I was born here and have lived in Kingston my whole life wouldn't live anywhere else. I have visited other places but Kingston will always be home for me!
There are a lot of festivals throughout the summer and into the fall and there are a lot of live music venues. Kingston has more restaurants per capita than any city in Canada. If you find it boring I suggest you look a little harder. There is a lot to do here. it's not Toronto and certainly not New York. I'm thankful for that though I do love to visit those places. For a city this size it has a ton to do, take a class at Queens for example. I've lived all over North America. I love it here.
That's too bad, I absolutely love it and I've lived all over North America. Next trip they need to visit some of the other islands near by like Amherst Island, Howe and Wolfe. Kingston is awesome!
