The porta power should be a game changer - just don't overload those spreader jaws and break them. They're great cos they fit everywhere but they're not as strong as the ram and I've seen them break or leak.

Hi Chris. Usually them gearboxes have a threaded boss on the other side of circlip in gearbox. If it is there wind a bolt in and it draws the gearbox off 👍🔨

You'd have thought those machines would come with an instruction manual 😂😂. Great job

Unrelated to the video but some advise on jcb injectors if you don’t know already, (we’re a truck and trailer workshop situated on a farm so got our own jcb loadall) if you’re every changing fuel filters always unplug the injectors and crack the pipes off and crank until fuel comes out because otherwise the fuel rail sensor will say no no to the injectors opening up with the trapped air and essentially the injectors lock out requiring to be sent off to be repaired. Stupid design but its best knowing than not knowing instead of spending hours on end thinking it’s just got an air lock and it’ll clear🤠

A few weeks ago i needed a 30 ton puller for a gearbox overhaul .went to a lifting and pulling specialist and he looked at me like i just shxt on the counter ,we dont keep owt like that he says ,what does it says specialist on your sign for then daft bxllock

Would it be worth buying a two piece bearing separator? I got one off Amazon for about thirty quid and I use it all the time on tractors and trailers to pull the inner races off the half shafts. Not sure it would do all the massive bearings you encounter but I’d bet it do a good job on the smaller ones. I used to cut them off with a grinder but I was always worried about nicking the shaft. The puller is faster and doesn’t damage them. Might be worth throwing one in the van.
