@@markcrooks1631 good point. there are so many companies doing motion and each one has a different approach. If anyone knew exactly what the market demanded (an impossible task) and how to achieve it then that would be an natural monopoly. luckily, we don't have that with consumer motion systems and we get to test, explore, discover, build, fail, and win. These absolute statements of 'nothing will' or 'never will' are indeed tested in time. Even if you were to try every system out there, it would still be your personal 'haptic' opinion. :-)
@@PeterSosinski All I know is that I've been waiting many years for a decent motion option that ticks all my needs and everything available so far today is a compromise one way or another. I came very close to buying a second hand Dbox at a good price but i chickened out at the last minute. This system is half the price of that second hand Dbox with very few compromises other than the software
Can you clarify what do you mean by this comment "if it wasn't for my extensive experience with motion system in general I could see myself being satisfied with this setup". Like is it a good system but you would prefer 4 actuators? or is it missing something else that you really want like surge and traction loss?
he means that with the 3-post, "you loose some of the locational queues", but then again you can always upgrade to the 4-post later, or just get the 4-post in the beginning.
Had the 4act kit for acouple months now and i really like it! Makes the rig really come alive! Super easy install and startup, really plug n play. It autosenses what sim you start, and even autoupdates at sw restart.. And it’s definently not noisy, the video’s makes it sound noisy but it really is’nt..
One of the best "affordable" systems to date? In any case, I love the very compact control box which allows you to connect up to 4 actuators ... and finally, a software which is not a "gas factory"
Why there is not a comparison between this set and the PT Actuators. I assume this is where people are looking for when they are looking to a review as well.
I think it's a compact, great motion system. However, I am satisfied with the open source based SFX-100 motion simulator. P.S. I think the biggest problem with motion systems is the high price.
Barry hit the nail on the head though with this system, it's plug and play. Plus the loads this system can carry rivals many alternatives which is one of the main reasons why I'm interested since a P1X with a GS5 seat is a lot of weight
@Jonas Jonaitis words of wisdom, we all want free things or the next best thing, cheap things that are typically built cheaply. It's great to have choice though in my book. It wasn't so long ago that there were only a couple of options for motion but now there's something for everyone.
@Jonas Jonaitis lol 400% profit, and you know this how exactly? Don't buy it then no one is forcing you to! For those who want something high quality and ultra strong that's built to last and is plug and play but is considerably cheaper than DBox then this is nearly perfect (once the software matures).
@@markcrooks1631 who is says is being forced to buy it??? I don´t really understand this kind of arguments when someone is just giving his point of view. Anyway, this is overpriced. 400%? I don´t know but some day will comes someone who cut that gap between have benefits and do this.
very small difference and you can always upgrade later to 4-actuator from 3-actuator by purchasing the single actuator form the website. The 3-actuator misses out from some of the left-right haptics on the front of the chassis, for example when hitting rumble strips, but other than that its very similar, and of course the 3-actuator carries slightly less weight overall.
Just heard from a contact that #SigmaIntegrale #DK2 is going to be releasing a update for their new software sometime next week. There could be the profile we have been waiting for!!!!!!
JFC the thumbnail made it look like it was a quadruple magic wand setup! Nothing wrong with that I suppose, I find it misleading TBH. In the end I was a bit disappointed that it’s a different type of actuator system. LOVE YOU STILL BARRY.
@@zeekot4064 I already have a sc2 pro setup for pc. I just need something that’s compatible with my PS5. My old T150 is just too old. I’ll definitely get the csl dd if fanatec comes out with a ps licensed version, which I’m sure they will, but for now I’m looking for something to temporarily replace my T150.
@@bowentian2485 ohh okay, simracing 604 does a pretty good review on this T248.. I just think it’s overpriced for what you’re getting .. quick question though … why do you want one for your ps5 if you already have a direct drive for your pc ?
