Ive been taking pregnonlone for years. Plus omega threes. B complex. And a good multi everydsy. Now at 80 im fully functional mind good and active. Its a life saver
Great presentation. I just completed a bottle of “Life Extension” . I will not reorder. However, I am still taking DHEA. Great presentation. I appreciate the clarity. Please advise.
This has been extremely helpful and I will share with my patients. Often people want pregnenolone because of what they read online and it’s extremely difficult to educate that it’s not right for everyone and we are better off addressing the root cause !!!
Very interesting and informative video. A lot of the info on here would be dissapointing for many people. Ive read that people look to take pregnenolone to help reduce stress and increase energy and sex drive etc. but it seems you need to have all these in check before taking it which removes the reason to take it in the first place. Kind of a catch 22
Thanks Robert. I catch heat (and a lot of lost income) for not recommending supplements more. But that's the point: if your foundation (diet and lifestyle) is on point it eliminates the need for a lot of supplements. And with something like pregnenolone - which can be turned into so many other hormones - it's really hard to predict how any one person will respond.
Great video! I will say, I would be especially careful supplementing vitamin a. I did so with blood tests taking below the rda and it caused elevated bilirubin and liver enzymes with associated symptoms.
Which brand sells the non plant based of bioidentical form of pregnanolone? Usually it is impossible to tell, because they don't mention it on the label
I had to re-listen to the part where you talked about how adding pregnenolone actually makes your pregnenolone levels worse when on TRT. I’m on TRT and whether I take pregnenolone or not, my pregnenolone blood levels are so low. Is there somewhere I could read more about this? Should I stop pregnenolone?
Came here because I saw a couple comments online saying Pregnenlone worked well to boost libido… Is this a supplement I can just occasionally take before a date night with the girlfriend?
Good Video . In Germany most Doctors are not aware about the Potential of hormones. There are important studies from Dr Römmler. I wonder if pregnenolon is bioidendical when it is made of wild yams like progesteron etc.
@@AskCurtis ??? you said: 6:39 if you supplement with the right form of pregnenolone it's not going to stop your body from making it 6:44 but if you use a plant-based form of pregnenolone alone uh it can stop your body from making its... Soo - how can you say THAT and have ZERO basis for the existence of the "right form", animal-based or modified plant-based or otherwise? Why even bring up the issue of the best "form" of supplement if you can't reference a safe & effective choice, by mfg/brand? Am I missing something here? imho, it seems to be kind of important, eh?
@@donapodaca3729 looks like he's saying stuff to look smart... He doesn't even know an alternative...for being a pharmacist thats pretty dumb! I have a medical background by the way, and never heard of bio identical from an animal.
I looked the DUTCH test, which doesn’t test pregnenolone, but my DHEA-S level was 58 (low end) and I had ridiculously low levels of cortisol in the first half of the day. Additional, higher estrogen levels. Normal for everything else, including testosterone and progesterone. I’ve also been regularly checking my thyroid, which has always been normal. Struggling with a lot of hormonal symptoms. Wondering if pregnenolone would be good for me. I’m a 33 year old female.
Can't say whether or not it would be good for you. I will say it could potentially help your low DHEA levels. However, it may also increase your already high estrogen levels. Fixing hormonal symptoms is such a tricky thing because the downstream effects of adding in one supplement can have a lot of effects - both good and bad. That's why it's so critical to address things from diet and lifestyle. When you get the diet right your body can correct those hormones itself over time. I've found this book helpful and a good starting point for people: amzn.to/3UPNN3Z
I was told that since I'm on TRT, I definitely want to take pregnanolone so that I can still produce progesterone, since my body apparently can't make enough progesterone on TRT. This video makes me think that might not be true, can you please clarify? Thanks
wtf is this video, you don't mention why it's bad for a TRT user and what sources are animal based and what sources are plant based, this is basically all speculation with zero evidence/explanation
