I hope so lmfao. There should be a group that follows him on the road and goes to every show, like insane diehard fans would...only their mission is to sabotage the concerts.
Now you gave me an idea to go to his concerts to piss this washed up Nu metal Sad boy 🤣, I don't need to worry about the ticket prices because there Cheap as Bud light Beer
@@ATalkingBadger I agree that Trump and his ilk are trash but what's so bad about Making America Great Again? Biden and all of his leftist cronies are no better. We honestly haven't had a good president in decades.
What a stupid fucking argument. If you wanna talk, stay your stupid ass at home. Also you think a full crowd of people talking isn’t louder than an amplified acoustic guitar?
He plays with a full band that's mic'd up, but this is at the end of the set. He goes completely unplugged and sings loud enough for the venue to hear the guitar and vocals raw.
@@JesseBonales so the band is mic'd up and people continue to drink more and talk louder as the night goes on, and then expects complete silence from the drunks. Sounds like he was asking for it lol
I finally saw Staind live last summer with Korn. It was a little underwhelming because he just stood there and walked around during his screaming lines. The lead singer of Korn was recovering from COVID and he moved around more than Aaron Lewis did.
there is more to music than playing as many chords as possible. You're obviously not a musician and just came to have a crack at someone you think you're more talented than. You're not.
@@Tasmanaut This Aaron Carter fellow is obviously a little brat with zero talent! Elvis Presley would woo crowds in Vegas with several chords and good singing! And he didn't have to resort to using the "F" word at his fans. 😁
"YO, AARON! PLAY MUDSHOVEL!!!!!" - 0:08 "AAAAAARON!!!!! PLAY ITS BEEN A WHILE!!!!" - 1:23 "YO, AARON! DO YOU KNOW ANY SLAYER?!!! THIS IS KINDA BORING!" - 2:47
Maybe instead of Aaron yelling at the audience to shut up, maybe he could've played up to the mic where everyone could hear him? He literally walked up to the mic to tell everyone to shut the f up, he could've played up front of the mic where he wouldn't have had to deal with a noisy crowd.
He was probably going for a very specific “pure acoustic” aesthetic (hence not using his mic or amplifier), but lacked the basic people skills needed to achieve what he actually wanted, so he just acted like a prick toward his own fans instead, hoping they’d give him what he wants. He’s like a teacher yelling at children during lunch…
@@kyleriopel Real (professional) musicians have a production company that provides sound & lights so the guy in the back row can hear as well as the guy in the front row. If he wants a campfire atmosphere play the campground circuit. Real musicians don't throw a "2 year old who didn't get the toy at Walmart" fit and walk off stage. Did he refund the money for the "real" fans that paid to get in that weren't being loud, because they didn't get the full show? Didn't think so.
@@erindiazmclaughlin 50 is a big enough number to overcome security and kick his ass. He's lucky I wasn't there, or I would have rallied the crowed with me to teach him a lesson!
This reminds me of grade school when me and my friends would all sit together in the back. Talking shit and joking around the whole time, just driving the teachers crazy. Aaron's mannerism in this is exactly like my teachers... I guess as some point we all turn into our parents.
you nailed it. Except my experience here was when you could tell the teacher was having a bad day and looking for a fight. Would just stop and stare hoping to get the rest of class on board with him/her lol
@@michaelscherer8172 What context. That years ago Leo Fender invented the amplifier so that an acoustic guitar could be heard in a crowd of people that PAID MONEY to enjoy a show? Put your damn in ear monitors in. Stand in front of the mic. Plug your guitar in so the FOH can make it loud enough to hear and play your damn song. Millions of musicians more talented than this ass hat that would LOVE to have people pay good, hard earned money to come to their shows. I'm embarrassed for him and I don't even like him.
@@seventallguitarist You've obviously never poured your heart out while people laughed and didn't pay attention. He wanted an intimate moment, they didn't give him the respect. You are obviously not a musician.
