We had a direct 2GB link from the atrium of the convention center to inside of the VW booth space. The RC cars were outfitted with Wifi6E hot spots and we made our own silicone to handle the power management, controls and IMU for the remote motion. We used the same embedded controller that we use in our motion system, but the total visual latency was about 100-120ms. Playable at low enough speeds. ;-) Thanks Marc.

So direct drive steering was just moving motion on rig. That motion input was transmitted via data network to custom controller on RC. Amazing engineering thank you 😊

@@marccyberwiz Yes. 1) the DD steering on the chassis is moving the real RC car that is in the lobby of the auto show. 2) Yes. The motion input is from the IMU on a custom controller on the RC car. Just like the Peterbilt 579 real truck that we did 5 years ago. 3) Thank-you! @MarcCyberWiz
