Unless delivery people have been to my residence before, generally delivery companies/people cannot find my address, and no it's not on Google maps, but my house number is clear to see. So because of that I like to call my place the secret location 😂.
I use to live in a place like this and loved it. Maps would get you close but it basically stopped in the middle of a field and said you were there lol. Where I live now is clearly marked and people deliver to the wrong house all the time. I have come home to a full grocery order left (fortunately it was winter and freezing so nothing went bad) I came home to a pizza as well, that was drenched because it was pouring down rain. There has been other stuff left as well.
@@Kelzkitchen how annoying to have to track down the right recipients. I think for me was when I was tracking a package the the post office and they left a card in the mailbox saying they couldn't deliver because driveway was blocked, but I'm unable to drive so the only way the driveway would be blocked would be if I was standing smack bang in the middle of it, they were just too lazy to deliver it. Luckily I had a neighbour take me to the post office so I could get the package, which I really needed because it was a new cellphone.
@@celestialrogue6006 Yes they use that excuse for me. They refuse to deliver packages to my house. If it doesn’t fit in the mailbox, they won’t leave it. It is very frustrating.
@@Kelzkitchen In much of my Walmart Spark, and InstaCart delivery area many deliveries are returned, or delivered to the wrong home, business, or apartment since there are no numbers on homes, apartments, and businesses, no mailboxes, no names on mailboxes, rural mailboxes are far from homes etc When delivery workers try to contact the customers they often don't answer their phones, they don't accept phone calls from unknown numbers, or the phone associated with their account is out of service Customers with difficult to find addresses often don't list special directions The GPS apps will often say I've Arrived when I'm surrounded by fields, forests, lakes, rivers, and mountains, not houses Many customers enter their mailing address, which is incorrect, and not how it's listed i the GPS maps that the apps use, so it won't allow us to complete the delivery without a support call, and often when we have no cellular service The same stubborn customers refuse to update their address to the address use by GPS maps, so they cause service providers, gig workers, and other customers a lot of delays, or money It's often the first customer on a 4 stop 3 delivery order that's the problem, so other customers with perishables have to wait until support allows us to complete the deliver with the incorrect address listed Many other customers enter their delivery instructions, like front door, side door, front porch, side porch, back door, apartment number etc in the address line, not the delivery instructions, or they have misspelled addresses, unnecessary commas, spaces, periods, hyphens etc, so that causes delivery issues as well I tell customers that they have to look up their own address on Google Maps, or Apple Maps, then type their address EXACTLY as it appears, letters, spaces, hyphens and punctuation Still many don't listen.
