My go-to for Turmeric supplementation:
www.glutenfreesociety.org/sho...
The research on the efficacy of turmeric extract of curcumin for alleviating the symptoms of joint arthritis is promising. Clinical trials have shown that turmeric extract at a dosage of 1,000 milligrams a day of curcumin can significantly reduce inflammation and improve biomarkers associated with arthritis.
Additionally, studies have shown positive clinical outcomes in various types of cancer, such as prostate, head and neck, breast, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers, when using curcumin. However, more research is needed to determine the full potential of curcumin as a treatment for these conditions.
It is important to note that while turmeric itself is high in oxalate, standardized turmeric supplement products contain much lower levels of oxalate. Individuals with gallbladder disease and those on blood thinners should exercise caution when taking turmeric supplements.

Thank you Dr Osborne! I have rheumatoid arthritis and was taking turmeric supplements for inflammation which were helping. I stopped taking them because I was worried about them increasing oxalate. So glad I saw your video. My pain got worse when I stopped taking it. I'm going to start taking it again.

Its blood thinning effects are so great that I get horrible migraine headaches when I take it. It doesn't help my join pain either.

it also steals/reduces iron, AND is high oxalate, for those of us who are fast stone formers. This may be why it did't help your joint pain. It's an oversimplification. Learned this the hard way.

Did you not hear him say that you need to figure out what is triggering the inflammation and eliminate the source first ,then take the supplement or you might not need it if you eliminate the source of your inflammation !😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I was just getting ready to ask about oxalates and blood thinning, so thank you for answering both; I'm sensitive to oxalates and was worrying about continuing to take it but you clarified that it's essentially only 1 mg when taken in a supplement. I do have mysterious black and blues appearing so I know I have thin blood because I take many supplements that are vasodilators. Doctors just blow that off! I will have to pay myself to have my blood tested as I do for many things through L.E.

Am I missing the reference for the study reviewed here? Some would like to read the study in addition to hearing the summary here.

Thanks for sharing. Fermenting should "get rid of" anything between 30-70 % of oxalates. Soaking is another way.

@carolmiglionico3870 There are other things you could use for pain, but turmeric is a blood thinner also . It's advised not to take it with blood thinners. I would look up what's safe to use with blood thinners. I'm sure you could find something. Blessings! 🙏

I have had much better results using SPM for inflammation. I knew it worked within 2 hours after taking it. I now take 1mg (true SPM) 2x or 3x a day.