@@Tasmanaut Actually I am a musician and I can tell you IT'S HIS FAULT for losing them. If you lose the crowd it means- you aint shit man. He obviously is washed up by now and plays to 20 somethings who dont know who he is and they shouldnt care anyways. People react to drums and rocking out. He comes into a venue to play acoustic guitar and ofc people are gonna get bored. He is nothing to look at, fat, old, plays some semi country-semi acoustic rock boring music, its not even a great singer and ofc people are gonna lose interest. I mean if he is dumb enough not to understand that acoustic guitar solo gig is a gig that could be done only by few people on the planet in venues without the audience ever skipping a beat -than it is his fault. . Nobody below age 25 wants to listen to his whining and strumming. Next time he should hire a band
If I could some how get into one of his shows without paying, I would go with a bunch of friends to just boo and harass the guy. It'd be better than going to a comedy show.
Hes playing an acoustic set and they probably should have yes given him an electric acoustic guitar. I mean yes people do talk at concerts but those people were obnoxious. I mean even people in the stands have a right to be pissed if someone below couldnt even hear the person playing. There's a huge difference between talking and flat out being obnoxious. After a while all those people did was just heckle
I remember when I went to the Nile in Phoenix around '97. First time I got exposed to Staind before they were famous. They just came out with Tormented and it was the heaviest most chaotic performance I saw at 13. Saw them again at Austin Music Hall in '02. Huge mosh pits, people screaming and fighting..etc Now almost 20 years later and Aaron Lewis has turned into an angry librarian
Bet he called his mom crying after he got back in his trailer. "And...the other people...they wouldnt...be quiet...and they couldnt...hear my guitar!!!"
“I don’t have to do this”? Audience members who paid good money for him to play would strongly disagree. This is no place for a self-centered temper tantrum. _Every_ concert has revelry. Billy Joel used to get upset if his audience was _too quiet._
Right ...sooooo those people who payed money to watch the show why don't they shut the fuck up and wat h the show and let everybody else who payed enjoy it as well!
If he wants to be taken seriously, and actually perform to quieter audiences, he cannot continue talking to audience that way or they'll keep pestering him even more. Also, much smaller acoustic venues would be far more suitable for this style of music, especially when playing without mic. His reputation doesn't help, either.
Both parties are in the wrong here. I went to see him play in Detroit and the audience was the same way, lots of drunk morons hooting and hollering and he had to yell at the audience a few times to be quiet. However, Aaron is a professional musician and in my opinion should have just played and been done with it. He's being a little princess here
Well then Aaron should demand that the venues he plays not sell alcohol. Problem solved. Or they could all just stay home and he would just stop touring. That actually solves the bigger problem. Which is this ass hat doesn't deserve to charge people money to watch him pretend he's more important than he is.
@@seventallguitarist good luck convincing venues to not sell alcohol during his shows. That would never happen unless he negotiated down what percentage of ticket sales he would receive. There are people like me that think he's very talented it would love to hear him play a proper set without a bunch of drunken idiots yelling the entire time but can also acknowledge when he's being a princess. So no, that actually doesn't solve any problem whatsoever
@@FIDEL_CASHFLOW_ I was kidding. Because you're right. It would never happen. He just doesn't need to be such a diva. He's just not that important. Can you ever imagine somebody like Paul McCartney acting like this? Somebody much more important with just as much to say. Aaron thinks he's more special than he is. That's the sad part. I'm not normally one to judge artists abilities or songs. I hate it when people use the word "sucks" to describe something. If it doesn't move you? Don't listen to it. But his arrogance and attitude towards people who paid money to come see him (not in a library or nap room at a preschool). So that makes me start judging his music in a different (negative) manner. I'm pretty indifferent to him. Staind was ok. Never moved my needle much. I could take it or leave it. But I will NEVER give this guy a penny of my money ever again. Won't purchase a song. stream a song. Won't buy a ticket. He deserves none of my money. Which I'm 100% positive he couldn't give 2 shits about.
@@seventallguitarist I believe you're correct about the fact that he couldn't give 2 shits or essentially just doesn't care. If I'm not mistaken he straight up said to the audience that he really doesn't need to be there/doing this for them. Don't quote me. However, to me that sounds like I'm good, I have money. I don't need to grace you with my presence. I don't know, that's just how I took it. Then when he did not get the reaction he wanted he just stormed off. The whole thing just left a really bad taste in my mouth. A bad impression if you will.
