Your trigger break is so unique. It works for you so for sure you do you. But I’ve never seen anybody who can make as accurate shots as you do letting the trigger reset and immediately making a shot afterword the way you do. ClickShot. ClickShot. ClickShot. Like I said, you do you, but that’s so unique it’s crazy.

Thanks for posting. New to handguns. Learned shooting with rifles. With my teacher watching, I compared the Sig M17, CZ 75, and an H&K after completion of a pistol course. My CZ shot group was the worst, H&K second best, Sig was best/tightest. Teacher thinks the Sig’s trigger feels natural, close to a rifle’s. Sig M17’s really nice, though really concerned about its drop safe history. Most friends are suggesting a Glock- shot 50 rounds through it the other day. Better shot groups with Glock vs the S&W MP 9, though still not as smooth as the Sig. Will try the H&K again soon- it’s much pricier, a beautiful hand gun.

I just picked mine up yesterday. Already put it in the Wilson combat grip module in black. The FDE one is sold out and since it’s already 2 tone like you say lol I just got the black. I didn’t realize how sexy it would turn out and how much more slimmer and comfortable the Wilson grip is compared to the stock. I’ll keep the stock grip of course but I’m in love with the Wilson grip. Edit: took it out and put 100 rounds through it. FMJ, hollow points, and not a single failure. I will say that it does scratch easily. I can confirm that, but I still love it absolutely love it so far.

@PermacultureAppalachia 4 года назад
I'm _mostly_ kidding, but honestly I fired thousands of rounds through beat-up Berettas and never experienced a single malfunction. In all my time with them on the range I _never_ saw anyone else experience a malfunction with one either. Like I said, these were old service pistols that had seen use in Desert Storm, Kosovo, OIF1 and OIF2 by the time I got out. Literally the _only_ problem I ever had with the M9 were accidental magazine drops (happened to me twice during OIF1) when crawling on my belly. The only holsters we had were the WW2 model leather cross-draw rigs designed for the Colt 1911; when you had to crawl, sometimes these old holsters would engage the mag-release. That issue was the Army's fault, not the weapon's. M9 was an outstanding service pistol.

First 50 rounds or so I had three stove pipes, a couple random lock opens before mags were empty, etc. I then went home, did not clean the pistol but oiled the crap out of it, ran the slide/dry fired it for a couple hours and left all three mags loaded over night. Went back out next day had zero issues and haven't had any issues since. Coming up on 2,800 rounds. I got mine for $545 plus tax (shop got way too many in from distributor). I will note my x-carry didn't have any issues.

I really like that platform. I never really enjoyed shooting handguns until I got my hands around a M17. FYI I have the same feed problem with the m17, but not to the extent that I the m18 was exhibiting. The slide will not go all the way forward. This happens not very often and only when racking the first round from a fresh , full magazine. It will still fire. This has not happened, that I’ve noticed, during live fire. Yes I’ve cleaned it many times. I’m ocd with my hardware. I’m only about 500 rounds into the thing and maybe it will go away as it wears in. Just an awesome platform. I’ve never shot any other dull sized semi auto pistol so i have nothing to compare it to, but I know I very much enjoy it. I think I’ll get an M18 next. That is if I can get my hands on one. Aside from shooting it, the takedown is as simple is it can be. Takes me around 30 seconds to tear it down and 45 seconds to reassemble. I can’t say enough good things about it. The range employees recommend adding some weight to it with a heavier lower but I’m going to keep it as is for now. One thing, I’m confused about the optics. I read somewhere that it would only accept the Romeo 5 and not the Romeo 1. Is this true? Keep up the good work Eric, Chad and all others. I love watching your videos.

I am not sure what kind of accuracy you mean, realistically every single pistol in 9mm Luger i tried that came from a reputable company (not made in a garage in Florida) was able to produce a fantastic group out of the ransom rest. The mechanical accuracy of a modern production pistol will be better than 95% of shooters will be able to deliver standing without support using both hands on their best day, always capable of being inside the 9 ring of a ISSF target at 25m with 20 shots and regular factory FMJ ammo. The only thing that will help you as a shooter is a good breaking trigger and long sight radius.

@Chris Tidwell I can agree with a Glock as a good choice. Very proven and reliable. I'd just take the Beretta M9A3 over the SIG M18 or M17 because of the track record. After a few years and some possible revisions, they will most likely work out the kinks.

Maybe the extra weight of the long mags were causing an inertia issue? Watching back in 1/2 and 1/4 speed with stock vs long mags, I see just a teeny bit more movement and the side view showed slight magazine shake during cycle. Incidentally, you sound really drunk at half speed. lol

@Pyreleaf
@Pyreleaf 4 года назад
Slick that's the thing, though - it's *not* a bad gun. I've watched a ton of reviews, very nearly everyone seems extremely satisfied with their purchase. If not for the persistent safety issues, I'd want one myself. That is, I *do* want one myself, I just don't want it to go off on me for no reason.
@Pyreleaf
@Pyreleaf 3 года назад
Frank Bonazza III maybe not anymore. I've been keeping an ear to the ground - SIG claims the safety issues have all been resolved, which sure, be skeptical, but I haven't heard about any additional incidents since...July, I think? Plus, I doubt they'd be going ahead with the FCU custom works program if there were still unresolved issues. Seems like it would be pretty stupid to step up production on a gun that people are too scared to buy, is what I'm getting at.
