Honestly, Nohr is what if that one mercenary country in most FE games was just a whole kingdom. It makes sense most Nohrians would perform well in battle, even in Hoshidan classes.

Silas is always a interesting unit due to his different roles in CQ, BR and especially Revelations but he always manages to be great even if fufilling completely different roles.
The Nohrian caste is just stacked, not only their personal growths but also the way their classes are balanced is just so much better than almost all of the options on the Hoshidan side. So yeah getting just a straight-up Conquest unit in Birthright ends up with him being reaaally good.
Exactly Even the worse units of Conquest are relatively on brand for the average Birthright units power wise and much better than the bad ones. Like look at Arthur, he's not one of the units I'd typically stick to in Conquest once the other options start popping up, but he's far from bad and can be pretty good with a limited amount of investment, compare that to his equivalent in Rinkah which is ...... I mean, you can make her work ig, but man, I'm not sure I'd be willing to do that. Seriously, when your "barbarian" type character has only 55% Str growth even once factoring in it's class, that stings so bad, and it's not like her other growths are much better either. @@sephikong8323 rinkah is a magic unit not physical. it sounds wierd but with orochi friendship and her personal skill she can be a high defense 1-2 range enemy phase sweeper who has no trouble doubling AND killing.
One thing that could be fun, perhaps as a separate series of videos instead of these unit analyses, would be to cover the child units, how they are differentiated from their fathers/others in the same class, and several of the top mother options. I particularly like the Birthright second generation; so planning out the kids is one of my personal favorite objectives in Birthright.
Ninja Silas good and all but my favorite feature of his is definitely his fast support with F.Corrin, let have an early smooch smooch time and unlock Nichol (Male Camilla) + the OP Wyvern Lord Reinforcement (Xander but with perfect ranks). Works for both BR and CQ and you can do it before the respective chapter 10. Cheesing the games with 2 flying royal-tier prepromotes is fun.
@@TheLonelyNihilego Sadly you can only get 2 before chapter 10, but Nichol and Generic W.Lord are more than enough. Besides CQ is full of awesome capturables as well, Haitaka, Life or Death Samurai and Rallyman are all lowkey top units
36:34 maid Hinoka? Right Azura!! I completely forgot lol, yeah Maid Hinoka isn’t the best *But*, her personal + inspiration & demosile does give (M) allies a +4/-4 swing! (-2 on F)(another +2 if she also has Charm from Lucina) subtracting almost a full weapon fair & giving it to allies in 2 spaces sounds great! Tho she would probably like healing too (outside of Live to serve that is XD)

That + Gentilhomme means a full -4 to all (F!)ally’s in 2 spaces & +2 damage, a minor buff but i believe he would be a fun attack stance unit in this case, if nothing else I think the staff rank is nicer to have than a sword rank he’s probably not using, plus shuriken give +2 speed, & with the amount of speed boosts you have access too (rally, food, tonic, etc.) I don’t fully see a -3 difference meaning as much Now I’ll be fair, I haven’t played Birthright in a good while, but to me, I find the Dmg reduction skills + staff rank more than Shuriken fair (though writing this I just realized idr if his personal works with Replicate, if it does then I’m probably more ninja, good 50/50, shuriken fair is nicer to pass down tbf) Also I did get a funny thought to Build a Sol Felicia & attack stance to give eachother the -4/+2 boost, would that keep her alive? Probably not, but it sounds cool so I wanted to say it lol
I am using Silas for use but also daughter. Considering Bowzu is dead content is it worth partner sealing him for 2 levels before Sophie or will it screw him over

Birthright suits Silas well ngl. I'm very much not a big fan of Silas in Conquest but I find he's much more usable in Birthright despite his stats being the same.
I have never been a fan of Silas. Most cavalry units have been good at worst, but... unlike the likes of Franz and Sain, he has almost always disappointed... therefore, I cannot blame Corrin for forgetting him. He is *very* forgettable, especially in comparison to his daughter. That said, at least he didn't get shafted in Revelation like most other Nohrian units did. *shudders in Nyx and Xander and Leo's retainers*
Silas I'd argue is a better unit than every gba cav, Silas's early game performance isn't outdone by anyone (other than Camilla in Conquest anyway, as well as potentially Corrin) and he stands out in his late-game role.
@@twigz3214 Honestly, I would argue just the opposite. I've never seen anything Silas and ONLY Silas could do, even in earlygame. Also, his personal skill does NOT help his case; Corrin is one of the few reliable units I have early on, no matter the route, and having him at least half dead does absolutely nothing whatsoever for me.
@@user-wl5jt7vz2u I’d argue the opposite for vow of friendship, because you want to fight a lot with Corrin they will get low hp, and with the dragonstone they are more than bulky enough to live 1, maybe 2 hits while low hp so activating Silas’s personal is really easy. Additionally Silas can even hit one shot thresholds on squishy enemies early in Conquest with all his damage stacking vs enemies like the Peg knights and Ninja’s in chapter 10. When planned around I found tons of instances where his personal greatly helped and Corrin was still able to easily contribute with one shots of their own in attack stance with the dragonstone. It’s harder to activate later on when Corrin wants to also be doing 1-2 range enemy phase combat of their own but early game it’s easy to activate and incredibly reliable. Early game he is one of the best combat unit in both Birghtright and Conquest, you just need to take more care to give him more str or speed pair ups (either to oneshot squishy enemies or to get him reliably doubling) or attack stance for more damage and activating Corrin’s personal while keeping them alive isn’t hard with the massive bulk bonus from the dragonstone.
@@twigz3214 Really now? Because with Corrin being one of, if not my best unit early on, leaving them half dead to boost a worse unit is a negative, no matter which way you slice it. It sounds much closer to "risky to activate and incredibly moronic to keep active" than "easy to activate and incredibly reliable".
