Briar Rose 🌹 no we will make it! I felt the same today. We have to vibrate with the frequencies of our hearts at their strongest and help heal our solar plexus chakras
I have Celiac and I have been Gluten free for a long time. I just started the Keto diet and since I am now not eating grains, I am no longer a pre diabetic. Thank you for sharing this with us 😊
I come from Rice Country, my grandparents been eating rice for hundreds if generations. They're in the ages 80's to 100's. Most of them never been to the Doctor's in their life. My Mom still livings, in facts, she's living here for over 10 years, she's 92. They just diagnosed her with diabetes and blood pressures. She have great memory.
Thank you for the info! My Dr refuses to acknowledge celiac disease but I’ve had every symptom my whole life & recently I was on the verge of committing suicide because I felt myself dying & I was in so much agonizing pain for so many years, I wanted to die instead of a slow lingering horrifically painful death while being a burden on my loved ones. I decided to try a gluten-free diet because it was the only thing I hadn’t tried & within 2 days my horrible migraine that had lasted months was gone & all of my horrific allergy symptoms were gone, too. My depression lifted etc so I kept researching. I cut sugar, soy, dairy & meat & switched to all organic fruits & vegetables, vegan sugar free (stevia) protein shakes, nuts, beans etc I feel better than I’ve ever felt & I’m 47! My Dr still won’t believe me I can’t get a DX & I’ve been completely disabled w multiple autoimmune diseases for years not to mention chronic debilitating intractable pain- yet being told it’s fibromyalgia & the rest is in my head... Mostly my diseases are gone already w exercise but I’m weak & achy I know it will take time to heal maybe a long time I’m just so angry at everything I’ve lost due to Dr’s writing me off as a lying pill seeking hypochondriac. I’d be dead now if I listened to them & I'm fighting for my life I’m 108 lbs & 5’6” because my intestines were being destroyed for years by my immune system. So frustrating & so so sad but wanted to say thank you for trying to save people like me!! My hair was falling out, I had arthritis, osteoporosis, psoriasis, chronic migraines, fibrocystic breast disease, acne, horrible allergy symptoms, so so many symptoms I have constapation so bad I have to take 6 laxatives to go to the bathroom, I know I was in end stage celiac disease. I looked like death & felt like death. I’ve already had cancer (cervical & uterine plus an 8 CM tumor in my ovary) all my life I’ve been called a liar by Dr’s. I’m dirt poor & suffered depression (which I thought it was from always being so sick). Dr’s just wanted to hand me antidepressants & get rid of me. Guess what MOST OF MY AUTOIMMUNE SYMPTOMS are GONE including depression but it’s so hard to afford everything I need to be healthy. I have no insurance now but when I did they said all my tests were normal except once at the ER I was told my T-Cells were through the roof & my temp was 106. They checked me for meningitis & when that was negative they told me my fever & pain must be caused by stress (unbelievable) I was told I had atypical antibodies but they said that meant nothing. I’m walking 2-4 miles a day til I can heal my intestines & build strength & enough weight on me to work on putting on muscle. I pray I can get through this & it’s not too late for me. The medical system in this country is DESPICABLE! I’m thankful that at least I feel vindicated it my soul- I know I never lied & I was/am horribly ill.
Tami O big hugs. Hope you and my son will recover completely. He had quite a number of symptoms. Had a stomach ulcer at 15. Both gastroenterologists never considered gluten sensitivity. 18 months later, he still has symptoms. Found out about celiac so decided to try to take him off gluten. He’s been off gluten 80% for a week and already he’s less bloated and burp-y. If only the Internet was more available for your parents when u were little...
this is the best story I have ever read in my life thank you for your post thank you for your sharing please go to plant-based diet RU-vid videos and tell your story again and again for people like me who was living crawling down the steps through my hallway through my kitchen the layout on the back deck I wanted to die outside in the sunshine I laid there and for sure. I was a goner I was going to call my husband at work... yes to tell him babe I'm dying come home I stopped eating gluten I feel amazing I go to Planet Fitness and work out almost daily I rollerblade I get vitamin D and I feel amazing I am going to be 49 years old and look 30 my skin has clears my systemic Scleroderma as practically left me I can move all my joints there's got to be people like you and me who literally can change people's lives. you know I even thought I give you my phone number which I don't care what number is 440-320-7370 name is Rochelle and I live in Ohio. thanks again for this post God bless you a big cell phone hug.
