The Sifely Smart Lock is an affordable smart door knob for most any door. I installed the Sifely Smart Lock on my RU-vid studio's door. I can open my RU-vid studio using Alexa voice commands, biometrics (fingerprint), keypad, IC card, Sifely App or physical key. Beyond the convenience of having multiple ways to unlock the door, it also retains an audit trail. It's nice to know when the door is unlocked and by whom. Installing this smart lock was super simple and I plan to install some on other doors too! #Sifely #SmartLock #SmartHome

Sifely has another almost identical smart lock that doesn't require you to remove the handle to use the physical key. You take a plastic piece off concealing the keylock. The only reason to have the physical key is in case the electronics fail or the batteries die. I made sure to get a the Sifely lock that has a physical key without having to remove the handle with the tool they provide.

It works great! My only issue has been trying to use the biometric fingerprint reader with wet hands. That is not a product flaw though.

Can you set it so it won't lock every time? For example,.if you are doing yard work.

Mine locks after 5 seconds but if you turn “Auto Lock” off it’ll likely prevent it from automatically locking. BTW I always keep my door locker when doing yard work because a noisy lawnmower makes it easy for criminals to sneak in. Just some food for thought!

Is there a button or easy way to lock the door from the inside? If you don't use the auto lock feature. Like a button or something? It's so easy to unlock it from the outside, but what do you do if you just want to lock it from the inside?

Great question! I’ve always just let mine lock when I close the door (it locks people from coming in but will let me exit without having to unlock). I’ll check to see if there is a way to do that. If there is, I’ll post a video response, so please subscribe and stay tuned!

And in a related question, is there a status light from the inside that you can easily tell if the door is locked or unlocked? How can you tell from the inside without pulling out your phone or something.

The other model allows you to just remove a little cover from the handle to introduce the physical key... 🤔 This one seems impractical.

I never intend to use the physical key though, so it just looks better =). That's definitely a matter of personal preference.

3:00 no,no,no. Just press on thr little piece where the key goes in and it will pop out exposing the keyhole. No need to remove the handle.

I will have 5 separate rooms in a rooming house. Can I control each lock from my app if Im not physically there? Assuming I need the gate way

You’ll need to have WiFi signal and a Sifely gateway a few feet from each door. Check the link within this video’s description to find the locks and gateways.

I have 1 for the front door, also the deadbolt, and my home office, and bedroom. On these two got them unlocked till I leave to the store. And yes you can control all of the locks with your app also your family can open all the doors by remotely if they live some other part of the country for that you need the gateway router for it. With the app you can copy all code’s to be used on all of your locks. If you don’t want to give access to everyone in your family you can remove them from that lock with the app. I love these smart locks I got them refurbish for a cheap price on Amazon!

Did you check “Settings” within Sifely App to see if that turns it off for your lock?

I have one of these work just fine but if I slightly raise the handle up whatsoever it won’t unlock Now this isn’t usually a problem since you just open the door by pulling the handle down but everything now and then somehow it just happens shit sucks
