I own an Apollo Pro definitely could have better performance for the price. I get spotted and asked a lot of questions because of its looks tho. I would like their next version of the pro to go a bit faster.

I have an Apollo Pro and a Nami Burn E2 Mad. My only annoyance with the Apollo pro is the suspension and drum breaks. The Regan break is good at lower speed but the drum break are just not good for a scooter that goes up to 40mph. The rear suspension is so stiff that I feel every bump. The Nami on the other hand is like riding on a cloud.

Thanks for the feedback, never tried the Nami was wondering how good that was. I'm also curious about the new Wolf GT Pro and GTR

I heard there is an update for the GT2 which adds regen brakes and few other new features. What are your thoughts on the improvements (if any)? Thought if it would be good to update to.

apollo pro is a luxury scooter, not a performance scooter. the segway is far heavier and does not fold flat. if better performance is supposed to be a plus over the apollo pro... then again, the pro is meant as luxury not performance. and, if i was to pick performance, then i would pick a different scooter to compare with the segway. better performing scooters would fold better and go faster. so, in both accounts, the segway is a skip.

from watching the apollo videos, the people at apollo were hyping it up to be performance based and were talking about square wave was as good or even better than sine wave, doesn't seem to be the case for performance. At least, that's the vibe I got from watching the videos which is why I bought it. But after owning it now, I do have to agree with you more that it's more of a "luxury" scooter with good performance rather than a performance King.

anything that's capable of going forty miles an hour need Hydraulic breaks. Drum will not cut it and is a huge safety factor.
@AustinF516
@AustinF516 Месяц назад
Incorrect. I've put over 3k mile on my Apollo pro. Never had an issue with confidence in breaking ability. If I was going to nit pick, I'd say that if I'm riding the scooter hard and braking constantly, there is some very minor brake fade after dozens and dozens of high-speed braking events.

Yeah, this guy doesn’t know the good stuff. E brakes are stronger than any types of disk or drum brakes.

Not at all.Set dual regen brakes in setting 10 & it's very powerfull!!! 😮 If you need more emergency braking power than pull the double drum brakes With regens!!! Those are better in rainy conditions,unlike any disk brakes!😂😅😊
@AustinF516
@AustinF516 5 дней назад
@rexluminus9867 100% if you ride aggressive and fast for 30 minutes plus in hotter conditions there is noticeable brake fade. However, when riding at 8/10 or below the regen brakes handle nearly every possible braking situation like a Pro! ( pardon the pun).

Maybe if I were in my teens, 20s to 30s with basically no responsibilities, minimal common sense or I was going to school. Tell me where to send flowers, even my eBike I don't like driving past 30-35 MPH. While I really do like the Apollo Pros LED strips, see you from space lighting, driving a scooter at night is kind of not so smart. The biggest problem with them is rocks and other junk on the road or sidewalks that will eventually catapult you to the ground. On my eBike I've got 26-in by 4-in wheels plus front and rear full suspension. Basically I can drive over a full curb and survive it. In our area the kids use scooters to get back and forth from school. I bought my granddaughter a Segway primarily because I know they're built extremely well. I would have an absolute fit if her mother, my daughter, let her drive at night. My two cents with a scooter is keep it as a class 2 and on the sidewalks. If you're going to be driving on the street even in the bike lane, I would highly recommend purchasing a Garmin Varia on your scooter(s).

I try not to ride at night and I usually ride in places with less cars around but yeah it’s not for everybody.

I'm guessing you have not tried the gt2.. Before I tried the gt2 i would probably agree with a lot of what you said. But The stability on that scooter is ridiculous.
@DJaquithFL

@@igot5onit423 .. I don't have a problem with scooters. I think any scooter that goes over 20 mph with small wheels is a significant accident waiting to happen. Small wheel versus a small pothole or crack is all it takes. Scooters that have much larger wheels are less of an issue.

@@DJaquithFL That's one of the big pluses on this Apollo Pro. It's got 12" wheels. Larger than most scooters.

@rexluminus9867 6 дней назад
@sihTdaeRtnaCuoY Apollo Pro is better & lighter.It's regen brakes set well enough & you rarely use the drum brakes,which are better in the rain!. 12 " tires are also better.😊

it's the same scooter as the apollo phantom(specs wise) except you're paying an extra $1.5k for a better design and some cool lights... not really worth imo well, I still like my pro but one thing is I heard they postponed the seat addon.. my feet hurt when riding scooters so that was a bummer to hear, I might sell it to buy something with a seat option plus let's not forgot how they scammed their indiegogo supporters, it was priced at $3999 but the actual price after the campaign was $3299 because of a fake $700 discount, extremely scummy from them and I am still mad for supporting this campaign... I regret selling my Wolf king GTR
@mcraven747
@mcraven747 Месяц назад
With respect, they did offer the AP for $2,999 on IGG for those that were in the list. I still couldn’t pull the trigger cause they wanted the money up front. But to your point, them dropping the price so quick after release is a head scratcher and I’m not sure if is cause they aren’t selling or outside competition from the likes of the Punk Rider Pro which offer a similar looks at less than half the cost. Probably a combination of both… either way, I’m hearing quality control is lacking as I’m reading complaints on Reddit.

@@mcraven747 I have the Go and the big annoyance with Apollo imo is their msrp is a lie. Their scooters are always on sale. If you're interested in one I'd check every week to see what the current price is. For what it's worth my experience with their customer support was excellent and could not have gone better

Front fork suspension is far superior than C-type suspension plus it looks beautiful too unlike C-type it looks awkward.