@ FIDEL CASHFLOW: People drunk at concerts yelling and shit? Who would have ever thought that? Professional musicians don't talk and act like this douche-nozzle did.
Both sides were wrong, but Aaron was acting like a baby about it. If you're 'that good' then let it roll off your back. But the audience has their time to show their appreciation for the musician, BUT, they can and have taken that too damn far many times were it's no longer appreciation but just plain stupid rudeness to the musician(s). It goes both ways on this one.
Call me crazy. But I see a microphone right behind him. In fact he talked into it at one point. Many, many years ago Leo Fender created the guitar amplifier. He's a touring musician. I can only assume he owns one or can afford to buy one. Don't let this ass hat fool you. This "moment" was created by him, so he could act like a toddler at Wal-Mart who's parents told him to put the toy back. He WANTED to throw a fit and walk off stage.
The part that upset him was this song was his thank you and they wouldnt let him sing it. So I think it hurt his feelings and derailed his mindset. The crowd was rude asf.
I love how he loses his temper and has a giant meltdown over normal concert behavior. This song has one chord and he’s like the whiny kid who’s always like “cmon guys stop it.”
Relax. Aaron. Breath. Inhale. and Slow Exhale. He just needs to play and enjoy his time on stage. You never know when your last performance will be. (RIP Taylor Hawkins) Plus, isnt he the guy with the mic thats connected to a PA? Maybe buy some "in-ears" so you dont hear the crowd so easily? Unless this shit is part of his act, Id be concerned as a booking agent or management. Normal music artists that are happy with their lives dont freak out like this.
Nah Lewis was being a massive fuckin baby. If he can't handle a few hecklers at this point in his career and responds like that, then he's not cut out for the stage. Also there's a perfectly good mic right there if he wants people to hear hin
@@kdawg8147exactly. He used to be so confident and perfectly balanced emotionally. But now he acts all insecure, and the qualities that made him a magnetic person have all diminished. I want the old Aaron Lewis back, this new one is no role model for me!
Can someone please tell me what the name of the song that plays after Aaron storms off? I swear i have heard it somewhere before but i cannot for the life of me remember at all.
This is the most pathetic thing ever. This guys so self-righteous that he can't handle some people cheering and talking while he plays. It's the dream of millions to be a musician, especially ones with big enough fan bases to be able to perform shows and have a large amount of the audience cheer and participate. It's actually disgusting that this guy tells the audience, his supporters to shut up, and then say that they aren't deserving of a thank you. No one goes to a show to sit down and listen to some guy play guitar or sing or rap or whatever. People go to shows to live life and have fun. It's videos like this that make me proud that I listen to the bands that I do because they all love their fans (or at least pretend to) and are charismatic and fun to listen to and watch. This guy telling people to shut up because they aren't listening is the same as a band telling people to stop moshing because they aren't looking. It's just so stupid and genuinely angers me.
It's typically good "manners" to fulfill your contractual obligation and complete a performance, regardless of how quiet the crowd is. This dork has been in a band for 20+ years, he should have been able to handle people talking through an acoustic set. He's just upset he's not selling out basketball arenas anymore.
The problem is that venues have decided to pussy out on raising the fucking volume at rock shows; they lower it so low that all we hear is the crowd. Blame the venue.
I saw him do an acoustic show in 2008 before he became some political wackadoodle country poser catering to his small audience. I still love his old albums though...never a bad song. Can't deny his talent with Staind
you're obviously not a musician. He could play electric guitar and solo if he wished, his acoustic material is about the lyrics and the message. Simple chord arrangements facilitate that.
@@Tasmanaut the message being hey I’m angry about confederate status being taken down despite being a norther from fucking Vermont who’s only real claim to fame was spiteful songs about his dad for 3 albums straight.
The acoustics of this venue sucks ass. The low, metal ceilings back towards the bar amplify the sound and likely direct it back towards the stage. I hate The Criterion
No. Elementary teachers are intelligent, educated and care about their audience. He's the furthest thing from a teacher. He's like a toddler not getting his way. Maybe people will stop giving him money and he can play in silence in his double wide.
@@jessejagmond7806 I'm only replying to tell you that you're what is wrong with this country for blanketing the word "woke" for teachers. My oldest son is a teacher & is the furthest thing from woke.
