Just wanted to say- planned a natural birth- got an epidural- no regrets. Learning signs of labor is great! Natural birth is great, but if you're in terrible pain and natural stuff aint working, it's ok to get an epidural- no guilt!
This is exactly where I am today! 38 weeks and 2 days and expecting my second child after 12 years! A baby boy as well 🥰🤗 I hope your labor and birth was everything you dreamed it would be. I’m praying the same for me 🙏🏾

31 weeks today with my 3rd. Thinking about going natural... especially because our bodies were made and built for child birth. Wishing all mom's a safe and beautiful delivery.
I am 38 weeks today and so excited to meet my baby love bug 💕 I've been exercising, Nesting ❤, using my birthing ball, cleaning the whole house, washing and folding all of her clothes 💖, using the restroom , feeling a bit sick, BUT ALL IN ALL I AM SO THANKFUL AND I COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH THIS WITHOUT MY HEAVENLY FATHER! Praying for a safe and healthy delivery for me and my baby girl as well as all the expecting Mama's! And A Quick healing process as well! 🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Just had baby girl Monday, I was in labor at home for about 6 hours thinking they were Braxton Hicks... I got to the hospital just in time 8cm dilated pushed her out 45 minutes later didn’t have enough time for epidural so natural we went!! 😆
You’ll be fine trust me. Your body was made for this. Trust your instinct and try some breathing techniques and relaxation, hypnobirthing etc. Currently in labour at 39 weeks. Wish you both well.
Girl don’t worry lol I had my first baby girl at 21-22 and by the time your in your last weeks you’ll be ready with being comfortable again and done with being pregnant. I am now pregnant again at 37 weeks and I’m so excited and not anxious at all, I’m more focused on having the baby here and getting myself back . However getting a epidural makes a huge difference in how your labor goes.
39 weeks today with my third I’ve watched your videos every pregnancy like it’s the first time so helpful and reassuring that again we’re built for this. Hoping for a second safe natural delivery any day now ❤️.
@@alexiapommells4589 it went well, almost 16 hours of labor, 5cm when I went to the hospital and 100% effaced. Got an epidural at about 8-9 cm as my back pain became too much, he was in my back midwives said.
@@mukisa4 oh dear, i also had it around 34 week, no worries they will only help your body preparing.. midwives and doulas i talked to cheered up that i had braxton hicks, seems like ur body is preparing! trust yourself and breath consciously! sending all best

This is my fourth baby, and this video is the most wholistic, accurate and helpful explanation of labor signs I’ve seen. I feel like most videos over-emphasize just one indication, which may or may not accurately be a sign of impending labor for you. Thank you! This video gave me more confidence to trust my instincts.
I’ve had a medicated hospital birth ( due to my son having congenital heart defects) and 2 homebirths, one accidental and one planned. I planned to have an unmedicated hospital birth, but about 10 minutes before my accidental homebirth I had my mom call the hospital to tell them “they better have the anesthesiologist waiting on me because I want the epidural NOW. I don’t think I’ll be able to have one, but in case I can I want them ready.” In that moment I remembered reading that when you get to the point that you feel like you can’t do it anymore the baby will be here very soon. I had the next contraction and that is when I let my husband and mom know we weren’t going to make the 30 minute drive to the hospital, we were having this baby at home. My mom caught our baby girl about 10 minutes later.😂 My labor was only 2.5 hours. I never dreamed I would have such a short labor, but it was wonderful and is the reason I planned to have my third birth at home. Water seems to speed up my labor very quickly and 2.5 hours was a little too fast for me so for my planned homebirth I wanted to have more like a 4 hour labor. I stayed out of the water until I was ready to have the baby and about 20 minutes after I got into the tub, almost exactly 4 hours of labor later, my second baby boy was born. I delivered him myself and it was everything I ever wanted and more!
A sign I was about to go into labour was the hormones that flood your body right before made me really emotional a couple days before contractions started. Also had lightening crotch really bad in the weeks that lead up to labour, more frequent bowel movement, more cm and the top of my tummy went tight the night before. I had a bit of a traumatic birth as she broke my tailbone on her way out, but it is so worth it and I’m so full of pride for growing my baby and what my body was capable of :) x
I’m 38 weeks and 2 days with my second. I have been having light lightening crotch, tightening of the stomach, blah feeling and today I got so emotional and bawled my eyes out along with feeling anxious and shaking. I was wondering if this could be a sign that I just didn’t have with my first born. This pregnancy has been completely different. Congratulations on your little one!

37 weeks tomorrow! Lost my mucus plug on Friday and had the bloody show on Saturday. Contractions on and off but nothing too consistent. Midwife on Friday said I was almost 2 cm dilated. This is my second pregnancy and I think my baby will be here very soon.

@Emonie Day omg no way for a month😟. I just feel cramps but like the normal ones that don’t hurt. So today is my due date and I have like 3 days releasing the mucus but still no signs of going into labor. Im scared I can’t open or something like that😔😔.

Hahaha, I’m craving carbs too! My carbs of choice have been Chinese dumplings and noodle soup 🥟🍜 🥡🥢, and Pakistani paratha! I love international cuisine, so my carb cravings have spanned the world!
