Listening to their stories is heartbreaking, I was born in Sierra Leone. I left in 1993 right before the war hit Freetown. I am very angry that these young people never got the support they deserve to heal after the war.

77% & John Caulker, thank you. Graceland Sierra Leone (a Psychosocial Care Delivery Organization), still bumps into some Survivors of this War that still don't know, what really happened. The 11year War is over but the Trauma still lingers. People are still broken with deep wounds inside 💔. I connect with you all Ibrahim and you all. Inclusiveness at every level is necessary to share lessons of the war.

To Edith the Facilitator - Great job. Your interviewing is flawless and flowing - even as you yoyo from one person to another. You also held down the emotional rollercoaster that may have been bubbling inside of you. Keep it up 🙏🏻

What a beautiful debate Edith, thx for being there and talking to our people... As a Sierra Leonean residing in Germany over the past decade I was also a victim of Child soldier... Since living in Germany I have done a lots of Therapies but to be honest with you whenever movie like "Blood Diamond " showed on German Tv's makes me reflect back to the worse time of my life..

May God bless the presenter, representing DWAfrica... They all spoke well, but three stood out. The youngest, the eldest and fantasy. S/Leone has a unique problem. A country predominantly engulfed by a youthful population who are not engaged in something worthwhile. These youths of today were the kids/teens of the 11yrs bloody civil war whose formative years were taken from them by the war. They're left angry and traumatised by the system today. They are wounded lions and can get angry very easily, even at the smallest things. So as a nation, if the elements/factors that were the causes of the war are still presenting themselves today by sierra Leoneans, then it means we didn't learn anything from the war.

It's really hard to forget about everything that happened. We should be able to talk about everything that happen during the war. That is the main reason some of us the young generation give a damn about war because we don't know the negative results

Center for Memory and Reparations is an organisation in Sierra Leone that is Facilitating remembrance and collective narratives around the Sierra Leonean civil war using the TRC to map and construct mass graves across the country and also sensitize school going children in these communities, play war documentary and advice them not to take part in violence activities. Kudos to them👏🏾👏🏾

Can Fantacee not create a space for them to speak with other people who experience the same thing within their age bracket. Small groups of talking/sharing therapy. Masking things doesn't help, personally. Watching the world go mad in front of my eyes and trying to wake people out of 50shadesofgray fightingtalk drugs sexualisation is a madness in itself. I speak with my family member who went through this war. She is the epitomy of strength to me and I to she for other reasons. Good panel. Peace and Blissings. I shall reach home soon!
