I do think Mayuri could win most of the time. That fact that Shunsui seems to want to keep Mayuri on his side, while still reminding him that he would be more inclined to let Mayuri do as he likes, compared to someone like Byakuya, does show how well Shunsui is suited for the Head Captain position.
Truth. Even if his so called 'research' is for maintaining of the status quo it's obvious that there are those who won't hesitate to throw him back into the Maggot's Nest especially given his known reputation. Time will tell but there will certainly be more victims of his.
@@manuelacosta9463 Indeed. Kisuke knew how useful Mayuri would be and the Gotei 13 are clearly more interested in how competend someone is, rather than their morality. Besides, as twisted as Mayuri is, he does seem content to be allowed to do his research in peace, rather then seeking power or chaos like Aizen and Tokinada. Which makes him a more appealing case of 'necessary evil', then most of the alternative options that is locked away in the Maggot's Nest or Muken, i'm sure.

And the nobles with their extreme paranoia do possibly act as a deterrent since he already experienced that even if he's gleefully leaped over many lines. And that's the difference between him and Kisuke, Mayuri is open about his motives and what he's willing to do while Kisuke is manipulative and does not talk even if it's to the detriment of whoever he has doing the fighting.

If Mayuri comes in prepared it's a story more in his favor. Though people shouldn't forget that Yamamoto took Kyoraku and Ukitake under his wing so they could surpass him one day. There have been instantes in which Kyoraku had to schedule Mayuri for not taking it too far with his antics.

This might be a mutually destructive battle given both are powerful and have their no selling quirks. Shunsui is Captain Commander who is fierce and lethal yet knows the emotional burden of such a life filled with death. Mayuri is willing to do anything and everything to an opponent and himself to win, morals don't exist for him. If it were to happen it will get ugly very fast. It will either be Shunsui going for the jugular quickly or Mayuri injecting something deadly. Alternatively as you said Mayuri may come out on top due to his many counters and taking everything into account.
Yeah their morals are quite interesting for sure. Shunsui acts as is necessary to win, even sneak attacking his foe. Mayuri sees all as research subjects haha

He's a warrior with blood on his hands yet acknowledges this and allows Nanao to be a ray of light in Soul just as he keeps the blood off hers. With Mayuri you are just another expirement to be disposed of either during or immediately after his research.
Hold up, I really don't like it when people put Mayuri up against characters vs other characters and then proceed to give Mayuri his assistants. The question is who's stronger? Mayuri Kurotsuchi or Kyoraku Shunsui? Nemu and the Arrancar army are different characters of their own. It's Mayuri vs Shunsui not Mayuri and his army vs Shunsui. If we're going by that logic, then we can say since Shunsui is the head captain, then he'd have all Gotei 13 captains at his beck and call during the fight. Just because Mayuri moves around with Nemu doesn't mean he's always with her in every battle scenario. Also Mayuri has a lot of gadgets, but he doesn't carry them around all the time and most of the gadgets he uses are used after he's prepped for the opponent. I thought this was a battle without prep? Mayuri's Bankai doesn't have a perfect counter for everything. I highly doubt it has a counter for certain hax abilities. Pernida wasn't really using hax but rather it's nerve abilities which are physical abilities. How would Mayuri's Bankai negate the effects of Shunsui's Bankai like the sharing of wounds, the spiritual pressure draining ocean? And others? In a straight up battle between Mayuri and Shunsui, Shunsui wins and he does so at the beginning of the fight before it escalates to them having to use Bankai. Mayuri's speed isn't as fast as shunsui at all. The only reason he could keep up with Pernida is because of prep time. He literally used Quincy's hirenkyaku from studying them. Nemu was only able to keep up with Pernida because she was using up her own soul. And Lille Barro is easily much faster than Pernida. I highly doubt Mayuri has information on everyone's Bankai. He didn't even know that Ukitake had Mimihagi. Mayuri has gadgets for several situations, but Shunsui's Shikai turns children's games to reality. We don't even know how many games Shunsui has and how they work. Shunsui's zanpakuto essentially makes him able to manipulate elements that his zanpakuto doesn't naturally possess. Without prep, Mayuri won't keep up with the changing rules and games.
Nemu is literally part of Mayuri's standard equipment. Both characters having access to their respective standard equipment is listed in the Standard battle Assumptions you use for any type of VS Battle
@@ch0getsu Yes, and the Gotei 13 itself is a part of the captain commander's standard equipment. But jokes aside. People really overestimate how powerful nemu is. Nemu was able to keep up with pernida's speed. That doesn't mean much. Mayuri was also able to keep up. The only reason Pernida got faster characters like Zaraki and Yoruichi is because they were caught off guard. In zaraki's case, he's not a very perceptive shinigami. Mayuri wasn't caught off guard. Also, nemu is a character on her own. Mayuri had trouble keeping up with Toshiro in base. What makes you think he'd keep up with Shunsui at the beginning of the fight?
Mayuri knows every bankai and shikai. He spends more time in his lab than at his own place or bed. Highly doubt he even sleeps or relaxes. The way he took out Zaraki was really scary. Its a good thing he has no ambition or greed for power or even love for barbaric acts like Vs. Battles.

