Excellent vid, and your original music is much better! Your bracing skills are terrific, but high brace position can result in bad shoulder injury--I'd rather be out of the kayak! Thanks for length of vid with many wave formations and how you handled them. I also recommend wearing a helmet in surf, even small surf.
nice sessions ;) if you could manage to get your hands on a river or surf boat though you will have a much better time!! Also a little tip, rather than bracing and waiting for the wave to release you try to build up speed then turn in on the wave to "punch" the nose of your boat through the wave, if you manage this (with enough speed) you and the other half of the boat will follow and you'll be off the wave. ;)
I love to surf on the waves in the Prijon Kodiak. But, although I went along with it on tours for some years now, I've never experienced that kind of wave'n'roll. This is amazing! I envy you so much!

perfect,excellent.., questions to you, i am 49 years old and never made seakayaking so tell me can i play with the waves like you ?? is it possible for old man like me ?? how long does it take to learn such excellent skills ??
I am not much younger than you, and have very little surf kayak experience, but this guy’s boat is not meant for what it does ... if you want to play in the surf at our age it would be better to start with some sit on top kayak ... to learn the basic and see if you like it a few tries on a plastic cheap sit on top is enough, if you then like it and still are not scared on falling off , you can move to a waveski, a white water kayak or a surf kayak ... learn in flat water how to get out when upside down and always be careful, to have fun you don’t need a lot, but safety is key before trying anything
8minutes all in 3ft surf!!! Some big stuff would have made the video really engaging. A lot of sea kayakers seem scared of surf good to see somone enjoying it.
Seitdem meine Frau dieses Video gesehen hat,ist sie mit ihrem Riot Edge (eigentlich als Wanderboot angeschaft) nur noch vor Ort an der Nordseeküste anzutreffen. Blaue Flecken und Schrammen von den Muschelbänken inklusive. Sogar diesen Musiktitel auf dem Player dabei Echt Irre !!!!
Great footage of surf riding, but I have to add that Kayak Type seems well suited to waves of that height, I know mine isnt. I recently capsized on a similar size and experienced my bow ploughing under water - if your kayak does this then dont continue to surf waves of this height !