I'm reading this 2 years after you posted and can identify wif every single thing u wrote, Tami! I'm 47 and only just discovered i am highly possibly gluten sensitive. I hv suffered more than 30years and all the gastro doc could tell me was i have IBS and sent me home with no advice on how i can deal with it. In the recent 2 or 3 years, the horrible migraine headaches and brain fog were so debilitating i really felt like dying would be better. It has only been a week since i went going gluten free but i am already feeling on top of the world. I wake up every morning without a single ache or pain and hv the energy to get shit done throughout the day, instead of dragging myself around like a zombie. I am happy u have got ur life back and pray as i write u are feeling even better than before. Tq.... It's comforting to know we're not alone, because when i try to explain to my friends and family avt my condition, it's not always met with great understanding especially in a Chinese culture where every freaking food is dripping with sugar or flour and served with rice.
after being strictly gluten free for over a decade, then corn, then rice, then other starchy non-grains began to bother me as well (serious symptoms). this video explains why, I thank you!
In Haiti or most Caribbean countries, rice is a staple, we eat it everyday, and we pride ourselves on being healthy people, but our rice was tampered with. President Clinton pretty much caused our rice to disappear from the market, he flooded Haiti with American rice (duckduck go it) I wonder if our rice is different, Meaning- if it has less gluten or none at all, like wild rice because we have a lot of heirloom seeds. Either way, I grew up eating Haitian rice, definitely not the same rice I eat here, Something is amiss. I went grain free for a few weeks, and I did feel amazing, but I went back because I miss rice, Doctor Osborne is a God sent. May God continue to bless him and his family! I learn so much from Doctor Osborne everyday! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Just downloaded your book and this will be the third nutritional book in as many weeks. The Big Fat Surprise, followed by Grain Brain, and now No Grain, No Pain. You gave an excellent presentation, Thank you
@@northnsouth6813 That's the one, your comment just reminded me of that line . The host really "gets into the weeds" so to speak lol. I was thinking the same thing when I realized it was an hour +.
I stumbled upon this video after googling basmati rice gluten-free, thousand times. And I was not convinced.I felt horrible after eating it. I was convinced 100% that rice can’t be gluten-free. It was my experience after 3 months going rice free. So Doc you nailed it👍🏼
These talks are very helpful. Not eating grain has helped my pain a lot. I also have Hyper-mobile Ehler's Danlos Syndrome. Maybe you can have a talk about EDS - known to be a genetic disorder.
Dr Peter Osborne, the Dr Willem Dicke' & Dr Sidney Haas of our time... Thank you so much doc!!! God bless you for all your tireless efforts in getting this life saving information out there!
I have gluten sensitivity and rice definately is a problem for me. Bloating and constipation are some of the symptoms I get when consuming. Also a feeling of just not feeling great. Could it be because rice shares the same lectin protein as wheat, wheat germ agglutinin I wonder. Does anybody suffer these symptoms?
Rice in general, is good, but American rice, just like other things American, is bad. My tribal people grow rice, and it's purely organic, and you found men and women who are over 100 even though they feed on rice.
👍Good video & info to consider. I have a non celiac (as far as I know, I will not go to a doctor) gluten allergy - I get a terrible histamine rash reaction with hives & welts if I eat anything with gluten in it (all of this just stated 2 weeks ago never had a gluten issue per se) - I don’t really like rice very often, but when I do I never have a gluten symptoms. If I eat rice I usually eat brown jazmine rice, black rice, red rice. I even find relief from stomach issues sometimes when I eat rice. Sometimes if my stomach is upset (for what ever reason) it seems to calm my stomach and I can hold down food. I like the rice with a small pat of good non GMO butter or ghee, pink Himalayan or sea salt & fresh cracked pepper seems to work. 😁
Hello maybe you can try dedicating to making cultured vegetables. Check out the health benefits and how it offsets a lot of the gluten and sugars we eat. Culture vegetables are a lifesaver
There is nothing left to eat. Now everyone in my town will call me pshycopath if I go gluten free. We have to live with this type of intolerance. I need Asylum to countries ahve gluten free products and where people are much educated to accept gluten free community.
