@@twinkletoesmcfingerbang9742 I am sure all of the members you deem unnecessary are going to lose copious amounts of sleep because you feel that way. I hope they can recover emotionally. Obviously by BIG, I meant popularity not number of members.
@@decepticonmecha its a role thats almost destined to be looked down on. Crahan would get it too if he wasnt the one behind the image etc. IDK about Chris's creative/writing contributions, but from my knowledge thats the basis behind it. That and Chris being a more agreeable person who could more easily be victimized in that way.
He is absolutely that guy! He played a show in a small town in the UK as DJ Starscream and he came out partying straight afterwards with a group of us that were happy to show him around! He's humble as fuck!
1. Sid was like a kid in a candy store in there. So cool to see! 2. You guys have killer chemistry together. Would definitely watch a Podcast with you two hosting. 3. This has to be the coolest piece of Slipknot content on RU-vid right now.
This is probably the most alive, and energetic I've ever seen sid be in an interview where he isn't playing a character lol it seems like usually in interviews when he's just being himself he's very quiet, and laid back. But here you could tell he was being like. Himself himself. The moment he walked into that room it was like I was watching two besties hang out together. I seriously could not watch without smiling lol. Awesome video guys!
I mean it's a good possibility. I did 10 hits of acid on 1 go and it took my brain about a year to solidly recover. Being in a band I would assume they just popped the shit on a daily out of boredom so yah that could totally be in the realm of possible.
@@crtl5911 depends on you dude. I really like the way it made me feel body wise however don't take it like all the time constantly like everyday or you will start to he on your own little planet with tour own set of laws and rules and things you think arent that big of a deal people that really are will make some people upset and they will think of you as wierd. It's been about 10 years since iv done any so I don't really remember what I found amusing others didnt I'm sorry but you would be better off taking mushrooms. I used to take acid and my brain took a few days to recover. Shrooms I could easily go to work the next day.
@@crtl5911 really the main down side of most hallucinations is Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (HPPD) but it’s super rare, depends on the dose and how long you’ve been taking them but generally relatively safe especially as far as drugs that some musicians would take daily like H or blow..
Being someone who has been hyperfixated on Slipknot since I was about 6 years old, seeing Sid tell a whole bunch of previously unknown information is a dream come true. Excellent video, and what an opportunity! So stoked for you dude
I am calling b.s. on both of you. 9-10 years old sure, my child hood while everyone else was listening to Leif Garret, I was listening to Kiss. My favorite song is Scissors, love the live version.
@@symptomoftheuniverse4149 what on earth does that have to do with what they said. I don't comprehend the logic of you as a kid liking something different than everyone else, but no one else can. You have an insane uniqueness complex
@@goodbadtzmaru7930 Okay, I will explain, at the age of 10, not 6, I too listened to hard stuff. I am calling b.s. on them being 6 and owning and listening to Slipknot.
Sid is so freaking down to earth, humble and adorable as fuck. Genuine guy and doesn't take what he has done and achieved for granted. Some of the other personalities in slipknot don't deserve him. He's too good of a guy. So happy for him. He's prolly a blast to hang with and funny as fuck
@@juser-abuserhe has a kid with Kelly Osborne and I see no mention of him being non binary anywhere on the internet. If he was either of those things I'd stan for it but he isn't lmao
Sid came into my coffee shop in Tacoma, WA and the dude was one of the weirdest but nicest dude ever. Tipped me like $40 because I was chatting with him and his friends because the shop was empty when they came in. Told me his name was Philip on his order but then I called Sid and he came up to the bar and I called him out for it lmao. Cool dude.
Seeing Sid act like a kid in a candy store and “Ooo and Ahh” over these masks is so cool to see. Such an absolutely cool dude! Real chill and laid back and easy to get along with. Seeing him joke around with you and talk about everything is just so awesome and really shows what a great guy he is.
You can definitely see all the memories flooding back to him when he holds and looks at those masks. Just in his eyes and body language the dude is really having some nostalgia
It's pretty cool to see how far this whole thing has come full circle. To have a Slipknot member not only teams up with you to do something so cool, but it's rad to see him being so down to earth.
Damn you got #0 to talk with? That's such an achievement. Sid was/is so instrumental to Slipknot's sound and image. The guy was batshit crazy live. Now he's a bit calmer lol. Cool af.
Sid has always been my favorite member because he's never been the typical sit behind the turntables DJ. He gets crazy and has a larger than life personality while at the same time, retaining his humility despite being in one of the greatest bands of all time.
Its great to have the members of the band walking down memory lane of their masks and their band mates. Sid is truly a genuine dude, musicians need to take pointers from him. If it wasn't for the fans none of their career would mean anything. Great vid Aj!!
I love how much Sid remembers about the older days, and that's why part of why I've always liked Slipknot So much. They don't seem to forget where they came from, the days of practicing in someone's basement after work and going around to random mask shops and doing home repairs on equipment
Sid just bursting out laughing after you said “funny story” had me dying man! So random but so hilarious! It must’ve been so surreal having him stop by!
Slipknots sort of lost me over the years but getting older is giving me a chance to appreciate the full spectrum. All of this backstory is incredible to witness. Thankyou for cataloging all this history on my childhood favourite band!
I was so hoping a video like this would happen. AJ you are doing some incredible things, and it's crazy watching you over the years and seeing how far you have come. The fact Sid was there is just insane! So happy for you, you deserve this.
This would make an amazing series of videos to have each member of slipknot come through the house of masks and tell their stories and seeing their reactions to all their old masks. Even if they all showed up at once for one long video.
