first of all, doctors availability is too less in india ( around 1: 1800 ) in which psychiatrists numbers are 0.75 per 1 lac ppl. now you can imagine the long-queues of mental health patients in govt hospitals. private psychiatrists fees is too much for a common man as well ( Rs. 2000 onwrds per session + tests and medicines of thousands rupees ). these are d main reasons behind such huge increase.

Actually, monetary issue is hota hai psychology ka ek session 1000 ka hota hai aur agar psychiatric therapy along with medication 3 to 4k hota hai sadly parents aur many individuals can't even afford it.
