Love to hear your take on the latest law suit and claim of P320's going off in holsters without any drop forces being applied. Read today that perhaps it's cops using ill-fitting P250 duty holsters which can make contact with trigger upon reholstering. Otherwise, I can't see how the gun would discharge without some sort of pull on the trigger give the upgrades made to the gun by Sig. Good vid BTW!
I actually wasn't aware of that latest lawsuit. I'm not one to jump to conclusions, so I'll wait to see what the whole story and data says. I think it's plausible it could happen, since there have been other failures on this platform, but we'll see. I'm not really worried about something interfering with the trigger of mine with the Safariland holster I used with it. Thankfully the Safariland has enough stand off from my body that if something did unfortunately cause the pistol to go off, it wouldn't go into my leg, haha.
Same here!!! I just replaced the spring which cut down half the ftes. I plan on getting the parts from Sig next week to see what happens. Once I fix this, it's going to be sold.
So I got all my parts today. Upon inspection, comparing the extracor. My old one was broke at the tip. I'll try it out at the range tomorrow. Also, the pin was a little different than the original. Seems like it's designed to put more pressure on the extractor.
@@FaRKle0079 Yes, the very edge of the extractor was broken. I updated the pin, spring, extractor, and extractor pin. I then traded it off for an Arex Zero 1 cp.
I just ordered a new extractor claw today. I’m confused how a gun that cost nearly 700$ and is one day old can have this problem. But I’m determined to fix it
Thank you so much for posting this video! I haven't used my P320 Compact in over a year. I joined a new range and only brought this handgun with me. Basically every shot resulted in a failure to eject! It was so frustrating, embarrassing and disheartening. With the help of one of the senior range instructors, we determined it was an ejector problem. Your video, explained everything perfect! I will order these parts. One question though: for the love of God I cannot get my back plate off. I know it can be difficult but I tried everything. I noticed you still had the barrel and spring in the gun when you did it. Maybe I had these out when trying. Could this be my problem? I will try again tonight with those in the slide. Thank you again!
Barrel and recoil spring in/out of the slide doesn't matter for getting the end plate off. After depressing the detent maybe you have some buildup between the plate and the slide that's binding them together? You can try some penetrating oil if that's the case.
Hi there i have the sig p320 with the Romeo sig site on it. I was shooting it last week when it did not extract the case thought it was the ammunition but the extractor was broke. This is the second one i sent it to sig the first time and this time I decided to do it myself. I received the parts today i bought all the parts. So when i took it apart the spring and two pins were the updated ones. So im putting in the new ones anyway
FaRKle0079 i cant be sure about that. The one I received today was not the one you have. However i did do one thing different in Assembly i used a very little gun slick on it for lube. Ill shoot it tomorrow.
all P320 striker is the same ??? I'm thinking of buying a full-size slide I want to know if the striker and the extractor case of a compact internally works on a full-size slid
Hi Mate, I have the exact same problem with my P32O. I just can't get the parts in Australia and online as they do not want to deal with Australia. Can you please provide me with the companies you dealt with to get these parts. They are just what I need to fix the issue. Cheers MickO
I purchased my parts from Midwest Gun Works (www.midwestgunworks.com). I think parts like these are probably under US export control which is why so few dealers are willing to help you out. Too bad they can't just be added onto that nuclear sub deal, haha.
I noticed how the fixed gun has weaker ejection than the shooter next to you. I also notice the same with my XCompact. Is there a way to improve the ejection without adversely affecting the gun or its performance?
I don't think this would fix a failure to feed since the extractor doesn't play a part for that. I'd check to see if your slide is short stroking, magazine spring is weak, or if the round is getting caught up on its way into the chamber.
@@FaRKle0079 idk what it is. I called Sig today they told me to clean it (I did twice) then see if the problem continues? Then I’d send it to them to check if everything is doing like it should....Just the round wouldn’t go in the chamber like it would get caught up?! Hard to explain just have to fire it more I guess? Gun is broken in 3-4 hundred rounds or more? It’s frustrating because it’s my everyday carry and if it jams like that in a situation where it’s life or death I’m dead!
I have an extractor and spring on order. I'm having weak ejection pattern on my M17 surplus. The cases just ejects like 3" vertical and lands on my arms and head.