House of Trolls podcast. We need it! This was so sick! Seeing Sid so happy and bouncing around looking at all the masks, telling stories. Hope you can get some other members to swing by!
i swear ever sense i found out about slipknot i've always had an eye for sid and i never knew why i always loved his masks and how crazy and energetic he is, i think the reason i loved him is because he reminds me of when i was little i used to be super hyper and chaotic my poor parents could never catch a break because of me lol! i would kill to see him irl he seems like such a sweet, kind and overall loveable person
I was with Sid when he bought the shark in Chicago . He and I went walking around before the Motley Crue show and he got it at a shop by our hotel and Sid was so excited - the shark made it into a magazine like a week later!
This is such a culmination of time and respect for the mask community. The whole channel has become a love letter to mask lovers and the mask community/Family. Thank you AJ for what you do and for the content you make for everyone. We appreciate everything you do and share. It’s so very much deserved to see Sid on the channel and at The House Of Masks. Keep up the good work and the Epic Shit!
This is great! I toured with Slipknot in 2000-2001 and they were all really awesome guys. I tour managed Joey in Murderdolls after that. Sid was always kool to hang out with.
This was hilarious but also amazing to see his mind cycling looking at someone’s life work that chronicles their very own that is contained in a singular room for everyone to see. I’m sure he has a great memory but the very concept that he can visit and see it is so cool.
“The house of visors” 😂😂😂 the amount of wit in that comment and for sid to laugh so hard at that is fucking INSANE! How did we get here!? 😂 love how far you’ve come and how big the channel has grown. Now if only Buckethead can come to The House of Masks 🤔
Man, Sid is so down to earth, it’s really awesome to see. As others have said your chemistry is great and you guys should definitely collab on something in the future.
I'm a gamer who live streams on twitch in a mask 4-8 hours a day (had mine 20+ years) and my brother, your "House Of Masks" is simply jaw dropping. Mad respect!
Man, this is an absolute treat, AJ! 😁 It's so awesome that Sid made an appearance on the HOM (my balls sunk into my pelvis from the absorbtion of this video's sheer awesomeness, haha). I love hearing Sid's stories behind the masks, and how he acquired them (seriously, how did he not get Dean Car's mask? I could've sworn, I saw him wear that same mask in a performance from '99 or 2000. It's been so long ago, so my memory is probably way off), his alter egos: Fuck You, Fuck Me, and Shark-Man, as well as their discreet distribution of samplers at Ozzfest. 😆 As a life-long Slipknot fan -- they were/are my first favourite band, ever since the age of four, when I heard Spit It Out on the Return of the Rock compilation CD, back in 2000. I have at most a dozen copies of their S/T album (including the digipak, cassette, the 10th anniversary release, and a Walmart pressing without the parental advisory on the cover -- it was still unedited, and the Surfacing lyrics weren't removed from the inlay, either. GG, Walmart. 😉); it's just one of those albums that I couldn't pass up the opportunity of owning any time I was at a mall, a big-box store, or a Best Buy. I also wore out my VHS copy of Welcome to our Neighbourhood, haha. The DVD version is really cool! At the end of the video, there's a music video of Scissors accompanied by miscellaneous footage from the era. Is the cassette copy of the first album with Satone an original? That's so cool, I didn't know that copy existed. =-) I wonder how much the sampler cassettes would go for these days. It's so stale that they weren't allowed to freely distribute them at Ozzfest. My 8th grade health teacher still has his sampler tape from when he saw them at Ozzfest; he said that they threw them into the audience after their set. I can only imagine the audience jonesing for those samplers, after they witnessed Slipknot's devastating set, hehe. A TrollCast would be so awesome! Also, sleep paralysis demons be like: 51:19-51:35 😂
Slipknot mask history wise this will be a really significant video. So cool chemistry between you two, well done AJ! It’s been a long journey to get here!
im almost 35 and still feeling like teen with rage and mad respect to slipknot. Sid and other members have great vision and hummor im proud of being maggot after many years! Slipknot for life!
@@TheHouseOfMasks hell yeah dude that's fucking awesome. Let's hope that podcast talk on this video isn't more trolling cause I'd love that. 🤟🏻 Shocked you replied to me. Been following your channel for about a year now and watched just about everything you've made. Love you dude and you help keep things going for me. Much respect. 👊🏻
This is still my favorite HOM video ever. SO stoked to watch Sid going through all of his masks with you, such a milestone for this channel! Hell yes AJ \m/
New fan here from the UK 😊 Fascinating to watch going through the years most will think it's just any mask but there's real art, expression and meaning behind them all.
I would be so HONORED to hang out with Slipknot after the shows, and they would possibly hit on me im pretty damn sure they would’ve and I’d be totally flattered 😆🤘
AJ, it is so awesome to see you having so much fun just chillin and having fun with Sid. What a way to wrap up an amazing year for you. Hope you realize how much your hard work has paid off.
That is an awesome experience. Its crazy to me, back in 2000 I caught my first SlipKnoT concert at OzzFest. I have been hooked since. I was 30 at that time. 52 now (same age). Insane to me they're still out there killin' it. The blood sweat and tears they put into their music and on stage is amazing. So many of us combat veterans relate to the meaning behind so much of their music. I am seriously grateful for SlipKnoT. Got me thru some really dark times in my life. I've been to 9 shows. Last one I was at a couple rows from the stage in Cleveland, OH. Thank you, Sid, for taking the time to do this. Y'all really are the best!
Honestly man you've came so far in the time you've been on RU-vid, the connections and experiences you've had are mind boggling. Here's hoping that Sid helps get the rest of the guys to come by lol
This is one video I can honestly say we all wanted, but I had no idea I needed so bad lol. Such a great piece of content and Slipknot media. I’m SO glad he came to the House of Masks AJ!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
