Shrewsbury Model Railway Exhibition 2024, British Rail & London Underground Exhibits 

It's June 2024 and i was in Shrewsbury to visit the model railway exhibition held in the now disused St Mary's Church in the town centre. There was a good selection of layouts with O, OO & N Gauge layouts with both passenger and industrial settings. One that appealed to me especially was Oxford Road, a modern NSE layout with London Underground tube trains running on a lower level tunnel section. Another unusual layout was Gants Hill, showing the wartime Plessey Works that were using the built but not fitted out Central Line tunnels. Another different one was Bottom of The Barrel, a layout set up in an old beer barrel showing the Trent Brewery site in Burton-on-Trent. A good O gauge layout seen is Castlebank Sidings, a BR blue era layout set in a fictitious location around Glasgow.
