I actually prefer the X over the XL. I had both and that slide was just annoying in appendix carry for me. They shoot about the same. Hogue grip makes it flat as the XL IMO.
I have the XMacro which is the XL slide and I just started using it for an EDC in my rotation. I was really surprised that I don’t notice the extra barrel length when I appendix carry.
I’m very surprised you said that however that is the actual good reason to go with the x over the xl. Imo it is the only logical reason to the the x over the xl. What holster are you using/ are you a small frame person?
@@orangetactical same here axis elite but with xl. Had to sand off the beaver tail much more comfortable banding over or sitting. Also I was surprised how much the extra half inch of holster was so much more uncomfortable on the thigh as opposed to the axis slim for the p365 standard. No fault of the holster just made more difference then I would’ve thought. I ended up buying these mastermind tactics pillows and it has completely solved the pain point. Found them much more comfortable than the wedge. Edit: for clarification, the xl elite was more uncomfortable compared to the slim because the slide is over a half inch longer. The elite is slightly better than the slim you should buy the elite if you are between both
