In Sicario: Day of the Soldado, the series begins a new chapter. In the drug war, there are no rules - and as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) calls on the mysterious Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), whose family was murdered by a cartel kingpin, to escalate the war in nefarious ways. Alejandro kidnaps the kingpin’s daughter to inflame the conflict - but when the girl is seen as collateral damage, her fate will come between the two men as they question everything they are fighting for.

@@ray1ashwin HP is short for hitpoints, which is essentially a measurement of your total life/vitality in a lot of video games or in board games like Dungeons & Dragons. While the total amount of HP in a given game or on a given player character can vary drastically, it’s universally considered that having only 1 of the total amount remaining is an adverse state to be in since it means you’re literally one successful attack hitting you from your character’s death.

From experience it usually almost fine for first hour or so if bones are not broken and you avoid touching or moving damaged parts too much. Then it gradually getting worse. And when you think it's not that bad and go to sleep and wake up next day... Yeah, then you start to really feel all pain.

But as the night wore on the pain became worse until I couldn't even sleep, so I drove myself with one hand to the hospital. It was manual transmission, so I did have to shift gears and steer, all with one hand. Good thing it was dead in the night and traffic was super light 😅

@@bruhism173 I took a softball off the face, knocking 5 teeth out. 5 root canals and crowns, plus gum surgery in one week. The adjacent teeth did get abscessed as well. I have broken bones, tore acl and meniscus, but nothing compares to the diabolical misery of a tooth abscess.

Tooth abscesses are the type of pain that will make you consider (seriously consider) ending it all. Had one for about a month straight and there were nights when I could only sleep due to the sheer exhaustion from the pain keeping away for too long.

I like how he started shaking looking at the damage inflicted. Seems so real. I got my arm shredded in an accident, didn't once look at it or think of the pain, until the doctor started operating then the adrenaline wore off and I couldn't stop shaking.

I know that feeling. I didn't hurt my arm but rather almost drowned. I was mostly fine, until I sat down in the ambulance. Then the adrenaline wore off, I started shaking so hard it almost felt like I was having a seizure. Then my teeth started clacking like crazy. And then, for the cherry on top, the chuckle-sobs came on (if you don't know what that is, ask an ambulance crew, they've seen plenty of it). I must have looked and sounded like a lunatic.

I know pain wise it isn't the same....but a long time ago there was a guy in my moms unit that was in war. Got shot in the torso...removed the bullet bandaged himself and fought for 2 more days...showed me the scar and everything there are some beasts disguised as humans in this world indeed

I worked with a guy who looked like he had gone through cancer surgery for smokers where they remove part of your jaw, it wasn’t until working with him for a while that I found out he had actually had his jaw taken off by a sniper during his deployment.

Life will want and you will not do that , I heard about one bitten by a poisonous snake so the rider tied one end to the horse with a rope and forced him to run 3 km . so that the blood does not clot, to the hospital and he survived I had half a phalanx of my finger torn off, so I spent 3 hours on my own in queues until I had an operation

I think a third film might work well with Blunt's character coming back in some capacity. I like how in the original she started out being curious about the mysterious 'Alejandro' and by the end of the movie she was kind of terrified of him, keeping a little distance (physical and emotional) from him. That 'standoffish' relationship never got resolved but really needs to be closed out IMO.

Day of the Soldado didn't do as well. Audiences were disappointed that Emily Blunt wasn't in it. But Blunt's character was a minor character. Telling the story through the eyes of a minor character was part of why the first movie was so powerful. But that character's story is finished. It was always about del Toro's character. Trying to bring Emily back in would mangle the plot and damage the movie. I would not want to see that.

People don't seem to understand that emotional pain and physical pain are relatively close. This man's wife and daughter were killed brutally. I'm sure that pain is comparable to being shot through the face People that I used to know would argue not, but the reality is that they don't know shit I'd say getting shot in the face is probably less net pain than your loved ones being brutally killed for no real reason other than the preservation of evil. This is why people would lose respect for a person who chose to have their family killed over getting shot in the face

The fatal flaw with the 'War on Drugs' is it seeks to disrupt the supply of drugs while doing nothing to stem the demand. That guarantees high prices, criminal/cartel control and violence. Like Brolin's character says in the first movie, "So long as 20% of the population wants to smoke or snort the shit, this is what we have to deal with."

The shaking is real, I got hit in the head with a metal object after some thieves came into the store I worked at after closing time. Bitch threw this pewter bowl right at my eye/eyebrow and it bounced off and I just kept running at her. I didn't even realize the damage she had done until I got to the hospital, at the time of impact it just felt like a *thud* and I was completely blind in my left eye. Then the surgeon said I needed 9-12 stitches. Didn't get to see the wound until a few days later. But after the fight I couldn't stop shaking.

The very small details😉 I like how gentle and careful Del Torro is with the stuntmen ! They are stuntmen. He can grab them and just throw them on the ground, but instead of that he carefully placed them on the ground. That shows the person behind the actor👍
