I really appreciate the advice regarding doing the same reps and sets but doing them better. Sometimes I try and force an extra rep at the expense of form, which is fine on occasion. But if you do it week after week the form eventually suffers too much. I think i'll be more patient in increasing my weight/reps in future. Especially on the major lifts

Thank you so much Berto, Mike Schaid from Team NPS is currently coaching me and mentioned this video when i last spoke to him, it's almost like you put this up at the perfect time for me. We've been working through some hip issues and there was a lack of motivation as I did not feel I was progressing in this field, we often forget to realise that progress can come in many different forms. I also have trouble with arms and one thing that has helped me learn in isolating them completely, or rather the bicep, are the supinated curls on a preacher. Those are really great and feel really good. Another exercise I "borrowed" from you is the one arm tricep pushdown with the arm in front, those two have helped me alot b/c I have always had problems bringing my other muscles into basic curling and tricep movements. Thanks.

Excellent video! Highly insightful and informative. Your technique is totally flawless. Absolutely outstanding work. Loved what you’ve said about improving technique and keeping it consistent from session to session because it’s not always about adding more weight or reps. Progressive overload can certainly happen in the form of improving technique and getting more efficient with a specific weight and reps target that is by eliminating unnecessary or excessive momentum and improving mind muscle connection and getting a better pump. out of all the bodybuilder's i've tracked over the years, your arms are, intuitively the best looking I've seen. Has nuthing to do with knowledge, or experience. It's kapow, instant. My brain tells me that shit looks insaaaaaain

Fuck all that volume. If you want to feel the burn take a zumba class. It's better to blitz, blast, pump and destroy your tri's with medial/lateral super sets nested into hyper intense drop sets and get in and out in 15 minutes.

So after you drop the last 5 lbs what's your reverse diet protocol like Berto, slowly add carbs each week? Does your protein drop at all since you're slowly moving out of the deficit?

I have but maybe I overlooked it as I didnt think about it until I saw this. Right now I do arm work at the end of Bench day and OHP day. So I was asking if it would be useful to add another a 5th day given that those body parts are lagging compared to back and chest

What does your press day include exercise wise apart from the barbell press? You could add some side rises and face pulls in a get some reps in, up the volume abit do a big but boring style after the main work. If your body can handle the 5th day you want to do without slowing down your progress or hindering your recovery go for it

right now, after OHP I do 3-5 sets of paused bench (does wonders) so it is pretty much big but boring but I switch the accessories of the other upper or lower body day (Deadlifts-Squats, OHP-Bench, Squat-Deadlift etc...) after that I do 1 or 2 pulling movements then some bis and tris and i finish up with face pulls. Thanks for the input by the way. I guess Ill jut have to try and see how i react to it

Like Calves, you cant train arms the same as you train chest/back/shoulders, all your doing is repeating the same speed/muscle patterning...more isnt more...its the same... unfortunately in making too many radical changing your untraining yourself to perform back with the weight you need...

+Jelani J cuz its all about the blood bro, ALL about blood in the muscle man, all about dem pumps, cause if you're lifting for more than 45 minutes you'll lose every single one of your gains, just do 1 set of 200 reps per bodypart once per week then go home and eat your chicken and broccoli, unlimited gains......ha. Natural Bodybuilding is all diet, heavy lifting, and progressive overload. Not to mention your method sounds like all you're doing is "feeling the burn" and not getting anything done besides momentary hypertrophy that's gone by the time you get home....
