You need lysine and NOT arginine. Arginine is non-essential but lysine is essential. And there is lysine arginine antagonism. The real problem is too much arginine in our diet causing lysine deficiency. Supplementing with arginine will have a short improve effect because of NO but by time it will worsen everything because this NO could turn into inflammatory (ONOO-) without lysine. And Arginine from diet is mostly broken down in the body increasing ammonia level what can cause neurology problems. Lysine is stored in the muscles. Those 22 reasons belong to endotelial arginine (produced by body) and not arginine from diet.

I flipped a riding mower on my left shoulder a few years back. my arm went dead and I could not move it. I knew I had torn my rotator cuff. I did some reviews on RU-vid and found a guy that a similar case. He did wall wall-crawling exercises with his hand, combined with using a vibrating heating pad, and you guessed it taking 2000 mg of L-arginine every day. well, I would try anything before having it cut on. after about 3 months of doing this, I got full motion back in my arm. At this time I had my yearly physical, my family Doctor checked my arm and said it seemed fine but sent me to have an MRI and see a specialist. The specialist read the MRI and said he could see muscle damage but after testing my arm said my arm was fine. It has been about 6 years now and I still have total use of my arm.

Thanks for the summary and confirmation of what we read about L-Argenine. There are so many different vitamin and supplement manufacturers and as a person spending a lot of money on supplements to help with my neuropathy, it is hard for me to know which are the best source. For example, who has the dose they claims, which one has the best absorption rate vs it just passing through our system....So would you know of any 3rd party companies that evaluate vitamin and supplements for assessing the quality of the products.?

For everyone asking about how much is a good dose to take. 3-6grams is a good guideline. It's usually cheaper to buy in a bulk powder form. I usually take 2g in the morning with my magnesium and 4g while warming up at the gym before lifting. Hope this helps
I wouldn’t take that in the gym because after 10 min warm up you will have the same natural response. I think it’s the best to take that before sleep, which will help you with growth hormone - that you can tell by your deep sleep. Did it 2 times (3g) and my oura ring shows 2h20min of deep sleep out of 6h sleep which is outstanding. I will do it more time to exclude coincidence/randomness. But it actually has been studied and is seems to work. Check Dr Huberman who describes mechanisms.
