JD, You mention in this video how treacherous this very rocky stream is. We have a number of streams here in the Pacific Northwest that have the same kind of bottom. Most stream waders here use a wading staff to walk streams. I know from watching your videos that you have fallen in the streams so this might be a help. The wading staff I use folds down to a reasonable size and has helped me to avoid falling in the rock covered streams I wade. While folded I carry it on my wading belt and it is easy to access when needed. Try it out sometime. By the way, I have been watching your videos for the last 5 years and have always enjoyed your adventures. I hope you will continue to explore and help us all with lures and equipment.
man those were some really healthy small mouth.. They must have been loading up on crawl dads and eating well for sure. Another good fishing trip, thanks for taking us along for the ride. God Bless and GO KATS!!!!
Please do a video on trout fishing below Beaver Dam in NW Arkansas. That's a great area for fishing. In the lake, there are stripers, large mouths, small mouths, white bass and tons of panfish. Below the dam, the White River is perfect for trout.
That is so cool you can get smallies in a brook like that. I have done fishing like your doing for my life and have never seen smallies in that kind of water that's so cool.
Those rocks can shred line. Some nice good size Smallys caught. That is some really super clear water. Nice catch from the ditch. Scorpion wants no fight with a hellgrammite.
Don't touch those creatures !!!! Nice video. Love those smallies, and they love that hellegramite ! Thanks John for taking us along with you and Bill. Interesting how you can make friends when you pick up a fishing rod ! LOL ! Quality fish !
John, firstly a big congrats on 100K. Very deserving. Second, just a comment to say how blessed you are to have those types of streams close to your home. We're here outside Atlanta and, while there is good pond and lake fishing, we really don't have the number and quality of streams you seem to in Tennessee. Same goes for NRV in Virginia. This current stream in today's video looks just perfect....
Awesome videos! Been watching a month or so. Would you consider saying from time to time, (maybe once or twice per video), how far that "last cast was"? Will help with my perspective, and I believe enhance everyone's experience here.
My friend and and I were fishing in that spot that same day. I saw y'all and went around you not knowing it was you. But my friend thought you were me and walked up to you. He was using a hellgrammite that day too cuz I told him about them and what I learned from your vids, but he didn't know who you were. He caught up with me and said, "I think I just met a couple of RU-vidrs." I said "I bet that was John from Creek Fishing Adventures seeing that orange and black Old Town in the back of that truck in the parking lot." I showed him one of your vids and he said, "Yep that's the guy I just met."
There is a dam we fish on in the Raccoon River in Panora Iowa. It is so low you can walk across. We drop night crawlers 2ft from the rocks and catch real nice smallies. If you ever go through Iowa you should stop
John would be an awesome neighbor! However, I would end up single as I would be divorced for fishing with him all the time!!!! So the never ending question: WHERE IS JOHN FISHING TODAY????? (While I'm stuck here in my home office working!!!!!)
