I absolutely adore my AXG Legion. Never had an x macro but loved the way it felt I have just never enjoyed polymer framed handguns, BOOM, the Legion comes out and the dream gun was born.
I own all three variants of the Sig Sauer P365 X-MACRO. All the holsters that I have work with all of them. You will hear people in here saying otherwise. They all work.
How do the three compare? I have the regular x macro (without the comp) and I tested it today against the AXG legion and I shot SIGNIFICANTLY better with the axg legion. It was less snappy, I was able to to require faster, and my groupings were much together and way more accurate and on point. What I want to know is, is the axg legion worth the $1200? I got the regular x macro at the time instead of the one with the comp because money was tight and the guy I talked to said that the comp didn’t make much of a difference, not a $150 difference at least. Do I need to spend the $1200 for the legion, or will I get as good of performance out of the x macro comp
I have shot so many handguns and walked into my local range wanting to buy my first one as a gift to myself. Dude told me about the x macro and the Legion so I rented an x macro, put 100 rounds through it, then walked out the same day with a Legion lol. Definitely on the pricer side but I want something that feels great, operates exceptionally, and that will last me for a long time!
I have a P365 XMacto but shot the AXG Legion today & I’m gonna need to live off tuna & ramen noodles & get the AXG. I have large hands but the trigger is better.
After having a regular p365x macro and getting the p365 axg legion, I realized how much I really appreciate the weight and feel of the axg legion. On top of how good it feels in your hand. Its sexy too
Didn’t see anyone say it yet but FWIW, that’s an XMACRO COMP, hence the comp, and has a 3.1” barrel. There is the standard XMACRO with a 3.7” barrel and no comp. XMACRO TACOPS is that plus the extended controls and flared magwell similar to the legion. Think the option that is missing is a Legion with the longer barrel and no comp.
I thought that too but…. I shot the legion frame with the legion slide/compensator and the xl slide, muzzle rise is so much better with the comp, I’ll sacrifice the 50 fps ( by chrono), follow up shots are much quicker.
Metal grip module options: Icarus Precision, Mischief Machine, Sharps Bro's, and Shalotec. The most modular option is Shalotec with the ability to remove grip panels and change from 17 round capacity to 12 round capacity and even down to 10 round capacity. Icarus and Sharps both have ambidextrous gas pedals which can make holster compatibility different from a standard setup, however Sharps features options on their website for both. Mischief is very 1911 style and similar to the Legion model. Sharps is like a cross between Mischief and Icarus.
@@9MilRidgethanks brother, I currently have the FDEZ Fuse slide and barrel on a Sharps Bro's X Macro and I'm building a Spectre Comp with my previous setup on a Strike Industries grip module. 😂😂😂 The most affordable metal grip option is Sharps. The aftermarket for the P365 is almost endless and phenomenal!
As you said, if you already have the Macro its hardly worth the upgrade. But dang that thing is cool. Legion finish is cerakoted 👎 vs harder, more durable nitron on the macro 👍
Here me out. For this price, grab an Icarus/mischief/shalotek/sharp bros grip module. Either the macro of some of the companies besides sharp bros make an xxl which extends the dust cover on an xl frame so you can do an integrated comp with the pmm and have it be flush. Macro frame will do the same just need a standard 365 slide for both. Grab a fire control unit and it’d come out around 12 or 1300. Same price but shoot flatter
I wish Sharps had an XXL frame... Shalotec and Icarus both have those options though. Still considering the Shalotec XXL for my FDEZ Fuse build even though I put it on a Sharps Bro's with blue/black VZ Slant grips.
Nice review! I'm one of those weirdos who has 10ish P365s in various configurations. Haven't messed with the Macro as it is just too long in the grip for me to comfortably conceal. Another fabulous metal frame for the P365 platform is Mischief Machine. Check them out!
