new one independently without this malicious code… For the most part that's how they got windows XP to fade away the main browser corporations were paid off and no longer would install into Windows XP… And remember XP could run all the browsers they were just told to detect XP and not go in… They're criminals. Anyway Windows 7 rocks

My reasonings: - Windows 10 is the ugliest OS ever, no aero, no style, 2d, flat, looks almost like ms dos. - It is hard to use. - Microsoft full screen pop ups forcing edge and other bloatware. - Candy crush saga. - Replaced Windows 7's solitaire with some lagging shitty adware version of it. Not nice. - Windows 7 is much faster, and it just works. Also it doesn't show me ads, which paid stuff shouldn't do anyway. - It's spyware. - Useless notifications 500 times a day about how windows defender didn't find any threats, and some other bullshit. - Can't do safe mode. - Forced updates that cannot be turned off (no freedom) - Forces to use an microsoft account when installing it (no freedom) - Horrifying and totally unusable start menu, doesn't even have control panel in it. And can't drag stuff from start menu to desktop. - I don't want to learn a new OS every 3 years, why always change everything, but improve nothing? Yes, I'm forced to use Windows 10 at work and I totally see all the great features that I'm missing, including the ones above. Also, why should I move on? Windows 7 works flawlessly for me, and newer isn't always better. Especially in this case.
