I left it up to ya'll and true duals won the voting so in todays video we head down to the exhaust shop and get Cat-back true duals with 5x18" exhaust tips on my 2006 GMC Sierra z71 5.3!!!! Be sure to have notifications on so you won't miss the next poll on the community tab!

Have the exact same truck as you feel years older my mileage is 123,000 exactly remind in 01 Sierra SLE short bed extended cab two-wheel drive unfortunately 5.3 l V8 I have a flowmaster FX Cat-Back dual-exhaust sounds really good got a question for you have you ever experience knock in ping sounds coming from the engine when you get up on it and floor at my truck has been doing this for get off and on a year-and-a-half I used high octane fuel for about a month it seemed to help a little bit but it still does it when I get up on it just curious if you ever heard this coming from yours?

Sounding good! These 5.3s are pretty tame with cats on them. With longtube headers and catless on my previous 04, I couldn't handle the super 10 muffler even. I put a Borla XR1 on it and absolutely loved it. ..Congrats on 100k!! I feel like I've seen your content since 5k!

Yea I had 3 inch pipe and when I tool the cats away it was louder than what I expected 🤣 I was kinda clapping the whole way up and down the road and I got so many complaints I had to put mufflers on it and I still gets complaints

Man I got tired of cat back straights after a month or 2 😂 I don’t see how you haven’t taken the cats out of at least one of your trucks, why don’t you try no cats on 1 of your trucks and if you don’t like it, just put mufflers on it

I’d say it depends on what kinda condition the truck is in as in does it have engine issues,paint issues, anything like that. Regardless the choice is yours man! if the mods your thinking of putting on it would make the truck better then by all means go for it.😉

I would went with smaller exhaust tips, and mirror the stock exhaust set up to other side with a polished tip.

i don't like the sound personally but it's a clean GMC. I have a 2003 Avalanche with 290K Spectre intake flowmaster exhaust and i've been wanting too do a dual exhaust.

I accidentally 😎took my 2020 6.2 trail boss and rebuilt the 7000mile eng. that ran great! And I whippled it, with a set of kooks, and less cats with true dual and a electric open header mods on fly Add 3500 HD transfer case. Only 850BWHP all wheel drive with 6” lift 35x12 Nitto Mud Grappler 24x12-51mm Arkon Roosevelt😎😎😎☠️☠️No traction and NO FKS TO GIVE. 😎😎☠️☠️

I put true duals on my 5.3 Silverado and I didn't realize that I had Cat-Back system with x-pipe on it wow cool😮 and I loved it I guess I and I did select the MagnaFlow performance mufflers❤❤ gained about eight horsepower❤

Have an 07 f150 with the 5.4, same exhaust setup and sounds just like this. Wish it was as loud as Larry or terry is! Might have to get high flows

I always go 40 series flowmaster 2 chamber No muffler kind of just sounds clappy when you have a good quality muffler it sounds amazing It's they tune the mufflers to sound a certain way You know that race car sound not just oh I have a '94 Astro van open header sound

That 5.3 turned out more like how my Ford 5.4 sounded when I had it true dualed. It's not super loud at idle or at lower rpm, but at higher rpm or cold starts, it's pretty loud.

I have a true dual cat back exhaust setup on my 5.3 Silverado and man I love it. It’s exactly how a truck should sounds. Not too loud not too quite just like you said and likes to get rowdy Lmaoo. Was wondering if a cam upgrade would ruin my love of the sound tho

I have a 05 I recently bought and I got it true dualed after the cats and I’m very disappointed to say the least it sounds very quiet compared to yours. My last truck was true duals no cats which was stupid loud so I was thinking leave the cats in it would keep it quieter than my old truck but still sound good and have a nice clap to it but it doesn’t clap at all and sounds likes it had a aftermarket muffler on it

My 2001 explorer with the 5.0 is a prime example of needing a muffler 🤣 it still has the first set of cats but second set is deleted with an off-road x no muffler and dumped out the side

My friend has an 01 extended cab 5.3 gmc and it sounds the exact same. I have an 07 new body 5.3 with true duals and for whatever reason I don’t have that same nice tone.

No you're right It's nice being quiet because like when you want to go to pass somebody they don't know that you're trying to pass them so they don't get a chance to floor it You know what I mean It's easy to get the jump when you're quiet
