I very much agree with the lens glare in the backlit situations. The solution I came up with was to put a sunscreen diffuser around the camera front area to put the lens under the shade. It's extra equipment and extra effort but it seems to be working for me.

I'd love to see you do a lens review of this lens on an a6000 just to know how it would perform on a lesser body. Yes, crop factor and all. The problem with the fantastic glass is that it's always paired with the best cameras. Glass is always more important than a good body so this would be beneficial to those who can only afford one out of both camera and body. Thanks for this review.

Pretty often, it's the camera bottlenecking the glass and not the other way around. Those high end mft lenses are pointless for all but the absolutely best cameras imo. Maybe that's being generous, maybe it's true for all mft cameras.

Yeah rented one this week and it is a beast. Minimum editing needed. Agreed on the focusing in backlight and low light focusing performance. I didn't run into too much of the football bokeh as you did. Awesome lense, just don't know how's it's gonna fit in my bag if I actually purchase it....lol

Hi Manny, I finally added this lens to my arsenal, and the photos I get from it are just amazing! With my 28-70mm f/2 and 135mm f/2, I’m now selling my EF 50mm f/1.2 and 85mm f/1.2. I’m also considering getting the 200mm f/2 and maybe selling my 70-200mm f/2.8. I absolutely love the images I capture with prime lenses. Thank you again for posting videos like this. I know you mentioned that the bokeh balls are not round and like oval, I think this is very interesting and maybe the did it on purpose to make the bokeh look like anamorphic? Coz I'd love to have an anamorphic AF lens, it's just missing the horisontal lens flares.... what do you think?

I love the lens. I have the 85mm DN and the Sony 135GM .. I went got a used 105mm art Canon mount. Works well with my Fuji XT4 and the mc11 (4/2021) It will not travel in my camera bag. it is strictly portrait sessions. It will come in it’s own camera bag. Also, I’m mounting it on Manfrotto neotec monopod bracket/squeeze adjustment with the easy release. At some point I have make a decision on the 135 which I love.
