Disney describes the ride as: Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is inspired by Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts. Follow Mickey and Minnie Mouse on a whimsical adventure filled with unexpected turns. Climb aboard a runaway train-with engineer Goofy in charge. Be on the lookout for some familiar faces from the Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts.

I love this ride in WDW. Definitely one of my favorites. Can't wait to ride it in Disneyland. The ride looks the same, but the cue is very different. I love the new trackless ride system Disney is using.

2:48 One thing I found interesting for the transition from the real world into the cartoon world scene was that after the barn explodes, the screen in Disneyland’s version adds some black cracks to hide the rising opening to the rest of the queue.

The Florida one is more grand and more like a movie opening in Hollywood the one in Calif is more like going to a movie in calif in the 40s and 50s which is different.

Full of tech. From the name of the ride, "Runaway Railway," I thought it would be a faster ride. Thanks to Disneyland Beat for posting. By the way: Somebody on eBay paid over $10,000 for a bottle of water taken from Splash Mountain.........

Disneyland version looks better and there's was animated parody of live-action films in the queue. However, Minnie's voice here was still Russi Taylor, not Kaitlyn Robrock as we expected.

The disneyland layout of the ride is slightly different, the way you enter the sewer drain to toontown is different and the way you exit the ballroom is different too. same ride and scenes but different layout

I rode it the day before grand opening, which is what this video shows, and opening day. On opening day they revealed the concession stand. So retro, so Toontown appropriate, it was so fun, so well put together. The only thing we didn't see was the gift shop at the exit. They had us exit through it with huge red curtains on either side that were hiding the gift stands. They'll probably reveal that when Toontown officially opens in March. Very good start though, can't wait!

@@derekmiles2543 I dont know what you’re talking about, WDW’s Runaway Railway is just a reskinned Great Movie Ride, while the toontown one is heavily themed to the asthetic, and fits it better. Besides, Why do you get so worked up over some kid’s opinion? Immature.

Line at disneyland is so cute. But the ride is 99% the same. Kinda sad there is like, 0 difference in the ride. Regardless, it's one of my favorite rides!!

Actually there’s lots of small and big differences. There is now a black cracking effect that hides the explosion door rising up. The pacing is better, the track switch scene was changed so more people can see it, the cars are also slower so everyone can see the scanes, you now go around the tornado, along with blue lightning, mickey and minies car actually reves up to try and chase the train cars instead of staying still, Mickey and Minnie don’t land in the bush in the jungle scene untill the third car enters the room making it easier to see, ocean is now explained why it drained, daisies scene now is less violent and doesn’t move you from side to side in the car, minie stays for longer in the window of the factory, after the factory there is a scene with goofy, then the final scene is longer so you can actually hear the full song, and the chicken in the barn at the end actually has sound effects now, it’s clear they polished the ride a lot more

Our (Disneyland) queue is a lot brighter and show some really cool memorabilia. Theirs is dull and boring. The colors of ours are more vibrant and show much more detail. Even our entrance is better. Excellent job showing the side by side comparison. Others. Sy do it, but you guys were the first, and I bet, the best. Thank you.