OK. Rice has ten times less Gluten than Wheat.... that is not that bad. The issue of contaminants (due all the bad field treatments ) that is a different story. That affects even our glass of water! Oriental diet for 100's of years has been rice based, and their longevity is a fact. Actual oriental health is more affected by opening to Western diets.... So, there may be LOTS of studies of ALL the foods that harm us in many ways.... this starts to sound like a witch hunt. The approach seems to have gone wrong... Perhaps the real question should be, is: WHY are we all so delicate health-wise that we can't eat a piece of bread! The amount of Factors left aside in all these statements is big.
I react even worse to almonds or walnuts than to peanuts! Nuts are all potentially contaminated with mycotoxins. Besides that almonds are high in omega 6 and super inflammatory. Soaking it sprouting and when possible peeling the nits can help in digestion. I personally have learned and experienced that excluding all kinds of nuts and seeds unless sprouted into microgreens and also excluding all kinds of cooked, baked or fried starches and eating alkaline organic produce instead is a more healing diet than a nut and starch including diet. Even quinoa or tapioca or chia and flax seeds (except when sprouted into microgreens...).
Highly grateful for your passing of information I have done a lot of research to come across this idea and to have it confirmed rather than testing it again is so much better. I have never had many skin problems and when this intolerance spiraled out of control I felt on the verge of losing my mind. I’m seeking treatment and keeping my knowledge growing. I’m currently going through an attack and still feel a bit weary about what to eat but I am considering paleo options minus some factors. Are there any red flags about corn? Being it’s so genetically modified?? I hope for a future where people can trust the food industry 🙏
This is true for me about rice- bloatedness, insomnia and joint pains after years of eating them. I also abstain from eating any.food with gluten. I feel so sick- joint pain, diZziness, acid reflux, insomnia, also.muscle cramps
Rice is not highly glycimic, or else bodybuilders would not use as a staple food. Arsenic is an issue with brown or whole grain rice, not with white rice, as arsenic is contained in the outer shell. Ignoring this discredits your claims. Also rinsing rice, whether brown or white lowers heavy metal content, and is always recommended.
@@Drivenwithambition research? When did you last publish a paper? Can you demonstrate your claim with evidence? Just calling my comment gibberish doesn't make it so.
@@Gen1-Rev22 Yeah, rice seems to be misunderstood. If we're to guide our selves by common medical sense, then we'd have to assume rice would turn everybody into diabetics with metabolic syndrome people in at least one blue zone eat high quantities of rice. Okanawans, if I recall. The Chinese eat a lot of rice too and don't suffer from inordinate levels of diabetes, if I recall.
@@Gen1-Rev22 But it may have something to do with the food eaten with the rice too. Meat and fat slow down absorption of those carbs, for instance. But I don't think anyone has a handle on why some cultures eats tons of rice without health issues.
Is it possible that vertigo can be triggered by gluten to include vomiting, bowel movements. I've had every test and ruled out other causes. I've had attacks close to consuming corn.
Just listened to this tonight Dr Osborne Totally agree Asian and black people eating rice and wheat / grain do suffer from diabetes and other related health conditions. This is so true their diet does have an impact in different ways. No one looks into the nutrition side to what is causing their health problems, lots of sugar is part of their diet and fried food. The food they eat is part of their culture and have been raised eating it. Thank you for the excellent presentation. Kam from UK 😊
The Problem With Quinoa… Technically, quinoa is gluten free. However; the processing of the pseudo grain is often performed in facilities that also process other grain based foods. This is where cross contamination becomes a major issue. A recent study found that 41% of processed products randomly pulled from grocery shelves contain enough gluten to cause damage to those with gluten sensitivity. As stated above, quinoa is a seed. One of the problems with seeds in general, is that they are particular hard to digest. Many seeds contain gluten like proteins and chemical compounds called lectins. Many of the lectins and gluten based components have been shown to created digestive suppression and inflammatory problems in humans, and they are known contributors of autoimmune disease. Come on. Do some research. I eat Vegan, mostly raw, I'm gluten sensitive, allergic to many foods and I do just great. No one is going to make a list of foods for you. You have to do it for yourself.
