On Thursday August 3rd, I delivered a keynote speech to the Signal Hill, California Rotary Club. I outlined basic components from my story in my youth and then continued on to talk about the 5 major components that aim to help those struggling in a mental health recovery or struggles. The 5 points that I cover are:
1. Develop self awareness
2. Confide in someone you trust
3. Take charge of your life
4. Accept change
5. Be patient for changes to come
Following my talk, there was some great dialogue and exchange of ideas between the audience members from the Signal Hill Rotary Club and myself as the speaker. Hopefully this can be impactful or insightful for your life as you might be navigating through your own mental health struggles in life.
