My second Shuvit session ever. Did some experiments, but was shocked when I edited this video. I noticed that I move my body in a much different way than I thought during the session. Judging from this video, I think I started jumping way too much / too high, for example. I think I need to tone down all my movements in the next session, from the jump to the "scooping" motion with the back foot. I don't know...

Land with just your front foot and keep your back foot in the air. It's a commitment problem. You got it, keep shredding.

Ok, so keep back foot in the air when landing, like I'm "standing on one foot" on the board after landing on it?

Yep that's it. If I was you, I'd practice on the edge of a grass field and shuv from the concrete on to the grass to get your confidence up. Good luck, dude

So I'm a beginner who recently started to land my shuvits and pop shuv consistently. I had major commitment issues, I was too scared to jump and land my back foot on the board, The way I got over it was doing the trick from concrete and landing into grass. It was the only way I got over the fear of landing with that back foot and it worked almost instantly. It's worth a try.

One thing you could try is hanging your back food off the tail more. Imagine you’re curling your toes over the toe-side edge. You’ll get a little more power with your scoop rather than trying to push the flat of the tail. Then the power is just in your foot and leg. No need to twist the hips or shoulders At least, that is how I do it. Try and see if it works

I would not jump forwards but lean forwards. This is not the same. When you jump forwards you will cause the board to jump forwards even more. When you lean forwards, the board will be a bit behind you from the very beginning and stay there more or less. Of course when you lean forwards you will also jump forwards a bit. But automatically, not on purpose. You won't be able to see the board as good when you lean forwards. At the moment you are leaning backwards a bit. Probably because you want to see the board and because you feel save this way, because you already know, that you will not land on the board this way. If you would do it rolling you would carve frontside a bit short before the shuvit because you lean backwards. And when you try the movement without the board, your back leg kicks straight backwards. Try more kicking to the left / in direction to the nose. It has to feel total different than kicking backwards. Although in the end you will not see much of it when you are watching your video trying it. It will look almost like simply kicking backwards.

You have same issue like im. If you just commit every time, you would land 9 of ten for sure. Personally in having head issue to commit, but in other hand im doin nice shuvs lol
