Great video! Amazing signature sound! i like that you show your chain of process in some tracks, not everybody shows that, I'm sure everyone here apreciate that detail, great content!
Awesome breakdown of the signature sounds Alex! Thank you again for uploading this material! Please keep them coming! :) Also looking forward to see how the course will look like.
Hi. Usually I never comment such videos but this kind of signature sound is really what I need in my current track for trailer label. I would like to see something like how you do such sound with serum or other synth. It's easy to find such moment in newest trailer libraries, but if we talk about unique sound we should try to do some layers by ouself. And for me personally it will be very interesting. Thanks.
Hey Minas, thanks for your comment! The sounds in my video is nothing really special and if you roam through the presets, you should be able to find something similar that you can start tweaking! Anyway, I noted it down and try to see to come up with something! :)
Brilliant video, I’m mentoring someone at the moment and this was a very key element for me. That element that will prick the ears up as something new, unidentifiable, interesting. I have a set of homemade elements I try and insert in everything I do.
Love your videos and general demeanor👍 Looking forward to the course. It would be great if you made a session available as a download to go with the course. Even if it's not one of your album tracks, just a track that you would consider finished by your standards. You may not want to release tracks with all your VSTi and effect plugins active etc, which is totally understandable. Just a printed audio version of the tracks and maybe the midi track info. (That way it's also DAW agnostic) It would be an invaluable learning tool and the type of thing that is missing from most courses/tutorials. I understand that this might present some big technical/logistical issues for you, but if you don't ask.....you don't get 😁 Anyway, Very excited to see the new course, Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much John. The plan is to talk about a few of the tracks of this album in all detail. Plugins and libs used, mixing approach, why I wrote what I wrote, the purpose of it ... and then having around 2-3 tracks (exclusively written for the course) that will be available as MIDI, DAW files (probably Cubase), stems and mix.
Another great video Alex keep these coming in this series. Question when working on this album was it Thomas and Nick themselves giving feedback and reviewing each track as a normal library/publisher would?
Liking the balance of VO vs main track when watching, some videos one encounters the music can be for instance too quiet and when the VO comes back in it's way too loud, or sharp or boomy. Schwooooop! Schwoooooop! Schwoooooop! DadadadadadaDahhh!
Great video. I've wanted black hole verb for a long while. I just can't bring myself to spend that much. Wish it would go on sale. I opted for seventh heaven brucasti and it's just awesome but black hole does a whole other thing. Someday, lol.
I was missing those tutos of yours. Not a big fan of the "you should buy this new one library that will change everything in your sound" type :) Keep up and thanks
I really like hybrid tracks that move from the heavier industrial type of sounds into orchestral climaxes. What did you use for the choirs? Sounds great!
Hey Fabian, vielen lieben Dank!