Right, I just starting investigating this gluten free stuff because I have been sick for so long, I had no idea what was going on. I started just eating white rice and lost 7 pounds in one week!! I will continue to research with the help of Mr. Osborne.
I was my sickest which lead to a TIA and my inability to walk unassisted when we were taking care of ELS Students and we were eating tons of rice!!! I 100% agree, rice is NO GOOD for those who are gluten intolerant. I was diagnosed with MOST LIKELY CELIAC at the age of 67 because I discovered that there are corn derived serums used in some of the anesthesia and I am highly reactive to corn. NO GRAINS FOR ME!! No more mini strokes, and walking without a cane today.
I was born with a twisted bowel and my mother lost twins before me.. I almost died at 12 mths of age... I had wall to wall amalgams, all the classics of gluten intolerance.. skins bad now etc. what are your views also on mercury amalgam poisoning.. and the destruction of the good bacteria in the gut... I believe its a huge contributor towards damage done to all cells throughout the body. Thank you for your information its so helpful.
I have gluten sensitivity and my doctor also found that I had lead and arsenic poisoning a few years ago. I wonder if the heavy metals were from my childhood diet. I had a lot of issues with my legs as a teenager, they wouldn't work in the mornings when I'd wake up. I never find out what was wrong with me and eventually it stopped. Related to the hm's and neurological backlash of gluten?
Arsenic has been found in some baby food, maybe it froms rice formulas and rice milk. Lead can be found in paint. But amalgam fillings and vaccines contain neurotoxins as well, It's possible that the gluten creating small holes in the gut allows these metals to penetrate the blood brain barrier.
Idk potatoes weren't gf and have been eating loads of them. I'm in total shock and am pissed bc idk what else I'm going to eat 😵 I've been so so sick this passed few months. This explains it.
Thank you Dr Osborne!!! Your videos have helped me immensely! I'm feeling so much better off gluten... And didn't know about corn and rice until recently having gluten too, with watching your videos.
What about Spelt? The grand-parent of modern wheat? For some reason, some I know with extreme reactions to wheat, but do NOT have those negative reactions apparent when consuming bread made from spelt!?
Rice flour is specifically gliadin gluten free. So yes, it is gluten free to specific gluten proteins. But what is not taken into account is that rice has a gluten protein called: Orzenin
From the studies I have read, it is best to stay away from the "gluten free" aisle anyways, most everything on this aisle are processed foods. And ALL grains have gluten, not just wheat products.
because rice is cheap , if they use exotic products and make gluten free flour it will cost the manufactures more and the less it costs the better. ps : sry for bad english
Hi doc.l appreciate your knowledge and in educating us but my question is with all these foods off the radar, the big question is tell us what can we eat, we have to eat thanks for your answer.
Peanuts grow underground. Not on bushes. The aboveground part sort of looks like a bush. We grew them when I was a child. Pulled them out of the ground and shook the dirt off and laid them out on newspapers to dry. We knew they weren't nuts before we knew they were legumes
All this 'gluten free' business, this allergy that intolerance, these bodily inflammatory responses to whatever, air intolerance.... Is a symptom of a much , much bigger picture/ issue. If a certain population in a particular geography, exhibits consistent intolerance to stuff like dairy, gluten, night shade vegetables, etc... It means that said population is just overall unhealthy. Humans have been thoroughly digesting grains , wheat, cheeses dairy with absolutely no prob. so long as the food items were/ are organic, pesticide free, and properly soaked/soured/ fermented prior to cooking / consumption. Today we have a population that are 'industrially ' born in hospitals and traumatically birthed, then administered totally unnecessary array of toxic vaccines that destroy infant gut flora.
