Tim was standing in a boat and I imagine the boat would start rocking if he wasn't careful, so that's probably why he wasn't moving much. I love this so much. I play this when I'm cleaning house and not only do I move faster, I have fun too. Thanks for this reaction!
I agree, I've mentioned that too. I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on that! Especially in Cape Cod Girls. It's a treat when we get to hear Rob and Austin in lower registers!
Tim is standing really still because he's standing in a boat and if he moved at all, it rocked the boat and messed up the camera. FYI, the boat belongs to Chance, but is being stored at Tim's brother-in-law's place because apparently Home Free shares relatives.
Right? If you live in LA, and you have a boat and nowhere to store it, the place the boat goes is your bandmate’s brother-in-law’s house. Because of course it is.
Yay! Two of my favorite reactors. Y’all are so honest and fun. 😁. Tim was standing in a small boat, which is why he was so still. Santiana was my favorite, Rupp slayed the castanets! Wow! The rhythm section was phenomenal, the percussion was brilliant! 🤭🙌🔥🔥
Without exaggeration, I have watched this at least 100 times with reactors and I don't care what mood I'm in, it's instantly upgraded to pure joy when I hear this. I had to laugh at you dancing and bopping around, because I cannot sit still for this either. I actually tried, and failed many times. It's just too much fun! Loved your reaction!
Tim was standing in a boat that threatened to tip over when he was moving. That's why he wasn't moving very much, LOL. This was the first song I ever heard of theirs, I started hunting down more from them -- and the rest is history. I've been a solid Home Fry ever since!! For months, I listened to this to and from work .... Every ... Single .... Day ... STILL not tired of hearing it, lol Loved seeing your Reactions to this :)
Chance has a Steve Zissou ("The Life Aquatic") shirt at the first. It came too late for the primary shoot, but they had to re-shoot the beat segment and he put it on for that.
A little coaching on your annunciation would help with that rendition, however. Okay, it's your parody of that genre of singing. We get it -- ha ha. Your fiancée is charming.
Tim is the funniest part of their whole video - the deadpan stare is too much 😂 Also, your fiancée is HILARIOUS and y’all are absolutely amazing together! There’s a moment where she is looking at you as you explain something and I swear her face is a mix of “I can’t wait to marry you” and “What are you even doing??” And it’s PRECIOUS!
"Wellerman" is really catchy, and it's easy to see why it became a TikTok sensation. But the cheeriness of the tune is deceptive. "Wellerman" reveals a harsh history of exploitation and cruelty, hiding in plain sight in the lyrics. For example, do you think the sailors awaited "sugar and tea and rum" because they loved candy, caffeine, and booze? NOPE! They didn't get paid in money! Sugar, tea, and rum _was their wage._ How would you like to work for a big company like Enron (which I'm using as an example since they don't exist anymore) and be told "here's your pay!" and handed a truckload of tea bags and sugar sachets? And as hilarious as "tonguing" sounds to us, it describes one of the worst jobs ever invented - stripping the blubber out of a rotting whale carcass. No wonder they wanted to "take our leave and go". Whale oil was a foul-smelling thing, but its usefulness in lamps, candles, soap, food and industrial lubricants outweighed the odor. Whale bone was a sturdy material that could be thinly sliced and was used in brushes, corsets and especially umbrellas, before steel was a thing. In short, there was money in whales. A single southern right whale could net 75 barrels of whale oil, which would be worth about $150,000 in today's money. And that's not even counting the whale bone. That might help explain why the Billy o' Tea spent two weeks looking for a right whale and more than 40 days trying to kill the thing. Having said all that... I absolutely love Home Free. Every one of their songs sends a chill down my spine. I wish I had that kind of vocal talent, but I can barely stay on tune. 😊
You two should do every video together. You guys have such great chemistry. This was the best reaction video I have ever watched. Absolutely loved it and yes I just subscribed
Yes, this is a fun one and soooo good. Tim and Austin went full pirate mode. I think the reason Tim is so stoic is as one Home Fry pointed out he’s standing in a boat and if he moved he’d probably fall over! Ha! Love these songs. I only knew one of them. I never heard of sea shanty’s before. Sea shanty? What? Again, Home Free killed it. Did you hear Adam’s castanets in the last song? How does he do that? So talented. Great reaction!
Chance has always liked sea shanties. I don't know if he talked everyone else into doing this medley or not, but I love it! Chance also sang a sea shanty (Wellerman's Song) with the Hound and the Fox!
Fun fact: the shanty around 4:44 was specifically written by a time traveler in the 1860s to warn a certain actor who played a pirate captain about upcoming worries but he didn't put 2 and 2 together PepeHands
I just can't get over how much Brad looks like a friend of mine who lives in the Chicago area. I think Home Free could do all the songs for Pirates of the Caribbean. Tim could take over the roll as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Never tire of this medley they did! But you guys were absolutely awesome and fun and full of joy and energy and so cool together! Love it and love how you did this for all of us to enjoy!! Take care.
Pro tip: be careful listening to this in the car. You may or may not find that the faster this goes, the heavier your right foot gets. Just sayin'. 🚗.....🚓
Thank you for this. I love this medley. My wife is so tired of me singing these song :D But Home Free just makes it so much fun. Also, thank you for reminding me about Ronnie Milsap. My dad used to listen to him when I was young and I had forgotten.
I have to tell you that I enjoyed seeing you two having loads of fun and dancing as I did seeing the video for the umpteenth time! I always enjoy seeing Emily in your videos and she was loads of fun here, too! Y’all did get a little cardio in there! ☺️
Y'all saying Tim is standing still because he's standing in a boat. I'm pretty sure he's standing still because those notes are tying him to the center of the earth and if he moves too much the earth may not be able to maintain its axis. He's saving the planet.
Keep on falling down the Home Free rabbit hole! Hope to see you guys react to their version of "Man of Constant Sorrow" and definitely, most definitely their cover of "Folsom Prison Blues" if you wanna hear just how low Tim can go
Man i love yalls videos lol, yall dancin along havin fun bein yall selves makes me happy! I need to look for yalls vids where yall sing, aint been to Church in awhile so hearin some music bout Jesus is what i need right now!
I've seen many comments about Tim dressing as Jack Sparrow. That may be, but his actions seem to be a throwback to the animatronics of the old pre-PC Pirates Of the Caribbean Disney rides.
I'm not sure which was more fun--Home Free or the two of you! And I'm glad I'm not the only one that simply cannot sit still when I hear this. Just gotta move with that beat.
I have been a Home Fry sub for a short but and have watched all of your Home Free videos am I missing something or have you not done their Country Fried Pop Medley? If you haven't I'm sure it's on your list. You are one of my favorite reactors you have a sub for life.