Mischief machines grip modules add a different and even a 1911 commanderish option which works well along with the other brands that make aluminum grip modules
Ill probably get a Shalotek grip module for the X-Macro instead - unless Sig shocks everyone and releases the 365 AXG grip module. Unlikely. The Shalotek is $400-ish aluminum grip module that allows individual replacement of front dust cover, trigger guard and several other sections to modify it after purchase if needed, which is intriguing considering the new XXL 4"+ threaded barrels they offer.
I bought the 365 spectre comp in coyote instead of the axg legion 365. I wanted a small carry pistol and the spectre comp is very well for concealing it and super light.
Could have bought the axg legion and just purchased a smaller grip module for relatively cheap. One for more higher capacity and better shooting experience. While the other is for deep conceal.
In my opinion, the Glock 48 mos is THE best 4inch carry. Glock 19 slide and barrel length Glock 19 grip length Slim frame and lightweight Doesn’t break the bank at all and Uber reliable. Hundreds of upgrades available as well.
@@SnD340like comparing a Honda Accord to a Mercedes Benz lol. Yea the Honda is a great good car,but the best ride and performance not in the same league neither is any Glock to any Sig Legion.
@@saihemebillings2820lol…don’t hurt yourself while you fanboy. Sig is MARGINALLY better, but it isn’t even CLOSE to being the Mercedes Benz in your analogy.
I aiwb my xmacro and I'm a smaller guy and I don't print. I carry it in my tier 1 concealed axis elite holster with a sidecar. Having the right holsters makes the difference
A little late to the party, but did you feel any difference in recoil between the X Macro Comp vs AXG? I'm going to get one of the two and recoil mitigation from the design is a high priority for me. Thanks!
Enjoy your coin and Legion status! 😂😂😂 I decided to build them build some more. Would've had 7 configuration options if my house didn't burn down, but I'm back to 5. Getting a new FCU soon!
you compare the recoil force between these two pistols when there is a red dot on the x macro and there is none on the legion. when i bought the x macro i did not feel any recoil at all, but after i installed the red dot there was recoil and the pistol began to jump up a lot. so it seems to me that for a more accurate and fair test you either need to remove the red dot from the x macro or install the same one on the legion
I recently purchased the SIG p365 AXG legion and so far the slide isn’t smooth and almost feels like it’s catching on something and the coating after less than 100 rounds is already chipping away, and I was wondering if you had the same problem?
@@9MilRidge for the price it shouldn’t have any of the problems I’m experiencing so unfortunately this will be The last SIG product I will ever spend money on because so far customer support has been useless and shows zero interest in finding a solution to the problem
Never have ever, I've had the original 365 since it came out years ago and it still looks the same as when I bought it. It was my edc for years. Honestly besides people on the Internet saying that can happen , I don't know anyone that has that problem.
Yup. My Xmacro is less than a year old. Rusting at the rear sight (OEM), little at the front of slide and on the magazine surfaces. I’m on a Sig 365 forum and quite a few P365 series owners have the same issues with rust. I’ve notice that maybe SIG’S QC has gone down a little.
I keep running into that issue with the P365 mags, it only happens on the part that is exposed to sweat, Sig says to put rem oil on your mags to prevent this. Your best option to avoid this is to just use a polymer gun with polymer mags like Glock
I enjoy shooting the 365 axg quite a bit more than a lot of my other guns. Even guns twice the price. It’s taken the roll of edc for me. You mentioned the magwell being easy to remove. Have you actually tried it? I can’t get mine off lol.
dude said does it like to shoot fast fires of 8-9 rounds hit the target twice. look at the camera "yeah it like to go fast" ahahahaahhahahahahhahhaha love that
Basically the equivalent of buying a heavy, high capacity, Kimber crapper. If I’m gonna conceal that kind of weight it’s gonna be a far superior full sized 75b. Original XMacro with comp is more than enough. Laughable all metal compact (oxymoron) gimmick to squeeze a few extra bucks.
