Do not trust those breakers, better off with a fuse and switch at the rated voltage. Get DC breakers for your solar panels. Thanks for sharing.

I've had a lot of expensive "fun" finding a decent inverter for my stuff. Tried Powerjack (u-power) and they were incredible, but then randomly blew up while under loaded. Then tried a few other cheap ones and had similar results, then bought a DIY board off EBAY. I used it with the big transformer from the powerjack inverter. Rock solid! The voltage sags a bit when you put a big load on it, but it's been going for months running a 9000 btu mini split that pulls 2000W at times. 12v batteries with 220v and 110v output. Starts and runs my air compressor when I ask it to, runs the circular saw, and with this one, there's no weird little flicker every couple seconds in the light bulbs if I'm running them on it.

Thanks for your comment. And half the fun is finding good inverters. Most are cheaply made and claim to be 3000 watt it's 300 if. Or pure sine wave and it's really poor modified. So far the new one I just got is doing good but I also rant and preach about testing and vetting your gear. Nothing like needing it to work and finding out it won't. Thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed.

Have fun with those breakers..... I had the exact same ones and they were useless at anything over 150a for 10mins they would heat up and trip. I only had them for short protection because inverters can do that, but upgraded the BMS to one with short detection.

I hope I have a better experience but with the price I payed I may very well have the same as you did. Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed.

@@LiveFree-pk8ej price and quality don't go hand in hand anymore, you get sellers with sub-sellers at different prices, cost a dollar to make and one will sell for 5 and another one for 50 and anything in-between, this way they snag the bargain hunter and the guy who thinks paying more gets a better product. And it's not only the cheap products it's the big name brands at it too. I once bought some fancy headlights bulbs that were a knock-off of a big brand, exact same product from the same factory, but out the back door at night etc. Big brand where not interested and I thought it odd till it was explained to me that they let them do this to make up for the poor wages as they don't want the increased production costs, so to get a good deal they turn a blind eye provided they don't use the same packaging.

Nice setup! The wiring is almost as messy as mine..lol Greetings from Jamaica.

I am convinced there is no clean way to wire. But I'll keep trying anyway. Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed.

@@LiveFree-pk8ej I don't cut and shorten my wires either, mainly because i'm always upgrading and rearranging the layout. So the excess wire always looks confusing and messy. "Completed systems" can be wired clean, but you and i are not there yet.

That's the same thing I do. Just leave the wire long for future upgrades. Funny thing about hobby solar is your never done. Just a purchase away from the next evaluation of the system. Case in point my second 320ah battery has arrived yesterday and is now all hooked up. I'll do a video showing that and talking about how I messed up getting 4 foot 1/0 cables and not the 6 foot I thought I was getting (didn't read fine print, again).

Very cool, I recently moved into the forest of Atlantic Canada in a travel trailer. I've been fully off grid for 2 months now and my solar system is finally brewing a pot of coffee each morning, and running my fridge 24/7. I decided to run a separate, very cheap solar system for lighting. I have a similar charge controller and I've got a strange problem. My controller makes a soft high pitched ring when there is no power coming from the solar panel, as soon as the controller receives power from the sun the ringing stops. Have you noticed this?

Thanks for your comment. No I've not had that experience. I'm not sure what would cause that to happen. At some point this system will be in a trailer or rv. But for now I have time to build it up and work out all the bugs. Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed.

@@LiveFree-pk8ej My only complaint with the epevers Tracer 3210 is the ringing noise. It's brand new so I don't know if it's typical behavior. My controller is smaller than yours but they are very similar design. Good morning from New Brunswick 👋

@MaritimeUnprepared Weird not sure the issue it has. I have the 2210,4210 and the 100 amp in the video none of them make noise when solar is out for the night. You may want to try another one to see, but who wants to spend money they have already spent.

@@LiveFree-pk8ej I've been talking to customer support about it and they are looking into it. I filmed a RU-vid video and the service person watched it, they are now looking into why it's doing that. I was thinking about trying the BN series of charge controller if this noise is normal. Maybe I've just got sensitive ears? Lol

Those cheap Chinese breakers are junk, they do not trip. Buy Bussman breakers, they are expensive but they do trip at the proper amps.
