Another wonderful tea place is in Walpole, MA Fancy That Tea House is the cutest ever. Tiny individual rooms decorated in Victorian furnishings. The tea, food, desserts were the best! Highly recommend and not that far from Providence.
There are a few places in RI where you can get high tea. Smithfield, Wickford and another one I can't remember where at the moment. Oh Blithwold in Bristol has it also. The one in Wickford was very good and cute place. Also on the Newport cliff walk is the cute tea house which also serves this. Have to book that through the mansion that is affiliated with it. It's either The Breakers or Marble House. Love going to tea and the having the little sandwiches and desserts.
