No. You really did not in fact hear any of that in this. Kurt Cobain never used jazzmaster pickups. And besides, to compare Cobain to J. Mascis would pretty much be like comparing Corey Feldman to Jimi Hendrix.
@@AntonChestnut1. He’s not talking about pick up tone, he’s talking about tone of playing, general vibe (super noisy guitar sound held together by strong pop song writing fundamentals). On top of that J is a “better” guitarist technically, but Kurt is also legendary in his own right. Not in a technical sense, but a noise and tone sense. He’d get really creative at times with noise and just how far you can break a pop song and still have it be catchy On top of all of this, it’s an objective fact that dinosaur Jrs sound was a massive influence on Kurt along with many others at the time
