What makes Home Free so good is that individually, each member is an amazing singer, but put them together, it's just magical. I'm not much into reactions, but y'all got me hooked on your channel.
YAY! Emily is back! Tim wrote this song, and it's my favorite on the album. Tim hitting those high notes was absolutely phenomenal. Thank you to both of you, for another amazing reaction. Merry Christmas to you, and yours.
Thanks!! Did you show your lady HF singing Blue Ain't Your Color? Talk about do-wop song!! And even the choreography to go with it! Better be sure she's seen that one!! Love it too. Home Free NEVER fails us do they? Thanks Brad. Take care, Merry Christmas.
Yes Tim wrote / co wrote ( I can’t remember .... I had a sudden “Brain Fart” or whatever y’all wanna call it) this. Love y’all so very much... Merry Christmas & Have a WONDERFUL & hopefully HEALTHY 2021
Glad for such a positive response from you both to the video - I think it's a real gem of a song, co-written by Tim. Thanks to all musicians and reactors who have helped so many of us through this year, great to have such a sense of community via RU-vid. Christmas greetings from Wales.
Love the way Tim & Chance swap around. Tim sings; Chance covers the bass line. Chance sings; Tim covers the bass line. Also like Austin's ad libs toward the end - kinda like he was saying, "Yeah, you can go high, Tim....but I can still go higher!" Great song & excellent video. Love your reactions - both of you! Merry Christmas!
I'm not usually real big on country, in general, but I love the corny sass in this one from Home Free, and, yeah, I knew your fiance would love every bit of this :)
Awesome reaction...you 2 are just so cute together! Tim was really showing his range on this one! The rest of the guys...just fantastic! Now you both need to react to Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem that they did with the Oaks and Jeffrey East! You will be amazed
Hi Brad! Great reaction again! Please checkout ‘Beautiful star of Bethlehem’ Home Free did with the Oak Ridge Boy’s. I know you love Austins voice; you will love this song!
hey Brad and Emily...from what i gathered Tim wrote this song and Austin wrote warmest winter (based on his personal experiences)..the group has so much talent ..not just as singers but writers and composers as well ...most of the arrangements they have are done by themselves..there are always a few occasions where someone else has done the arrangement but about 90% of the time it's their own ..sendin yall some Bama luv
Since they've been doing much more song writing (approximately the last 3 years), Tim and/or Austin will for the most part only open a song that they at least co-wrote. Otherwise, they have been pretty happy to hand the opening leads over to Rob and Chance. Of course, there are notable exceptions like "Everybody Walking This Land". Sometimes, though Austin or Tim's voice just fits better.
I love that bass guitar sound so much!! It’s one of my favorite things about the song! Of course, they’re all amazing!! Brad, you and Emily are so great together!! Loved both of your reactions! Y’all have a safe and very Merry Christmas!!
I hit like before I hear your reaction. Since you have never done one I didn’t like. My faves are with your fiancé! She’s too cool as you are already aware! Have a Merry!! 🎄❤️💚
Love this song too and love y’all! Tim wrote this and decided to show us his 5 octave range and let Chance go low. I heard that Darren Rust, the producer, did those twangy guitar sounds. Pretty cool. I subscribed (don’t know what took me so long). You’re one of my favorite reactors. Keep em coming. The boys did a new song with the Oak Ridge boys. Merry Christmas!
I think that the closest you can get to a country A cappella group besides Home Free is The Oakridge Boys and Alabama. That is as close as I can get from memory, even though both bands were not A cappella.
hmm..going back in my over 40 years of music listening i think you are on to something ...both the Oaks and Alabama use minimal instruments..as for a solo artist i would say George Strait...he can sit by himself with just a guitar and sound just as good as having a full band behind him
Your fiance is going to love Tim Foust's doo-wop album "Pieces of Me" - there's a video of one of the songs "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay". Loved your reactions to this song!
I heard that Darren Rust did the guitar-sounding run near the end of each chorus.I think they should make snow globes with the guys inside for their merch.
