The Siang Indigenous Farmers Forum (SIFF), Dibang Resistance (DR), and North East Human Rights (NEHR) have demanded the immediate release of anti-dam activist Advocate Ebo Mili by 6 PM today. The organizations have warned that they will initiate their course of action if the government fails to comply.
Ebo Mili, along with three companions, was detained by the Capital Police. The activists were preparing to give a press briefing to the media regarding the dam issue and the visit of Union Ministers ML Khattar (Power and Housing and Urban Affairs) and Piyush Goyal (Commerce and Industry) to the state.
The detainment has sparked concern and unrest among the supporting organizations, who are calling for swift action to ensure the activists' release.
