Thanks for this! I have an older G-Technology drive and the on/off button is stuck and I can't turn it on. I may take a deep breath and dive in and open it up and see if I can fix that after watching your video. Or.... Since you seem to be so good at this, would you be willing (for payment of course) to repair it?
In general they are very good enterprise grade drives. I've not done any benchmarks on this but the read and write speeds are as good as any other 7200rpm drive I have.