To help with the country vibe and twangyness in voice. Tim the bass is originally from Texas, Chance baritone/backup bass is originally from Alabama, Austin the high tenor is originally from Georgia and Rob the low tenor/Whistler and Adam the beatboxer artform Minnesota
That "Ba-na-na-now" is called a whap guitar it's a bassier version of a slide guitar. Tim was doing that effect and the producer Darren added it in post. The impressive thing though is that Tim, Chance, and Adam are capable of doing the "whap" guitar effect. In fact, Adam doing that effect is one of the ways how the group use to get around neither Chris or Adam not being able to hit real Bass notes before Chance joined the group, when Tim was doing solos. I knew you were going to be taken aback by how much Tim was actually leading. However, I wish you would have commented more on the seamless transition between Tim's lead and Chance's lead and even more impressive the transaction from Chance's to Tim's Bass and then just as smoothly going back.
Would love to see both of y'alls reaction, especially hers, to their cover of Cover Me Up. Love her accent, too. She sounds a lot like my wife, just a younger version. 😉😎
So I've been watching your videos for a little while now and just subscribed. Not only do I love both of yalls reaction to this song, something that sticks out to me was Emily saying.she liked older music like 50's doo wop because shes an old soul. So I have a song suggestion for you and its appropriate you don't have to react to it but just something I think you both would enjoy and it's Thomas Rhett Sweetheart. Its a 50-60's style song that I think its worth a listen. Hope you enjoy it
I see most reactors were shocked when watching “Mayday” for the first time. I loved it! The only reason I wasn’t shocked though because this awesome original song was my introduction to higher end of Tim’s range. The vocal range and versatility of everyone in Home is so crazy. I enjoy how they have laid back acoustic style tracks like this and crazy upbeat vibes like “Dive Bar Saints”. Snow Globe and Dive Bar Saints are in constant rotations in my playlists.
If you haven't listened to Tim's Doo Wop album yet, you and Emily should react to that. Only three of the songs have videos, but the others are definitely worth an audio-only reaction.
Great song. Check out "Skyrim" by Lindsey Sterling and Peter Hollens. And also see "Radioactive" cover by Lindsey Sterling and Pentatonix. Last night I discovered a fantastic RU-vid channel Google Translate Sings. They do all kinds of covers. You definitely need to react to some of them.
You have to react to Home Free's new video being released tomorrow (February 12th) featuring Austin Brown. When a Man Loves a Woman. You will be so amazed!
I like to listen to this song especially after a long day at the hospital. Enjoyed your reaction guys. Please react to Noel by Tommee Profitt I hope you guys enjoy it. #BradicalBandwagon4Life #ByeDan
i think Chance covers all the bass lines untill his solo then Tim covers the bass on that part then Chance takes back over ..you do know that Chance was a bass in his prior group right? also Tim has been working Chance to show him how to get some Deeper notes..all in all if you listen you can hear their bass line differences...Tim's bass is a little smoother where as Chances bass is a little more pronounced...i hope that helps
@@redux1012 - You can see Darren in some of their other videos. For example he’s the one at the soundboard at the beginning of Audi Lang Syne and it’s his house they invade in Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer.
Funny Man!!! "Hey Charlie" that's gonna be your nickname now!! Yeah those dudes know how to lay it out for sure...Just when you thought you knew Tim, he goes out and shoots the moon with his never ending talent - but really - isn't every one in that group so UBERLY talented??? About your fiancé - She said "Getting married someday.... SOMEDAY? SOMEDAY??? Dude you'd better go an grab a Preacher Man and seal the deal... you got the main thing working for you - she loves you so don't wait too long OK???? Yeah I know - you gotta work out how to pay for that Hawaii honeymoon right? LOL! I do love your reactions and your music Homeboy - reminds me a little of my Gospel, contemporary musical journeys 40 some odd years ago and so I can relate to much of everything you say. Stay healthy, safe and God bless you and your fiancée this wonderful Christmas season. Thank God for the baby in the manger....who became our Savior...who is the Light of the dark world in which we live... RichieC from Hotlanta
I stumbled upon a fantastic version of Walking in the air by a pretty unknown guy named Jarkko Ahola. Goosebumps was only the first name, listen to it and I promise you'll not regret it
I know Christmas is coming to an end. :( But PLEASE react to their song "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". I KNOW for sure 100% you would LOVE it! It reminds me of something you would love. PLEASE squeeze it in even if it's a little after Christmas. I hope your Christmas is very merry.
The Warmest Winter album has five originals...2 co-written by Austin (Warmest Winter and Cold Hard Cash) and 3 by Tim (Snow Globe, What We Need Is Love, and Christmas Ain’t For The Lonely) The other 7 tracks are covers.