Shunsui won't be like any other fighter mayuri has fought because shunsui is a man who uses tricks to wins his battles. Even if mayuri comes to the fight prepared he would still be vulnerable to the cunning head captain.
I agree on some levels but my problem is mayuri shouldn't have anyone to rely on,cos if we factor in the arrancars and nemu then shunsui should also have nanao and other gotei 13 members by his side being the head captain. I also doubt mayuri has seen shunsui's bankai maybe has an idea of his ability since he was a captain before they even meet, take into consideration how shunsui fights he knows mayuri can be egotistical and narcissistic personality could give him an upper hand though I doubt but maybe
You can’t equate Mayuri’s experiments which he uses to fight ‘in character’, to Shunsui having the members of the Gotei 13. Which Gotei 13 members did Shunsui create of give power to? He doesn’t have an idea of Shunsui’s bankai, he knows what it is. There’s literally a scan in the video which proves that.
Ur claims with luppi r heavily inconsistent. He was still struggling against base grimmjow who is nowhere near barragon who is weaker than starrk. Fb shikai ichigo is hard to scale. At first, it seemedclike he got MASSIVELY stronger, but tgen he strughled against quilge who was beaten down by ayon. Then we have this feat. What makes it even weirder is that fb BANKAI ichigo seems to always eclipse his shikai WAY more tgan it should. Ginjo was handling both uryu and ichigo shikai at tge same time, but fullbring bankai ichigo was stronger tgan bankai ginjo. He went from his shikai not even being able to damage quilge to blitzing an even stronger quilge. I put it as an issue with kubos writing, but luppis ceros shouldnt be a factor here.
No, I said his attack power via GR cero (which is confirmed to be at that level). Having higher AP than Barragan is not equal to beating Barragan. Quilge is that strong and FB bankai is just that powerful. There are other bankais that gap their shikai(this is not new, just a heads up) but… Ayon has no anti feats so I fail to see it’s inconsistency too(who has it ever truly lost to, besides Yamamoto?) Why factor Uryu who was weaker than shikai Ichigo (together they didn’t even double Ichigo’s power(if your adding their raw strength) and bankai is 5-10X generally). * Regardless, even if you take Luppi out, Mayuri still wins*
This guy is always undermining Shunsui. The Fact that Yamamoto said that he is transcendent and never said that about Mayuri should speak volumes to the deference in there strength.
@@aizensworld9309 Shunsui has more reatsu, battle Iq, speed feats, strength, banki, shiki and not to mention physically superior. Even though Mayuri has a sensor on his zanpakto he is still physically wear and can still be overpowered and Shunsui has shadow clones, he can control a shadow dimension and shunsui can assainate him from a distance, it's nit like Mayuri is as fast as lilabarro who can teleport and not to mention that shunsui would mostly take out Namau first and I can go all day with supporting points from the anime, managa and light novels.

I think Mayuri wins 9/10 times. Even without prep time, his arsenal and knowledge makes him a formidable foe, and Shunsui is not a reiatsu monster like Kenny, Ichigo or Aizen so he cant physically counter Mayuris arsenal, because the both of them should be relative to each other when it come to reiatsu
They shouldn't be relative in terms of rieatsu. Shunsui doesn't have as much as zaraki aizen or ichigo, but he's a noble, so his rieatsu lvl is a decent margin above mayuris. Mayuri is also implied to be the least combat proficient captain in tybw when he asked toshiro how the the mere idea of mayuri simply being able to clash sword to sword with toshiro is unusual. I think mayuris tricks with no prep time could get him through shunsuis shikai, but shunsuis bankai is too much. Mayuri wins most times with prep tho.