Prince Pouncer and the processed food industry has bastardized our food so much in the last 50 years & added more & more toxins not to mention big pharmaceutical & Dr’s forcing poison on us instead of preaching nutrition (they know nothing about nutrition except they can’t get rich off of it!) our country actually just sucks & profits off keeping us chronically ill
God bless you. This is basically what I have been saying for a while now, except you put it together very eloquently. For example where I came from in the Balkans, when you go to the remote villagers or farmers, this is what they essentially live on, dairy products and wheat. People have been living on dairy products and wheat for thousands of years and suddenly we cant consume them, there is something wrong. I agree that there is something really wrong here and unfortunately people in the West are like sheep, dumbed down and cant think outside of their bubbles. I have no doubt that these people who ever they are treat us like their fucking cattle and I am sick and fucking tired of it. I guess we need to spread the message, one person at a time.
Fed up. Every video on u tube telling you what to eat. Last couple of minutes found no meat no dairy no sugar no carbohydrates no high fibre veg or rains or nuts. Yuk
Help me. I feel like idk what I can eat anymore. Cam someone give me an example of a breakfast lunch and dinner? I don't do gluten, now no corn, now no rice and my goodness all the grains mentioned and no seafood. Help! Also pregnant.
Ok guys im intolerant to all grains give me anxiety muscle aches brain fog etc , When i soak rice 24 hours in water i have no digestuve issues and other physical pain.... what a great thing i discover
@@jriodgs6112 great you need put a little of vinegar in it during soaking it will enable bad bacterias to grow, or you can put a starter like little bit of probiotics drinks it will digest more the rice
My freinds think im nuts. they are like you are the healthiest sick person i know. The cleaner i eat the worse I seem to get.. Ohh but its all in your head? right?
Gluten free diet reversing diabbetes type 2 has been shown ?! Im fairly positive what's been shown is that a bodyweight loss reverses it, especially fat around the mid section.
Hulled grain is significantly better than with the hull, I've been hearing more & more. That's why numerous cultures like Asia always hulled the grain for thousands of years
this is why #teamwhiterice is popular. People find all this stuff so restrictive and report white rice once a week does them no harm. For me it's pasta on Sunday. There is probably an ethnic link as I'm of Italian ancestry and we ate a lot more wheat while other parts of Europe ate much less. And we are not as tall so it's probably the anti-nutrients in wheat.
Keith, Many old cultures intuitively knew more about Nutrition, without all the scientific validation, plus sooo many studies are highly flawed, that's why it's so important look at cultural evidence as well as listening to our bodies as closely as possible
Keith Barbaro The Northern Europeans being taller/bigger has more to do with the cold weather than eating less wheat. Even within China, generally the northern Chinese are taller and bigger than the southern Chinese, and the northerners eat way more wheat than the southerners.
The agriculture of rice has not been consistent for thousands of years. The asian countries have some of the most toxic rice production. Is cooking it a certain way going to prevent high levels of arsenic and other contaminants? Not being sarcastic. Really try to get info. I’m Puerto Rican and I’d like to eat rice once a month if I can
Dr. Osborne, thank you for all your research and sharing your knowledge. I have a question about burning mouth. Often when I eat wheat, nuts, seeds and whole grains, my mouth and throat burn. I also believe I have SIBO. Is there any link between burning mouth reactions and gastric inflammation? Thank you for any info you can provide.
not a doctor, but could it be oral allergy syndrome? I do have this problems with banana and mangoes, not the listed items. I get a pretty bad sore throat after some time
I'm also allergic to grain which have higher gluten amount like wheat, white flour etc but I use pure oats flour instead and rice maybe once a week ....
It’s an interesting discussion which we should be surveying. I went “gluten-free” and was confused why rice left me in bowel spasms, same corn, but not oats?? Does this mean much?? I won’t touch rice now... I think further research should be done. Even just surveys of people’s symptoms and everyday reactions.
@@tanveerahmed1910 well I have a bad reaction to it, causing an medium-level abdominal pain for 20 minutes. perhaps an intolerance. not sure about allergic. wont eat it ever again.
