Alright you beautiful humans. Who's up to hang out with me on the next field trip? What else should we get into with this camera? Sending you all my best, and please protect that nugget.
Kevin, it's great to be able to record these moments while skiing to your heart's content outdoors! Thanks for your review and Insta360 One X2 is so cool!!!
Ah, you’ve endured a clavicle fracture, eh? Yeah, it looked pretty painful. He’s back on the field and playing soccer, although we still have some snowboarding season for a little longer, but I think he’s good until the next one. 😉
Glad to hear your son is well. Love this camera. Super easy to capture video footage while active with my toddler son bike riding or at the jungle parks without the stress of “point and shoot”. Editing in their app is user friendly. Best wishes brother. ✊🏼
Yeah, I think if we start seeing 8K as more of a mainstream (consumer level) product, this would definitely level up what we can do with these in post. I’m down.
@@KevinRossRN yeah the thing is that these 5k cams being 360 it's more like 1080 for what your viewing, I'f that. My max does pretty decent but you can really see the quality issue when you watch a 360 in VR. I was really close to getting a insta360 for my trip but am holding out to see if we get a new model with higher Rez soon
Yeah, I think kiddo is still appropriate, although they’re all walking around looking like men these days. But classic household as you know because he’s all healed up and Flynn ended up fracturing his arm just last week. Unfortunately that one is going to need surgery. Never dull around here 💀
I bought the insta 360 went on vacation and took footage when I went to look at it it was all bleached out. Settings for sunlight need to be set on a phone and it doesn’t work out of the box. It was in Mexico 🇲🇽 so very sunny and no cloud cover. Also tried it after correcting it in shallow water and it broke immediately. Returned it and thankfully bought it at Best Buy for no issues on returns with failure. Switched to GoPro 360 cam and I should note that it’s not for underwater use as footage will come out blurry. But I got some amazing photos on a kayak on the following vacations and am satisfied. I use the same selfie stick I bought for the insta 360. It ruined my vacation but at least the stick works lol.
Yeah those setting are something that really needs some extra attention to dial in when it comes to the exposure. I found the same that when I was in all sun it was rough, and I really needed a ND filter. That’s a bummer that the GOPRO didn’t perform under water. I’ve used the 7 in Belize and got some great shots. These things are fun, but they take more work than just hitting the record button. Appreciate you sharing.
@@KevinRossRN we have a 7 for underwater too but the 360 max gets blurry under water and it has something to do with the lens shape. Excited for snowboarding season for sure with the 360, be well!
Alway wanted to get a 360 , but just don’t like the fisheye effect you get , can you turn that off for the 360 effect or dose it have to remain on in all the videos
You can get a “flatter” profile if you want whether that’s in camera, or you correct this in post. It’s definitely not for everyone, I get it. However it’s been pretty versatile so far when working with the footage because there are ways you can correct some of this in post.
Thanks for the answer I’m going to have to look into this more , but if you’re saying that you don’t have to have that fisheye effect then it’s something that appeals to me A lot more thanks
